Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Like Products Used To Be Made By Companies We had a similar type kitchen faucet installed a few years ago during a kitchen remodel. Not a good experience with what I thought was a good product by a good company. How can I put this? Leaks and valve problems probably 18 months in that continued until I gave up on it. At my age I want a rugged heavy duty faucet that gets the job done. This is not a prissy faucet. It is a rugged, well made product that flows water at a very good pressure, in all modes. So far so good. If you want a well made faucet that does what you bought it for this is the one and it looks good at your sink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, Love, Love This Faucet! We did a lot of research on water flow because our other faucet by another company (that we bought just for looks in 2008) was horrible. We had always bought Delta faucets. We have never had a problem with Delta faucets, their customer service, warranty department, and products. So after researching all they had out there in pull down chrome faucets, we bought this one. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! We are in our 50's so we miss the no regulation water flow. But with the restrictions, this one has plenty of flow. We highly recommend it. The shield spray feature still spritzes, so we don't think we will use that. If we need a stream that hard we will just use a sponge to get the food off the plate. But other people may love it. But the regular flow and spray are great which is what we were looking for. Plus the style is so nice. Handle is beautiful and easy to use. No little stick on the side like on others to turn the water on and off. The Magna Tite feature is amazing. Holds it in place. With a little turn the strong magnets depolarize and the spray pulls down with ease. Thank you Delta for continuing to make great products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice faucet I had this installed a couple of weeks ago to replace my old kitchen faucet. I loved the style of my old one (Victorian) but it kept having to be repaired. I researched new kitchen faucets and this was one of the top ones. I like the pull down sprayer. It is easy to use and clicks back into place securely. You do have to jiggle the faucet a bit to get the excess water out of the neck after using the sprayer, otherwise the faucet drips. The finish is pretty (arctic stainless) but I need to keep it wiped dry to prevent spotting. If it does have water dry on it, the spotting cleans up easily. The only problem I have is getting used to the handle. There is not much leeway between the hot and cold settings and getting it to come out "warm" is a little tricky. I'm sure it's just a matter of getting used to it. Also, having the handle on the side of the base of the faucet, you are pushing the it to the right to turn it on and pushing it left (to the vertical position) to turn it off. For 30 years I have had a faucet handle that goes up and down - not side to side. I find myself wanting to pull it forward to turn it off. Again, something I just have to adjust to. The big advertised feature of this faucet is the Shield Spray, but I haven't had a reason to use it yet. It works fine, I just don't seem to need it. I'm hoping that this faucet will last me for years to come and not need to have a drip fixed every couple of years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Aerator water pressure issues. I bought this on Amazon late Sept 2018 based on reviews. It was installed early October. In just six months, I'm facing aerator issues. Water pressure both cold and hot drop significantly at times. On disconnecting the faucet head from the wand hose I get full water pressure. I've used the aerator wrench and removed the aerator several times to wash and replace it. There wasn't much particulate matter so I find it odd that water pressure drops so much. The head assembly is not user serviceable though it has 3 spray mechanisms built in.

I plan to replace my kitchen faucet with the Leland 9178-AR-DST. The 9178 spec sheet indicates that the temperature handle movement is from centerline of the body away from the sink. The Q&A seems to contradict this. Please clarify?

Asked by: TomA1
Hello TomA1, Thank you for your question. The handle of the Delta Leland Pull-down Kitchen 9178-AR-DST faucet operates by moving/pushing it away/outwards from the faucet to turn on the cold water. Rotating the handle towards the back to adjust for warm and hot water. Best regards, Tanya

We have Frigidaire's Gallery series stainless steel appliances in our kitchen (Like this: https://www.frigidaire.com/Kitchen-Appliances/Refrigerators/French-Door-Refrigerator/FGHB2868TF/). Will the Arctic Stainless or Spotshield Stainless match better?

Asked by: agolin
Hi, agolin! Thank you for your question. Arctic Stainless is a brushed finish like Stainless Steel. Over the years, the color of stainless steel used on appliances and sinks has migrated from warmer tones, with more red in the color spectrum, to lighter tones where blue is more predominant. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones, following a trend seen throughout the kitchen. Stainless Steel is has warmer tones, similar to brushed nickel. Best Regards, Rosanna

Hi. A new water meter was just installed at my home and I've lost prssure in my kitchen faucet. The City said I need to remove the aerator and rinse it, but I can't see how to remove that. The pressure is low on all three of the settings. Can you help me?

Asked by: Maritxu
Hi, Maritxu! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9178-SP-DST faucet sprayer aerator assembly can be removed with an aerator wrench. The aerator wrench kit is part number RP50815. Here is a link to the part: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP50815 Best Regards, Rosanna

When searching this model on the online sites they do not indicate the sprayshield technology - when was it introduced on this model and how do ensure I get one with this feature if I place an order with them?  Thanks

Asked by: Cloogs
Hello, Cloogs. Thank you for your question! The ShieldSpray version began shipping in December of 2017. Please check with the vendor to ensure that they are offering the version with ShieldSpray. The product description should indicate if the faucet will have this feature. Best regards, Jon

what is the purpose of the red plastic slide switch at the top of the valve assembly?

Asked by: jerry
Hi, Jerry! Thank you for your question. The switch on the valve assembly is a handle limit stop. Position 1, to the left, allows full handle motion (the full range between “all cold” to “all hot”). The faucet is set in position 1 in the factory. Position 2, to the right, allows half of the normal handle motion (“all cold” to “mixed hot/cold”). The handle limit stop can be adjusted by the homeowner once the faucet is installed. Setting the handle limit stop in position 2 may help to prevent scalding because it limits the amount of hot water in the mix; however, this handle limit stop will not always prevent scalding because it does not compensate for incoming pressure or sudden water temperature changes. To change positions of the handle limit stop: remove the handle; move the valve stem to the all cold position so the water is on; change the position of the handle limit stop; turn off the water; reinstall the handle. Best Regards, Rosanna
