Rated 3 out of 5 by from One serious flaw This faucet was part of a total kitchen remodel. Almost immediately the water flow rate fell off to a near trickle. Cleaning the head restored the flow rate but it again quickly slowed to a trickle. Now we have to remove it and clean it twice a week or more. I know it's the head because we can remove it and get great flow from just the hose. Very disappointed Delta. I can get a Moan that won't clog up for a fraction of the price. And YES! The house has a whole house filtration system.

I love that it is touch activated but it is a little sensitive and sometimes it turns off by mistake. The only thing I would change is water pressure is much softer than my old one.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked really nice for 60 Days Took a chance and bought this very expensive faucet about 90 days ago even though I read some of the customer reviews where people were complaining about the faucet turning on and off randomly when it was turned off. Initially I didn't have any issues but this particular problem started after about 60 days and I thought maybe I needed to change the batteries in the cabinet below but that didn't help one bit. I regret getting this because I feel it will turn on in the middle of the night or when I'm not home. So far I've gotten no answers from Delta but would appreciate some help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied, thus far! After doing extensive research on a replacement kitchen faucet, I decided on this one from Delta. Initially, I was looking into a touch-free faucet which cost about $100 more, but decided against this after reading customer reviews that if the power went out the faucet would not operate. So, I decided to go with the Delta '9178T-AR-DST Touch2O' based on Delta's reputation, the faucet's features including the magnetic docking faucet head, diamond water seal, and touch on/off control. Before making my purchase, I also read many reviews from other buyers of this faucet to get their feedback on their experiences and any recommendations they shared. Three very helpful suggestions were to zip-tie the coupling clips to ensure they would not unintentionally pop off. Also, the use of an outer hose to fit over the faucet water line prior to flushing the faucet which would give better control of catching the rinse water into a bucket outside of the sink cabinet to keep it dry. Finally, purchasing the optional plug-in power supply adapter was recommended by several buyers who said that it made the responsiveness of the "touch on/off" feature of the faucet more consistently reliable without the need to fumble with replacing batteries. All these suggestions were quite helpful for me. As for the operation of the faucet that I installed about a month ago, I am very satisfied! The instruction manual and on-line Delta manufacturer's video helped prepare me for a straight-forward and clean installation. All of the faucet's features are working as advertised and expected. The weakest feature that I have experienced is the "shield spray" which is both weaker in operation than I would have preferred and must be held very close to whatever I am spraying to avoid splashing; otherwise, "shield spray" doesn't reduce splashing much more than the other operating spray functions do. I also wish that the plug-in solenoid power adapter was included with the faucet when you buy it rather than the battery pack feature as a matter of convenience, but I understand that not all purchasers of this faucet necessarily have an electric outlet located under their sink as I do and that the battery pack is their only option. Finally, the tubular specialty wrench that is included to secure the faucet to the counter top is a true blessing to have and made the 'trickiest' part of my installation so much easier. Time will tell whether or not the "Leland Touch2O" I purchased will live up to Delta's promises. At this point, I feel as though the quality of the product and its components will stand the test of time. Should I need future warranty assistance, I trust that Delta's customer service representatives and Delta will stand behind this product.

Its only flaw is inconsistency in the touch feature. Most of the time it works as designed, but sometimes the touch feature does not respond, and other times it's way too sensitive. All members of our family have the same experience. At first I considered exchanging the faucet; but overall I like it well enough to put up with this one weakness.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not What Was Expected We bought this faucet a month ago and unfortunately the shield spray feature that we paid about $100.00 extra for is simply not what is advertised or promoted. First, the water pressure with the entire faucet is much weaker than our previous faucet which makes it hard to wash food away. Because of that, the shield spray feature doesn't actually provide additional assistance to actually wash food away. Additionally, the 'shield' on the shield spray doesn't form a large circle as advertised. It may be a defect in our faucet but it still causes spraying.

This is a great product and works beyond my expectations. I did have a issue with a solenoid and Delta sent a replacement out without question. Unbelievable customer service, I identify the problem and have the replacement parts here within days.

The sprayer head does not turn it on or off, which is wonderful. I got the spotless version and it is! I have been using it for a couple of weeks and I have not had to "clean" it or wipe it down for prints or water stains and we have hard water. I would highly recommend this faucet. We bought the cord separately to plug it in to the outlet instead of thinking about replacing batteries. We had the electrician add more outlets under the sink to be able to use it this way.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LED issue Our 9178T-DST was installed in November 2015 by a plumber as part of a kitchen remodel. We continue to have issues with the LED light feature. The same plumber replaced a part under warranty within the first year and said he was told that part (the ring with the indicator light, I believe) is not to get wet?? LED feature worked for a short bit and has been out since. New batteries have not solved it. Wire is not loose so I believe connection is good. The LED was a factor in buying this faucet but has been disappointing. Please advise.

With small children it is a disaster because the temp is so hard to control. Seems that the water is always either too cold or scalding hot. I replaced the faucet and the same problem remained. Even though Delta replaced for free, the plumber cost several hundred dollars. Twice. Skip this faucet!!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sporadic Functionality We had this faucet installed in April as part of a full kitchen renovation. For the first 6 weeks or so, it worked phenomenally. I loved the ease of leaving the physical faucet lever to the "on" position and using the tap to turn it on and off. I love the LED indicator light that shows water temperature. I also like the auto-off feature for when the water is running for a long period to prevent accidental overuse. However, since June, we have been having problems with the faucet turning on randomly in the middle of the night, it shutting off sporadically during use. When using the faucet, taps will not always turn it on or off. Sometimes you cannot get the faucet to turn on at all, using the physical lever or the tapping feature. I spoke with customer service who made suggestions about moving the wires and solenoid to make sure there were no crossed wires or other causes to these behaviors but the problem has not been resolved. Very disappointed from what I know it can be and was when we first had this product installed- it WAS awesome but now is a big headache.

Will the faucet still work if the owner goes out?? We have ours hard-wired and don&rsquo;t use the battery pack.&nbsp;

Hello Jill, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Touch2O Kitchen 9178T-SP-DST faucet is designed to only activate when touched. We recommend to turn the handle to the off position if leaving on vacation or for an extended period of time, but you can leave it on/open for day-to-day use. Best regards, Tanya

We recently installed this faucet in a condominium. When the neighbors use their cold faucets, hot water crosses through our clients 9178T-SP-DST and hot water comes out the neighbors faucets.

How do I dis-assemble the spray head?

Hi, Tom1! Thank you for your question. The Delta 9178T-SP-DST Faucet sprayer assembly can be dis assembled by first unscrewing the sprayer from the hose assembly at the connection. The aerator assembly at the face of the sprayer can be unscrewed with the RP50815 Aerator Wrench. I have 15 1/4&quot; from my counter to a a shelf above my sink. Is there a pipe attached to the faucet making it impossible to fit the faucet in the counter opening?
