Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty neck design. The curve of the faucet's neck aims the water flow between the drain and the operator. Subsequently, the operator always gets wet. After visiting the kitchen design center, the girls there have the same complaint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Delta faucet. Not to difficult to install but have a helper handy to hold the faucet when tightening down the fastener nuts otherwise get creative to jerryrig a balancing prop to steady the faucet since you can't reach it while under the sink. It waters good and the spray is just fine. The valve assembly is smooth to handle. It is only a month old now but it should work fine for the long haul. It comes with hot/cold tubing to connect directly to the shut off valves so all you'll need comes with the Coranto. I think I'd buy one again.

The faucet lost water pressure from when it was first installed a month ago. What could the reasons be? I tried to remove the screen to see if there was any obstruction but it turns with the tool provided but doesn't come out for cleaning.

Asked by: BGeN
Hi BGeN, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9179-AR-DST. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! After the aerator is unscrewed with the included wrench, it should fall out or can be pulled out. We also recommend securing the hose and unscrewing the spray head from the hose to clean out any trapped debris. Run the water for a minute when you have the part removed to help flush out any additional trapped debris. Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! Is this faucet solid brass construction?

Asked by: John
Hello John, Thank you for contacting us! I am happy to help you! Unfortunately, we do not have a complete breakdown of the materials used in the Delta Faucet Single Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet model 9179-AR-DST. In general, metal parts are usually brass (hub, handle, body, tube, fittings), zinc (escutcheon, hub, handle), or stainless steel (set screw, undercover plate). Non-metallic products are beneficial in that they do not rust or corrode and help prevent heat transfer. Please contact us with any questions or for further assistance. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Best Regards, Emma

Seems the volume of water is low at the head end but take off head and water volume is much better. Is the head a water miser? Can I change it so I could increase the volume of water coming out? Our model is Delta Faucet : 9179-AR-DST

Asked by: Bill75
Hi Bill75, Please accept our apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! This faucet has a maximum flow rate of 1.8 gallons per minute. Unfortunately, we don't make a different spray head for this faucet. I recommend unscrewing and cleaning the aerator. Flush the spray head for a minute before reinstalling the aerator. If the flow rate is still less than expected, the spray head may need to be replaced. Please reach out for further assistance or with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan

What does "no-lead compliant" mean? Is water flowing through the faucet not encountering metals with even a small fraction of lead? Also, what's the rationale for not being NSF certified? Is it simply cost or are NSF requirements too stringent?

Asked by: Patrick
Thank you for your question. "No-lead compliant" means our products meet or beat the requirements for state and federal regulations. In this faucet, the water never comes into contact with metals. In order to be in compliance with ASME A112.18.1, the model is also required to be in compliance with the applicable section of NSF 61. Best regards, Bryan

Faucet is just a few months old. Suddenly water flow is barely coming out for hot and cold. All other faucets working fine. Nothing disturbed under sink. Doesn't look clogged. Help.

Asked by: Julie
Hello , Thank you for contacting us, I would be happy to help you. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Please contact us back if you have any questions or need further assistance. Best Regards, Themar

Is there a way to clean out pipe scale from the faucet besides flushing it through the supply lines?

Asked by: Larry
Hello Larry! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you. To flush the Delta Coranto™ Single Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet In Chrome MODEL#: 9179-DST, we recommend following the instructions below: Start with the easy stuff: -Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. -If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is.  -Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow.   -If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. -Next, check the supply lines for debris: -Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines.  -Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water.  -Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket.  Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. -Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. -After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. There is no other way to clean out the pipes besides flushing the unit. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.
