If my hands are covered with bread dough, by just touching the faucet, I can wash my hands and keep the faucet clean. I can tap the faucet off while I lather and scrub my hands for the recommended 20 seconds so I'm not wasting water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice addition We replaced counter tops and sink. I'm glad we chose this faucet! Looks great, allows you to easily turn off and on the water with a touch. I find we use a lot less water now. I did notice that it takes quite a while to reach max temp on hot water for the temp light to turn red. I had to turn up the water heater to 125 to reach 115 at the faucet?

It's gorgeous, the touch feature is so convenient and now with this crazy Corona virus I feel even better about everybody not touching the handle. The back of your hands or arm and it's on. Love the lighted temp LED light in the front. Love the auto shut after 2 minutes. I'm a 55 year old woman and I installed it myself. Save a couple hundred bucks I'm sure. It's not for everybody but the Delta You Tube video was a huge help. If I have any complaint it is the box that holds the batteries. It just feels cheap.

I use this feature all the time washing dishes. I do wish it wouldn't happen when I touch the handle though--sometimes when I try to turn the faucet on, the feature triggers and it doesn't turn on. I like the spray shield feature, it seems to work well, though I haven't used it as much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for us We love this Delta faucet. All of our faucets have been Delta so we wanted another Delta for our kitchen remodel. We especially love the temperature indicator light in the base which changes color. In the mornings it takes a while for warm water to reach our kitchen as it is some distance from the hot water heater in the basement. In the past we would run some water and test with our hands. Now we just wait for the light to go from blue to red. May seem like a simple thing, but we really like it. And, best of all is the touch feature to turn on/off. When doing a lot of dishes after a big meal, this is a big help. Otherwise it looks great and we like the high neck. I had read a negative review stating the magnet wasn't strong enough to keep the nozzle in the neck when not pulled down. Not the case for us, the magnet is plenty strong enough. We love this faucet and highly recommend.

They sent the part at no charge. I installed and it's back like new. They have good videos on troubleshooting.

This is also one of the few models that have more color choices and this definitely match my existing fixtures.

We had had a motion activated one at our other home, which we loved, but if a fly flew over it just right it would turn on and waste water. I thought the touch would solve that issue, which it has. My issue is with the spray shield. It doesn’t seem to work like it shows. It also only runs for a short time and then it cuts off just as the water is getting warm. I wish you could adjust how long the water ran before turning off.

I bought this in December 2019 by the end of Jan 2020 it needed a new cartridge .I called them up and in about a week it came .I installed it and it works 200% better .I now do not have to look for that sweet spot in order for faucet not to leak or turn on and off repeativly until it finally would stop dripping. This was a replacement for a Moen and I like this a lot better easy to install.

It has work off and on over the first few weeks then I had to resort to disconnecting the batteries and reconnecting to get it to work. Now we just use the lever the touch feature has died. Tried contacting service but couldn't get anyone to pick up. So I sent emails still wait for a response to them.................... been weeks. Should have bought a Moen

It was exactly what I was looking for in the kitchen, no more germ covered hands on the faucet and it was working great for the first two months. Then it started shutting off randomly. We replaced the batteries as needed and even with brand new batteries we are still having the issues. Turn the faucet on and it shuts right off. In the middle of washing a dish and the hot water shuts off. Washing your hands and the water turns off. VERY frustrating. Getting ready to disconnect the touch feature and just use it as a normal faucet...a very pricey normal faucet!!!!

Never have to turn the water on with messy hands, just touch faucet with your wrist or back of you hand. However, after being in our new house for less than a year, the touch feature stopped working out of nowhere;the solinoid had to be replaced. I spoke with Delta customer service and was sent the replacement part within a few days. Very easy fix, but and worried how long this one will last.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flaky features I really wanted to love this faucet, but it's had a lot of trouble. It looks great and the water pressure and touch-function is fine. It does seem to burn through batteries quickly, but I can live with that. I had it professionally installed, but after a few months the LED stopped working when the water was cold. Then a few weeks later it stopped when it was hot. I talked to Delta and we tried to troubleshoot it, but ultimately Delta replaced the solenoid. That unfortunately meant completely uninstalling the faucet, which I paid a plumber to do...again. A few months later the LED stopped working for cold water again. I decided to ignore it since it still warns when it's hot. But now the faucet takes forever to change temperature. I'll push the lever from cold to hot, and then need to pull it back and press it to hot a few times to get the temperature to change.

Will the faucet still work if the owner goes out?? We have ours hard-wired and don&rsquo;t use the battery pack.&nbsp;

Hello Jill, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Touch2O Kitchen 9178T-SP-DST faucet is designed to only activate when touched. We recommend to turn the handle to the off position if leaving on vacation or for an extended period of time, but you can leave it on/open for day-to-day use. Best regards, Tanya

The touch on works with battery but it won't work with A.C. power supply. Why?

Hello Spectrum, Thank you for your question. We actually recommend you leave the batteries in the battery box while using the AC power adapter. It is recommended to keep it plug up due to the fact, if there is not enough power it will not work. Best regards, Tanya

We recently installed this faucet in a condominium. When the neighbors use their cold faucets, hot water crosses through our clients 9178T-SP-DST and hot water comes out the neighbors faucets.

How do I dis-assemble the spray head?

Hi, Tom1! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9178T-SP-DST Faucet sprayer assembly can be dis assembled by first unscrewing the sprayer from the hose assembly at the connection. The aerator assembly at the face of the sprayer can be unscrewed with the RP50815 Aerator Wrench. I have 15 1/4&quot; from my counter to a a shelf above my sink. Is there a pipe attached to the faucet making it impossible to fit the faucet in the counter opening?

The 9178T-SP-DST faucet does have a spout shank and PEX lines that do have to be installed above the sink so the lines and spout shank can fit through the hole of the sink.
