I found it much easier to install than I expected and it looks fantastic! To top it off, the pull down head I received was the wrong finish for the faucet, but Deltas customer service sent me a new one to match in record time. I couldn't be happier with the purchase and entire experience!

We have used this particular faucet style in many of our projects but this was the first time we had used this model with the touch feature. We installed the product a few days ago and it has been a hit. The subcontractors on the job were so impressed with how easy it was to use they all said they would like one for their house. Most importantly the clients love the functionality and the finish is the superb quality we expect from Delta. I will buy it again!

We are still in the construction phase, but needed to go ahead and purchase a faucet and this one is perfect. It's exactly what I have been looking for, and the price was great. I cannot wait to use it. It was well packaged, ordered it about 7pm one night, and it was shipped and arrived to my home within one day. I was surprised how fast the shipping was. The faucet is stylish, beautiful color; not just a typical stainless steel, and seems to be very good quality materials as it is pretty heavy. We are beyond pleased with this purchase and will continue to buy from build.com.

For some reason now it turns on immediately, but turning off is delayed. By reading some reviews see there is software. Is there anything I should follow to upgrade the software or a sequence to restore the faucet to original on and off touch mode. Still loving it just need a little help.

Unfortunately, it no longer functions properly. We changed the battery pack and it worked well for a day or two but then stopped working. Again, I replaced the batteries and the unit does not work. I watched your installation movie and it appears that our plumber installed the unit correctly. Please let me know what I need to try to try to have the unit function properly. Your assistance will be appreciated. Chuck

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Concept When we installed the faucet it didn't work. The water flow was a trickle only to be exceeded by the dripping when you turned it off using the touch feature. Needless to say I was disappointed. After calling Customer Service (which was excellent) a new solenoid was shipped. A week later I had the part and we installed it. It fixed the problem. I love the touch on and off feature. It's wonderful. The water flow still seems on the slower side to me compared to other faucets. Checking the water pressure to the faucet was one of the first things we did and that was good. I guess it's just something to get used to. I rated the faucet as Good and not Excellent because it's design is nothing exceptional but it is good quality and not excellent because I had to replace a part immediately. Performance, slow water flow. I would buy another Delta faucet because of the outstanding customer service. I just hope I don't have to call upon them too often.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We love the touch technology but... We have had nothing but issues with this faucet since installing in February of this year. At first it kept turning on and off by itself and the light didn't work consistently. After two follow up visits from the plumbers it was determined the faucet needed to be replaced. After replacing it appeared the issues were corrected. However, this week it started turning on again by itself and the blue light, that indicates the water is cold, is no longer working at all. I have referred the issue to my builder but at this point I am thinking I may need another replacement faucet or a completely different faucet altogether.

After dismantle the old faucet to prepare for the instal we were excited to have a new faucet in place. Everything worked fine for about 2 minutes then the light stopped working, the touch still works but one of the main features is defective. Now I'm stuck, I can't just tear it out and return because I bought it online. My bad, I expected it to work.....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice design, faulty electronics I realize we are in a world of electronics but here is my experience. We had our kitchen redone and this faucet installed as part of that three months ago. We love the faucet, its design and function. What happened two weeks ago was that the base LED started just displaying red only and would flicker out when going to cold. I called Delta and talked to a wonderful person who was very helpful, who diagnosed that the LED base went bad. He sent me a new base unit and the solenoid unit (at no charge) as he said there was a more recent software version. Yes, even our faucets get software updates. I am working with my original kitchen designer to see if they will come out to replace this for me so I can't say at this point if the issue is resolved. Just reporting where we are as of receiving an email to provide a rating today, 7-14-16.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall good but have had issues. Delta rep just left after replacing defective solenoid for the 2nd time in 9 months. Appreciate the warranty, but the 2nd solenoid failed and faucet was inoperable until I had to wrestle with bypassing the solenoid when we had house guests. The solenoid just installed only lights the LED indicator on hot water (red). The magenta light does not come on at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look and use of faucet not convinced on the touch I bough this over a month ago and wanted to give the chance for the touch feature to warrant itself. I am not sold on the feature yet. It is nice when you are washing dishes. It is trouble some for those one time uses when you want a cold glass of water the faucet will be set to warm so you move it to cold and it shuts off so you have to double tap the faucet. Not the end of the world. Also troublesome when you pull the faucet out to spray something and when you return the faucet it shuts off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice, not sold on worth the cost I would have rated this faucet at 5 stars when it was new, but 6 months later I just can't do it. The batteries only last a few months, then no water until replaced or disconnect the touch. The switch from stream to spray doesn't engage fully. So when we have it in spray mode, there is a constant, slight stream in the middle of the spray. We chose this faucet as part of a 75K kitchen remodel and we deliberately used high quality components throughout. We thought this would fit right in and last a very long time. When it works, it's great. My wife loves the touch functionality. But replacing batteries and fiddling with the spray switch constantly have soured me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great faucet, great customer service This is a great faucet. The design/style is nice, and the function is fantastic. My family loves the touch feature; we've had it installed for about two months and we're not sure how we ever lived without it. It was definitely worth the extra $ for Touch 20. I did have an issue after installation: most of the time touching the faucet would not turn it of. The faucet responded, I would hear a click and the light would turn off, but water kept running. I called Delta the next day. I got straight through to a US based representative and in about 5 minutes had a new touch module in the mail. It was a great experience.

