PRODUCT FEATURES
Touch it on. Touch it off. Whether you have two full hands or 10 messy fingers, Delta® Touch2O® Technology helps keep your faucet clean, even when your hands aren’t. A simple touch anywhere on the spout or handle with your wrist or forearm activates the flow of water at the temperature where your handle is set. The TempSense™ LED light changes color to alert you to the water’s temperature and eliminate any possible surprises or discomfort. MagnaTite® Docking uses a powerful integrated magnet to pull your faucet spray wand precisely into place and hold it there so it stays docked when not in use. Delta® ShieldSpray® Technology cleans with laser-like precision while containing mess and splatter. A concentrated jet powers away stubborn messes while an innovative shield of water contains splatter and clears off the mess, so you can spend less time soaking, scrubbing and shirt swapping. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unacceptably poor water flow. Purchased 10/23. Started well but flow at the nozzle is barely more than a trickle now. I’ve cleaned and soaked the filter and nozzle head in a vinegar solution countless times but the flow just continues to decrease. It’s now unacceptable as a functional kitchen faucet. I’m in the market for a replacement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Faucet dead when batteries die Could not believe my faucet would not work when batteries died!! I have wanted a touch to activate faucet for so long (I hate trying to turn on the faucet when I have raw meat on my hands). I was so excited after installing this, which, by the way, was pretty easy. Then to have it not work after only 2 months because the batteries died!! During my husband's birthday party! I was scrambling g to find more AA's wherever I could find them, and after only a month I cannot use my sink AGAIN. I am going to try the C batteries and fingers crossed it will last more than 2 months. I will repost if it does work, Delta needs to make this known

Q&A

I just purchased this faucet and had it professionally installed by a plumber. There is a small dripping leak at the handle. What can I do to fix this?

Asked by: Leak at the handle
Hello Leak at the handle, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry this information was not readily available, and I am happy to help you! Our Delta Faucet LELAND® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies MODEL#: 9178T-RB-DST leak when off you are experiencing appears to be caused by debris within the solenoid assembly. We recommend doing a flush on your electronic components. Please follow the below steps to resolve your drip: 1. Put the handle in the off position. 2. Remove the blue clip that is attached to the top of the solenoid assembly below the sink. 3. Pull the solenoid off of the faucet connection. Remove the debris screen in the top connection if able and clear any debris with tweezers or a q-tip. 4. Set a bucket under the pex supply line that is exposed. 5. Place the handle in the on position and allow it to run water for 2 full minutes. This will clear the supply line out of any debris. 6. Put the handle back into the off position. 7. Reconnect the solenoid to the faucet and clip it back into place. 8. Now remove the bottom clip from the solenoid where the hose connects and pull the hose off. 9. Turn the water back on for an additional 2 minutes to clear the solenoid assembly of any remaining debris. 10. Reconnect the hose and clip it into place again. Once that is finished, turn the water on to the faucet and run it for 15 seconds. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

I just installed this Leland Touch 2.0 faucet. It is working great except for the temp indicator led. It appears to be off when standing at the sink. If at eye level, the light can be seen but very faint. Is there a remedy for this?

Asked by: Jason

I installed a Delta 9178T-SP-DST faucet about 2 weeks ago. The faucet is working properly but has developed a squeak. This occurs when the faucet is turned off. I suppose it's the solenoid valve making the noise. Is this a problem?

I've heard some complaints about the reliability of the Touch2O, so I'm wondering if there is a way to disable Touch2O and just use it like a standard sink. I skimmed through the manual, but didn't notice a way to disable Touch2O.

Asked by: james123
Hello james123, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! I am sorry this information was not readily available for our Delta Faucet Leland® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies In Arctic Stainless MODEL#: 9178T-AR-DST, and I am happy to help you! The touch function will work properly as long as the installation steps are followed, and the faucet is isolated properly. If there is any inconsistent operation then we would need to take a look at the installation, Delta Faucet does have a lifetime limited warranty on the faucet and a 5-year warranty on the electronics. If you still decide to remove the solenoid and change the faucet to a manual unit, please see the directions below. The easiest way to make our Delta touch models manual is to remove the battery box from the solenoid while the water is running. There are a couple more ways we can advise to make them manual, If the faucet is a later generation, the solenoid assembly may be removed, and the wand hose connected directly to the valve outlet tube. Lastly, If the solenoid Generation 1 or 2, and operational enough, we can directly energize it open. These directions are in the M&Is, using the battery pack to reverse the power to the solenoid momentarily. This is the least preferred method. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Hi, I have this model Model#: 9178T-DST. There is a shield metal filter inside the aerator that broke. It usually clogged and water flow significantly lowers in pressure. I used to clean to remove the sediments/heavy every few months. Need part replaced.

The water just dribbles out. There is correct pressure at the dishwasher using the same water line. I removed the sprayer and the pressure is very low. I think the solenoid is the problem. How should I proceed?

Asked by: Steve
Hi Steve, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9178TL-CZ-DST. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing with reduced flow. We are happy to help! I recommend removing and cleaning the filter in the top of the solenoid. When the hose is disconnected, it can be removed with tweezers or pliers. Use a bucket to flush the faucet under the sink with the solenoid removed. If the issue remains, the solenoid may need to be replaced. Our 9178T-AR-DST Delta faucet turns on by itself. We tried changing the batteries and it continues to turn on when nobody is around it.

Asked by: Lori
Hello Lori, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! A Delta Faucet with Touch2O turning on without being touched would be an issue of electrically isolating the faucet. We recommend placing the battery box on the floor, away from any walls. Keep the wires away from any other wires and away from metal as much as possible. Check that the faucet mounting shank is not touching the edge of the sink. Try moving the clip down the mounting shank and pointing it away from the sink. Please reach out directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Best regards, Bryan
