Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shieldspray sucks This is the second Delta faucet I have purchased in the last month. I bought a Delta Leland faucet 6 years ago when I did a kitchen remodel. That faucet was awesome. The shieldspray is terrible. I won’t buy another faucet ever again with shield spray. The old version was way better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a beauty I needed a new faucet due to my previous one leaking. I am very happy that I bought this Delta. However, I am disappointed that the head does not swivel. Yes, when you disengage the head you can move it around. But, otherwise it does not move.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the price Much larger and sturdier than it looks in the picture. Rotates with the touch of a finger. Control is easy to adjust to the exact temperature you are looking for. Easily installs in one hour. The magnetic docking is so simple it is brilliant! The faucet it replaced had a rubber gasket to hold the handle in place which never worked properly. Only thing that I would criticize is the length of the hoses - too long - but better than too short.

I see where you have answered the question about the difference between Model 9178 and 9678. What is the difference between those and Model 19978?

Asked by: Kathy61
Hello Kathy 61, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. However, the 9178-AR-DST is designed with the ShieldSpray feature and the 19978-SS-DST model is not. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-19978-SD-DST%20Rev%20C.pdf Best regards, Tanya

We are having a problem with the handle not returning to the full off position. It didn't do this when we first installed it. Now we have to carefully wiggle it back and forth to make sure it is fully off. Is there a way to take apart the main valve?

Asked by: Gayle
Hello, Gayle. Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. We recommend to clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Unscrew the bonnet nut counterclockwise. Pull the valve cartridge out and clean the bottom puck on the valve cartridge assembly. Reinstall the valve cartridge assembly and retighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the faucet still leaks, we recommend to replace both the valve cartridge assembly, RP50587, and the bonnet nut, RP51503. Best Regards, Rosanna

Hello - I have a Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with ShieldSpray® Technology Leland® - Model#: 9178-AR-DST. Can this be mounted so the handle is facing the front versus a side mount so that the handle is over the sink? Thanks

Asked by: Jane
Hello Jane, Thank you for your question. We recommend installing the Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 9178-AR-DST faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on the front or left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You can compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button will no longer indicate the correct temperature. Best regards, Tanya

fawcet is leaking do you have repair kit

Asked by: tttt
Hi, tttt! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing a leak from your Delta faucet. There is a bonnet nut that is holding the cartridge down, underneath your handle. We recommend to tighten the bonnet nut to stop the leak. To do this, turn the water off at your shut off valve. Remove the handle. Pull the cartridge out to clean the bottom puck of the cartridge. Reinstall the cartridge assembly. Tighten the bonnet by turning clockwise, to the right. Install the handle back on and turn the water back on. Test the faucet. If the faucet still leaks, we recommend to replace both the valve cartridge assembly, RP50587, and the bonnet nut, RP51503.