When I purchased the faucet by phone, I spoke to the salesperson and they told me that this touch feature was really useful so I went ahead and purchased it. Boy was I wrong. The touch feature comes in really handy especially when washing dishes because I can turn off the water when I am scrubbing and turn it on again to the same temperature by just a touch. I also found the temperature light on the faucet really helpful. Good product. thanks guys

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Close but fell short We love our new faucet and the touch feature but it has a mind of its own. I should have read more reviews before buying this. The faucet turns on by itself at random times and shuts off while you are using it which gets annoying. It will be fine for a day or two then act up again. I've checked all the wiring and followed all the troubleshooting and seems to have gotten a little better but still too sensitive or maybe I have a ghost that likes to play pranks. Cool tech but if had to buy again would go with the standard model

It has an easy switch between spray and stream. We are happy with the choice. After a few months it developed a drip on the side when in stream mode. I reported this to Delta and they sent a replacement.

I love our new Delta Touch faucet and we are impressed with this new touch technology Butttttt the batter usage is scary. Six AA batteries did not last more than two weeks of minimal use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this touch faucet! We remodeled our kitchen and when shopping for a new kitchen faucet the salesman recommended this one to us instead of a much more expensive model. We had our contractor install it for us and we love it! It is great when your hands have poultry on them or mixing meatloaf and you don't want to touch a handle with your hands. Love the 4 minute shut off also! It has been easy to clean too! The only issue we have had is if you reach behind the faucet and accidentally tap it the water will start and sometimes your arm is right under it!

Will the faucet still work if the owner goes out?? We have ours hard-wired and don&rsquo;t use the battery pack.&nbsp;

Hello Jill, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Touch2O Kitchen 9178T-SP-DST faucet is designed to only activate when touched. We recommend to turn the handle to the off position if leaving on vacation or for an extended period of time, but you can leave it on/open for day-to-day use. Best regards, Tanya

The touch on works with battery but it won't work with A.C. power supply. Why?

We recently installed this faucet in a condominium. When the neighbors use their cold faucets, hot water crosses through our clients 9178T-SP-DST and hot water comes out the neighbors faucets.

How do I dis-assemble the spray head?

Hi, Tom1! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9178T-SP-DST Faucet sprayer assembly can be dis assembled by first unscrewing the sprayer from the hose assembly at the connection. The aerator assembly at the face of the sprayer can be unscrewed with the RP50815 Aerator Wrench. I have 15 1/4&quot; from my counter to a a shelf above my sink. Is there a pipe attached to the faucet making it impossible to fit the faucet in the counter opening?

The 9178T-SP-DST faucet does have a spout shank and PEX lines that do have to be installed above the sink so the lines and spout shank can fit through the hole of the sink.
