Water pressure has become low at kitchen faucet. How do we take the sprayer apart to clean it?

Asked by: Cathy
Thank you for your question, Cathy! This Leland model included a cashe aerator wrench, part number RP50815 that is used to remove this aerator counterclockwise. It is designed to clip onto the Pex supply line below the counter but a pair of needle nose pliers may be carefully used in its place. We would also recommend removing the entire wand from the hose and spraying directly into the sink. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP50815 Best regards, Edward

I have the Delta Leland touch faucet 9178 TAR DST. Can it still work when the batteries go dead

Asked by: LID
Hi LID, Thank you for your question! The light will flash red when the batteries are low. You can remove the batteries while the water is running to switch to manual mode. You can also turn the faucet off with the handle, disconnect the solenoid, and connect the hose directly to the faucet to bypass the solenoid. Best regards, Jon

Asked by: Paula
Hi, Paula! Thank you for your question. The Delta 978-ARWE-DST requires two holes at the size of 1 5/16" - 1 1/2" (33mm-38 mm). Here is a link to the technical specifications sheet for this unit: https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/dsp-k-978-dst_G.pdf Best Regards, Rosanna

What is the difference between the 978-RB-DST, the 9978-RB-DST and the 978-RBWE-DST faucets? Also, can you get this type faucet with the 2.2 GPM wand?

Asked by: Confused
Thank you for your questions. Delta Faucet model # 978-RB-DST is a kitchen faucet that flows at 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. Delta Faucet model # 978-RBWE-DST is the same kitchen faucet as above but it flows at 1.5 gpm at 60 psi. Lastly, Delta Faucet model # 9978-RB-DST is the same faucet as the other two but in a smaller version for a bar/prep faucet. It flows at 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. We do not make a version of this faucet that will flow at 2.2 gpm at 60 psi.

I plan to replace my kitchen faucet with the Leland 9178-AR-DST. The 9178 spec sheet indicates that the temperature handle movement is from centerline of the body away from the sink. The Q&A seems to contradict this. Please clarify?

Asked by: TomA1
Hello TomA1, Thank you for your question. The handle of the Delta Leland Pull-down Kitchen 9178-AR-DST faucet operates by moving/pushing it away/outwards from the faucet to turn on the cold water. Rotating the handle towards the back to adjust for warm and hot water. Best regards, Tanya

Is Venetian Bronze still available? The photos look suspiciously like oil-rubbed bronze. We are replacing a faucet in our kitchen, and there are two sinks in close proximity. It will be obvious if the finishes are not the same.

Asked by: david524
Thank you for your question, david524! Delta model 978-RB-DST is only offered in Venetian Bronze which is a dark chocolate brown color with copper brushed highlights throughout. Oil Rubbed Bronze is a much darker, almost black finish with copper accents but without brushed marks. Best regards, Edward

Model 978-DST. Cannot remove the bonnet to replace the cartridge..Used suggested 1 5/16 socket. Cannot break it loose from the base. Some help please. Thanks.

Asked by: George
Hello, I apologize for the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help you. We recommend wrapping a cloth soaked in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water around the bonnet. This will help break up the mineral buildup in the threads. If additional assistance is required you may wish to contact a plumber. Please reach out with further questions! We have Frigidaire's Gallery series stainless steel appliances in our kitchen (Like this: https://www.frigidaire.com/Kitchen-Appliances/Refrigerators/French-Door-Refrigerator/FGHB2868TF/). Will the Arctic Stainless or Spotshield Stainless match better?

Asked by: agolin
Hi, agolin! Thank you for your question. Arctic Stainless is a brushed finish like Stainless Steel. Over the years, the color of stainless steel used on appliances and sinks has migrated from warmer tones, with more red in the color spectrum, to lighter tones where blue is more predominant. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, following a trend seen throughout the kitchen. Stainless Steel is has warmer tones, similar to brushed nickel. Best Regards, Rosanna

Difference in finishes

What is the difference between your arctic stainless finish and your stainless finish? Does one match stainless steel appliances better than the other?
Asked by: cagriffie
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet Artic Stainless finish has a bluish tint to it and does more closely resemble the stainless steel appliances that are out in the market today. Delta Faucet Stainless Steel finish has a more gold finish to it and is used in the bathroom to match the gold toned finishes there.

Is this model the exact same where ever it is purchased?

My plumber installed this model 9178-Chrome-DST and charged me $769 for the faucet set, soap dispenser, and installation. When I told him the set was $200 on Amazon with free Prime shipping and so I thought the additional $569 was a bit high for installation his reply was that the quality of his Delta faucet was much better than what I could buy online, because he is a plumber. Is this true? Isn't a Model 9178 Chrome DST the same wherever it is bought??
Asked by: Theresa B
Dear Theresa B, Thank you for your question. We appreciate your interest in Delta faucets. All Delta faucets feature the same quality parts, materials, and workmanship, no matter what kind of dealer sells them. Delta retail dealers usually sell faucets that include the handles in the boxes. Plumbing professionals and Delta Studio Showrooms sell faucets where the faucets and handles are packaged and sold separately ("LHP" models), giving the customer some additional styling choices. However, the quality of all Delta faucets is the same. Best regards, Tanya

I have questions about the Delta Leland kitchen faucet. First, what is the difference between arctic stainless and spot shield stainless? Which one is more likely to match the color of a basic stainless sink?  Does the handle move forward and backward?

Asked by: mello
Hi, Mello! Thank you for your question. Arctic Stainless is a brushed finish like Stainless Steel. Over the years, the color of stainless steel used on appliances and sinks has migrated from warmer tones, with more red in the color spectrum, to lighter tones where blue is more predominant. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, following a trend seen throughout the kitchen. faucet handle spins all the way around

I attempted to adjust this faucet handle as it was causing the faucet to leak somewhat. when i removed the set screw holding the faucet on and then retightened the scew the faucet handle now feels loose and spins 360 degrees. im looking to get this repaired but im not sure if i need a new handle or if it is the cartridge the handle goes onto that needs to be replaced.
Asked by: jasimek
Hi jasimek, Thank you for your question. It sounds like either the set screw is not tight enough, or the screw is not in contact with the stem portion of the dst cartridge. Make sure the cartridge is seated properly, and that the bonnet and sleeve assembly are tightened correctly. The handle set screw should attach to the cartridge stem on the flat portion of the stem preventing the handle from spinning. I have attached a link to the parts breakdown for the model 978-DST to help you with your repair.
