Perfect Faucet
The faucet's design allow plenty of space for large pots. I like the handle on the side. I don't drip water everywhere when I turn the water off like my other one. The sprayer is small and not cumbersome to use. Very happy with my new faucet.

Faulty Valve
This faucet looks good and performs well, except it's extremely difficult to close completely. The reviews I read mentioned that and it certainly is true. I think Delta needs to fix this.

Beautiful design and features
We have had this faucet for a month. It was easy to install, but even better is the beautiful design, “splashless” and forceful spray, and truly stainless and spotless finish. Couldn’t be happier! Highly recommended.

Attractive and So Functional
We bought this as part of a kitchen re-do. It goes so well with our dark stainless steel appliances and brushed nickel door hardware.
We love the variety of streams / sprays available. Being able to use the head as a hand sprayer is very convenient. And the ease of regulating the water flow fate proves very handy.

Quality product
I purchased this a little while ago for a counter and sink remodel. I spent quite a bit of time sorting through reviews and finally came back to Delta. I’ve had Delta products exclusively in my home for 28 years and they have stood behind every faucet I own. This faucet has great extension for our oversized sink, and the pressures are spot on for filling pots, rinsing loose food and the spot high pressure jet with the spray shield works really well too. Installation keeps getting easier, I literally installed this in less than 10 minutes. No leaks and well thought out. I passed on several “commercial” style units because they look good when they aren’t in use, but lack in many areas during use. I’m picky on a focal piece of plumbing and I am happy to say this has met all my needs and expectations.

Q&A
I see where you have answered the question about the difference between Model 9178 and 9678. What is the difference between those and Model 19978?
Hello Kathy 61,
Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. However, the 9178-AR-DST is designed with the ShieldSpray feature and the 19978-SS-DST model is not.

Tanya

What is the tubing for the pull-out spray made of? I am concerned about the materials as the drinking water is now being consumed from this spray.
Hello jdog,
Thank you for your question. The hose assembly of the Delta Leland Pull-down Kitchen 9178-AR-DST faucet is made out of woven nylon and has an Ultracore inner lining. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need.
Best regards,
Tanya

Does arctic stainless water spot?
Hi, Melody!
Thank you for your question. The 9178-AR-DST Arctic Stainless will show water spots. We recommend to wipe clean with a soft towel. If you should need something stronger, we recommend 50% white vinegar and 50% water solution to clean.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

Is there a method to keep the Leland faucet centered on the plate provided to cover the extra sink holes? Mine keeps sliding all over the place leaving a gaping grin were it fits onto the cover plate.
Hi, Mr Streck 88yrs!
Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta 9178-AR-DST faucet. We recommend to tighten the mounting nut for the faucet, under the sink to secure. You may also use a bit of silicon sealant around the plate at the sink base to secure the plate.
Best Regards,
Rosanna

what is the height of the faucet, measuring from granite countertop (no plate) to highest point?
Hi Bill,
Thank you for your question! The faucet is 14 7/8" from the deck to the top of the spout. Please refer to the Technical Specifications under the Product Support tab for more information.
Best regards,
Jon

ARe these made of metal or plastic?
Cannot locate what the material is of the faucet. Ordered it, delivered today. Shock that it is plastic and not metal.
Hi JB,
Thank you for your question. The handle assembly is metal.

Jon

Any recommendations for cleaning the hose of the pull down sprayer on model #9178 AR-DST
Hello Dave,
Thanks for your question!
You can clean any of the parts on your Delta kitchen faucet with a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.
I hope this helps!
Best Regards,
Justin

Can the Valve Assembly Cartridge be changed to allow the Handle to be vertical?
Hi, Bill K!
Thank you for your question. The Delta 9178-AR-DST Faucet valve cartridge assembly cannot be repositioned for the handle to be vertical. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Best Regards,
Rosanna
