Q&A

I have 9159-DST (trinsic low lead single handle pull down kitchen faucet). The screen in the Aerator has crumbled in pieces and fell out. The water flow is anything but smooth. How do I fix this or what part is needed.

Asked by: Irene

Can I replaced the whole spray/stream nozzle/head or any other nozzle that fit Trinsic Pull down kitchen faucet? I tried every way to clean it but the stream water comes out very weak :(

Our faucet is failing on inspection because hot water requires handle to push backwards. Ours is marked with red dot to pull forward. How can this be fixed?

Asked by: Murphyc
Hello Murphyc, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! Our Delta Kitchen Faucet models including 9159-DST allows for the handle to pull forward for hot water. The faucet can be installed backwards which will put the handle on the left side of the faucet and it will tilt out for cold then back for hot. Unfortunately customers may have an issue with the handle hitting the backsplash, I have included the technical specification sheet to show the handle operation. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-9159-DST%20Rev%20F.pdf Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Is there a way to get to the filter/screen in the spray head on the Trinsic? Water flow/pressure is minimal, and I suspect there is debris lodged in there. I have cleaned the aerator, holes, the entire head but to no avail.

Asked by: MCKP
Hi MCKP, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! The TRINSIC® MODEL#: 9159-DST wand assembly can be removed and soaked in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water to clean. It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the fully open middle position, and then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and repeat with the second line. Please reach out with further questions!
