Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ok middle line faucet if not broken Ok faucet in the not cheap not top of the line faucets. Sturdy material. My problem is that it broke and limited lifetime warranty was very limited. Water coming down from inside the faucet under sink and pull out tube broke. Looked like a small hole in copper tube from corrosion or something finally pushed through and using the sprayer broke the tube. Tossed it out and got one with more complete warranty even if it does not spray as nice as this one did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Disappointment I had an older faucet (Delta 470 ) which gave me great service, but grew oldand started to leak around the handle, so I decided to buy another. Greatest mistake I ever Made. The faucet creaks when you turn it on . It runs or drips when you try to shut it off. One has to fiddle with the handle to get it to shut off. This is a great disappointment . I wouldn't buy from this company nor another delta faucet again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Longtime user, lifetime warranty is a major plus We installed this faucet about 8 years ago, it has been a very good buy overall. Sprays well, finish holds up good, being able to clean the rubber nubs on the spray head is a nice feature when you have hard water. Was fairly easy to install. We did have two issues over time. First one the hose started to leak a bit where it connects to the handle. Called delta and they sent out a replacement no problem, was a different design from the original so probably a correction to an original design flaw. After 8 years of heavy use the spray handle didn't seat as well as it used to, again, called Delta and they quickly sent out the entire spray section (we figured it just needed a new o-ring but they sent the whole deal). Both replacement parts were easy to replace and arrived just a couple days after our call. I really think with something like a kitchen faucet you cannot expect heavily used parts to last forever, so the lifetime warranty is really worth it (ps, save your receipt, makes it easier)

The price is reasonable, its easy to keep clean and easy to use. What more do you need in a kitchen faucet?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Basis fault From the beginning the pull-out part of the faucet would not fit back into the opening. I paid a plumber to tinker with it, but he failed to remedy the fault. For six months since then, the pull-out part has dangled below the opening with a couple of black plastic (?) gaskets exposed. It will not even fit in when shoved -- and who wants to be jamming a faucet head in place every time you use it? I am planning to ask Delta for a replacement of a DIFFERENT MODEL.

The brushed stainless finish shows every water spot with my hard water, so I have to keep drying off the spots.

We had chrome before and I like the artic stainless finish much better. I've only had the faucet for about a month so we'll wait to see how it holds up long term.

My concern was finding parts to repair the faucet, as I had no information on the model or serial no. of the faucet. The Delta web site walks you right through the style, type and model of their line of faucets. It was extremely easy to find the faucet that is installed in my kitchen and to find necessary repair parts with directions and model no's. Thank You Delta !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta 470-WE-DST This faucet replaced another manufacturer's unit that broke. The Delta is good quality, but nothing out of the ordinary. The head is a bit hard to pull out to use the sprayer, but in general, it is pretty solid and works fine. The biggest complaint I have is the limited water flow. We live in the country and have our own well, and while I don't advocate wasting water, our water is fairly soft, so greater pressure is a big plus. I had the plumber install the larger flow connection, but it's still fairly limited. It would be nice to have removable limiters, as the other faucet had, to set it up for my situation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Faucet We actually purchased two of these (Delta 470-DST) at different times; both were black: one for our kitchen and one for our laundry room. We have had several complements on the faucets. We also purchased two matching soap dispensers (Kohler K-9619). My wife has commented several times that she enjoys the utility of the pressure of both settings, regular stream and spray in the kitchen and laundry room sinks. They work better than our previous faucets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sticky Black Goop We have had to replace the hose on this model once already. Now sticky black goop is coming out of the faucet into our drinking water. When I took off the hand sprayer it was filled with sticky black goop the consistency of wood glue, The agent at Delta told us that the hose lining in this model has a history of breaking down and clogging up the hand sprayer. Her solution offered no apology. However, she gave us the tip to soak the hand sprayer in vinegar and water. I have no idea how long we have been filling up our ice trays and drinking glasses with the lining of the hose,

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I like this faucet a lot but have 2 minor complaints: 1. The style lever/valve that Delta faucets have makes it very difficult to get the right temperature. It is either too hot or not hot enough. You have to give it a slight "tap" to get it right where you want -way too touchy. 2. In certain positions, the faucet makes a high pitched singing noise. Not loud but it annoys my wife.

I would definately make purchases again from this company. One improvement that could be made is to let the customer know that Delta guarantees their product for life and I did not realize that until I received my new faucet. However, I sent the old faucet to Delta and they are reimbursing me for the purchase of my new faucet.

They only had to drill one hole in my new Corian countertop. It looks GREAT! It isn't real tall like most of the kitchen faucets that I looked at but it is tall enough to put a tall pitcher under it. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking faucet We have only had the Delta 470 DST installed for a month but so far it is working great (the water output is wonderful) and looks great. I have a white solid surface sink and had a Moen white faucet before. I was never happy with the output of water and the finish turned yellow over time so I decided I would go with a Delta chrome faucet this time. I was a little apprehensive about how chrome would look with my white sink --but I am very happy with it. With care in keeping the water wiped off of it after use, it seems like it will stay nice and shiny. We did pay a very good reputable plumber to install it for us which I feel is important. I am trusting Delta that it will be a faucet we will be enjoying for a long time to come.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not So Great Faucet reach was not as expected and does not work well with a large sink. Swivel is limited which also affects faucet reach. Water shuts off only when faucet is aligned in the middle - otherwise the water continues to run (but it it so quiet you may not notice). Enough dripping down the faucet to create a pool of water after each use. Looks good, low profile, stainless matches fridge.

how to take handle apart

Hello Steel6999, Thank you for your question. The handle of the Delta Signature Kitchen Pull-Out Kitchen 470-WE-DST faucet can be removed by first removing the red/blue button cover, using your fingernail or a sharp pin. Then using a 1/8" Allen wrench unscrew the set screw and pull the handle straight off the unit. Faucet will drip if not in certain position. Is there a video how to replace o rings?

Thank you for your question, Mary 9078! The design of the cartridge will require that the handle be placed in the center-downward or forward position in order to shut off the water. Do you have a water filter that is attached to a kitchen faucet our plumber recommended 470-DST

Thank you for your question, JOANNA!You can connect a water filter to any Delta kitchen faucet that is not a pull-out or pull-down design. Some Delta kitchen faucets, like the 470-DST have a cache, or hidden, aerator for design purposes. What are the differences among 470-DST, 472-DST, 470-WE-DST, 470-AR-DST, and 470-ARWE-DST models?

Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your question! The model 470-DST has a solid handle and the 472-DST has a loop handle. "WE" models are Water Efficient and have a lower flow rate than non-WE models (currently 1.5 GPM and 1.8 GPM). The "AR" suffix refers to the finish color Arctic Stainless. Models without a finish suffix (AR, BL, WH) are Chrome. Can a PUR or Brita faucet filtration system be attached to the Signature Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet and if so how ? Thank you!

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 470-WE-DST or any pullout or pull down faucet is not recommended to have a filter hooked up to the faucet. The faucet is not designed to have anything added to it and could malfunction.

How do I tighten up the tower on this faucet?

This era faucet does not match the manual that I just downloaded and I cannot tell how to tighten it up. It is a possibility that the contractor did not install it correctly and that is the reason but I cannot tell without the correct manual. I believe that he threw away the manual or kept it.

Hello - My 470-ARWE-DST has a slow leak when turned off after use. What repair kit do I need to purchase to fix this leak?

Hi, Mike. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. We recommend to clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Unscrew the bonnet nut. Pull the valve cartridge out and clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly. Reinstall the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the faucet still leaks, we recommend to replace both the valve cartridge assembly, RP50587. Best Regards, Rosanna
