Water flow pressure

How do I clean the screens on the spray head of your 9159-DST Trinsic kitchen faucet
Thank you for your question, Jeanie! We recommend unscrewing the wand assembly from the hose and soaking it in a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution for about 30-60 minutes, then run water both directions through the wand. You can also use an old toothbrush to gently scrub the aerator. Please be sure that the hose does not retract into the spout with the wand removed.

I see this product is “No Lead Compliant.” Is it NSF 372 certified or just NSF 61? Link to Certification?

There are no lead containing components used in the construction of the Delta Trinsic Kitchen Pull-Out 9159-DST faucet or any of our DST (Diamond Seal Technology) and LF (Lead Free) faucets. Delta Certifies products with a third-party certifier, CSA Group, to the ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1, Plumbing Supply Fittings. To be in compliance with ASME A112.18.1/CSA B125.1 Section 4.9.1 (excerpt below), the model is required to be in compliance with the applicable section of NSF 61.

How do you replace the aerator on this model? I have this model and it needs cleaning but I have no idea how to remove the aerator for cleaning. Note I do not have the manual or original packaging.
Thank you for your question, Robert. The aerator is not designed to be removed. However, you can unscrew the spray wand from the hose and clean the screen at the hose connection as any debris from the water lines would found here. We also recommend soaking the wand in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to help dissolve mineral buildup.

Is there a coordinating hot water dispenser that would work with the Trinsic kitchen faucet in champagne bronze?

Thank you for your question. Delta does make Beverage faucets that can be connected to a cold or hot water supply valve. The Delta 1977-DST would be the closest matching beverage faucet to your Delta Trinsic kitchen 9159-DST faucet.

I need to replace a part, but have no idea what it is called. There as once a part that when the nozzle retracted, the sprayer set in to. That part disintegrated. Now my sprayer does not sit neatly pack in to the connecting point. What is this called?

Retracting hose
We love this new faucet, but seem to have trouble retracting the pull down wand after we pull it out. It pulls out ok and the magnet helps it go back in place, but we find that we have to guide the hose back in. Do we need more weight? Is there anything we can do to improve it? Thanks!

Thank you for your question. The hose assembly of the Trinsic Kitchen Pull down faucet 9159-DST model, is not designed to self retract back in the faucet. You would need to push it back up into the faucet. Delta does not make self retracting Pullout/down faucets.

Can the on off handle be on the left as well as the right?

Thank you for your question. We recommend installing the faucet with the handle on the right. The handle operates by tilting away from the faucet to turn on and rotating forward to increase the temperature. Unfortunately, there is no way to reverse the movement, so if the handle is installed on the left, it will rotate backwards.

How can you either clean or replace one of the supply tubes? It seems to be blocked with sediment.

The supply lines can not be replaced so if removing the wand doesn't improve the flow, than you will need to flush the lines of the faucet as debris is mostly likely trapped inside. Can this (9159-DST) be installed with on/off handle in front?
Your specifications indicate that 2 1/2 inch clearance is necessary between the spout center and the backsplash. My clearance is only 1 1/2 inch so I am wondering if this particular faucet can be installed so that the handle is positioned in front. Thank you for your help.

I have checked my GPM and only get 1GPM in either normal or spray mode. Is there a way to clean the areator? This was installed when the house was built 3 years ago. This a nice unit but at 1GPM it takes almost 2 min for hot water to reach the faucet.

Once the 54" hose that it comes with is installed, how much of that hose can be extended from the faucet? If I substitute it with the 62" hose, are you saying that it will only extend 18-22" from the faucet? I am looking for a faucet that has approx. 24"

How do you remove the buttom on the handle to then tighten the screw?
The handle of my faucet is very loose. I can't seem to find something to use to pop the screw "cover" off. What do you all suggest we use to remove that cover and then get in to tighten the screw?

I'm having new stone counter tops installed in my kitchen. I'm having a company come over to take measurements. I want to let them know what size hole or opening to make on the counter to install this particular faucet, which would be a single hole application. Other than price, what is the difference between Trinsic & Trinsic Pro? Both have same model #.

The Trinsic Pro version is actually model number 9659-DST and has a coiled spout that can be removed from the arm so that you can point the sprayer in any direction. The internal 70" pull-out hose can also be extended from the end of the coiled spout for additional reach.

Will faucet work with a tight backsplash
I have about 2" between the center of my hole and the backsplash of my counter. I was wondering if the faucet would still work in this tight space. For example, does the handle operate only in a pull down fashion or does it require space to push the handle back to turn on either the hot or cold water. Thanks.
The faucet works in pull down only. It is in the off position
in the picture, but it moves to half way down to be on hot
fully. You move the faucet handle to the right to turn it on
and it only moves about an inch or less to the right to be on full
force. The answer is yes, you can use this in a tight spot.
The faucet does not operate back at all, all the movement
in the handle is down and to the right.

What is the purpose for the min 2.5" clearance
What is the purpose for the min 2.5" clearance from the center of the faucet to the backsplash? It seems it wouldn't be for the faucet handle since it moves out and forward, not backward. I have about 2" clearance and want to get this faucet but am confused if the 2" clearance would be enough for the faucet to be installed correctly and function properly.

Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic Kitchen Pull-Down 9159-DST faucet has a recommended minimum 1 1/2"
(38 mm) clearance to the back splash, due to the spout being able to swing 360 degrees.

Yes, you can vary the water flow be aware that it is a lot easier to pull out open the faucet, you need the patience and small hands to open it gently.
