The Love doesn't last
We love the touch feature, we live by it, and find ourselves tapping sinks everywhere we go that is not our kitchen. But, our faucet is 4 years now, and we had to essentially argue to get a replacement solenoid by year 3, and after another year it has gone out again.

What junk!
The only reason this faucet got 1 star is because 0 stars wasn't available. I am so disappointed, angry, and frustrated with this faucet. I cook a lot and I was so excited to have this "touch on" feature. I have spent far more money on plumbers bills to fix this faucet (multiple times) than its purchase price. I had this installed about 5 years ago. First, about two years in, I had water leaking from the handle. To Delta's credit, they sent me a replacement part free of charge, but the bill for the plumber was on me. Shortly after that the light that senses water temperature failed. I bought a new solenoid (a nearly $200 part) and paid the plumber's bill to replace it. Unfortunately, that did not solve the light issue -- the sensing for cold water worked, but the red light never worked again. I decided to ignore the temperature sensing malfunction since the faucet worked without it. Now, another two years down the road, the solenoid has failed again -- the "touch on" feature, which was the only reason I bought this faucet, no longer works. I could've paid a whole lot less for a conventional faucet, but the "touch on" feature was important to me. Something else to note: with the touch feature not working, regular use of the handle every day, all day, loosens the screw in the handle which makes the handle loose and flop around. The handle screw needs to be tightened weekly. TLDR: Save money and aggravation and buy another faucet.

Disappointing at every turn
I took comfort in the Delta name and lifetime warranty 9 years ago when I purchased my very first fancy touch faucet. About 6 months ago, while cleaning, it started its decline and ultimately became inoperable. Delta sent 2 sets of parts but the more I tinkered with the worse it got. Finally I received a new unit which was supposed to be an upgrade. Definitely not. A contractor installed last night and the touch worked perfectly. Today we’ve had to touch it up to 4 times to turn the unit on. The sprayer is weird and does not give a normal spray. Who wants 2 side sprays? The splashless option is pretty useless. The faucet doesn’t pull out smoothly like my previous unit but maybe that will wear down over time. The “upgraded” version style isn’t as modern looking with its handle as my previous version. So I am disappointed but after having no working faucet for 7 days I was grateful to be able to cook and clean the kitchen again. I’d love to share my video but only a YouTube video link is permitted.

Delta faucet
At installation the Delta Faucet there was a slight drip / leak coming from the handle . The plumber who installed the faucet to check it and saw no issues. The faucet continues to leak. The plumber will return to replace the cartridge to determine if this is the problem. Disappointed for such a good brand and quality faucet

It works well, and feels like it's sturdy in construction. It's more shiny in real ife than it appeared online. Not the worst thing in the world, but if you are very particular I suppest looking at it in the showroom.

Great products with outstanding customer service!
We had a problem with our touch kitchen faucet and customer service walked me through the diagnostics to resolve. However this joint effort was not successful so Delta shipped me a new faucet assembly without charge to replace our 5 year old faucet and I received it in 2 days. I could not have asked for a better experience and I don’t get to say that often. Delta has a lifetime customer with me.

Love the features.
With a touch the water comes on and with a long hold the water either stays on (if was already on) or if just moving the faucet, the water will stay off. No surprise burst of water on the arm (like other manufacturers have). I also really like the light on the bottom of the faucet to in dictate if the water is cold, warm or hot.

I installed this faucet three days ago and I am still trying to turn it on and off looking for a lever--The hardest part of the project was taking the old faucet off--I read the instructions and everything went smoothly--I am 81 Yrs old and had no problems putting the Faucet together--Works Great--

Absolutely love this faucet. We've had it for about six years now, and I can't imagine life without this touch-sensitive faucet. The only complaint we have is that it will occasionally turn on (phantom) by itself--perhaps temperature changes cause this? However it will shut off if left on for more than about a minute. This is a rare occurrence, but does happen from time to time. Otherwise it's phenomenal and has held up. It's a little inconvenient to have to change the batteries under the sink, but they seem to last about a year or so each time.

Easy to use…easy to install
My wife and I remodelled our kitchen and went with a Delta combo of sink and faucet. The day arrived for the counter installation and sink was installed with no issues. Next day was the faucet. After watching the installation video, took me 30 minutes (with able assistance from my wife) and everything was done. No leaks, no issues…..

We love this faucet! However, after we began experiencing the rusting. The magnet that holds the spray head was still working fine. We contacted Delta by phone to let them know about the rusty build up we were experiencing. The customer service rep was extremely helpful in explaining why this was happening. They were quick to take care of the issue within that same phone call and sent out the parts we needed. We have always trusted Delta products and appreciate their impressive customer service!

MagnaTite Docking Magnet Rusted Out
I have had the very same problem with my Delta9178T-AR-DST Kitchen Faucet as Brian explains below. The docking magnet rusted out after about 4 years of use. The spray head just hangs down a bit. Please advise what remedial action will be taken.

Magnetic Holder Rusted Out
I have had the faucet for 2 years, and it has worked great. However, the magnet which holds the faucet when it is retracted has rusted out. The faucet is obviously designed to be installed in a wet location, so I am surprised that there are parts of the faucet which corrode with normal use. So, the faucet currently hangs down and can not retract because the magnet is gone. The touch on/off feature works great though.

Excellent faucet
Great faucet!! The touch feature even works with dishwashing gloves on if you touch close to the base. The spot shield finish is really nice. It stays clean and their are no water spots on it. I hate to say this but I think it was worth the price I paid for it.

Touch Activation!
Really nice faucet. Delta quality, of course. Pull out spray head with standard spray and splatter-free jet spray are great. But the star of the show for me is Touch Activation. Tap on/tap off. Distinguished between tap and grab. This is my first faucet with this feature. I'll never buy another without it.

Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta faucet. We recommend to reset the LED light wire and battery pack. To do this, disconnect the LED light wire from the solenoid. Disconnect the battery pack. Wait a full minute. While you are waiting a full minute, you can check batteries and see if they are in good condition, even try new batteries. Make sure they're all in the correct direction and tightly secured in the battery pack. After a full minute, reconnect the LED light wire into the solenoid and then reconnect the battery pack. Wait another full minute. After the full minute, you can then check your faucet and see if the blue light works better. If this does not, please contact our Delta Customer Service line at (800)345-3358. We are available Monday-Friday, 7am-7pm, CST and Saturday, 8am-5pm, CST. You may also email at customerservice@deltafaucet.com.

How do you tighten the faucet part that sits on the counter to keep from wobbling
Hi Dan B! This 9197t-DST kitchen faucet uses a mounting bracket that can be tightened to secure the faucet to the counter top. Please follow the instructions provided in the link . Please see page 3.

second issue with our 9178T-DST - it seems to be loose at the base. How do we tighten it without damaging the device. It was professionally installed about six months ago.

Model 9178T-DST. I do not get enough water pressure on my kitchen faucet as it was before. Is any part that I should change or has to be clean inside some where taking it apart? Hope that someone can help me with this issue.
Hello Rick,
Thank you for your question. We would recommend flushing the supply lines of your faucet. To flush out the valve body, so that these parts do last as long as possible, please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Gather an adjustable wrench, some towels and a bucket.
Disconnect the hot side Innoflex line. Move the handle to the full on position, middle temp.
Point the hot side Innoflex line into a bucket. Turn on the cold supply valve full.
Let a gallon or two flow into the bucket. Shut off cold supply.
Check bucket for debris. If no debris, empty bucket and run one more time.
Move handle to off position.
Reattach hot side line. Turn on both water supply valves.
