Not to difficult to install but have a helper handy to hold the faucet when tightening down the fastener nuts otherwise get creative to jerryrig a balancing prop to steady the faucet since you can't reach it while under the sink. It waters good and the spray is just fine. The valve assembly is smooth to handle. It is only a month old now but it should work fine for the long haul. It comes with hot/cold tubing to connect directly to the shut off valves so all you'll need comes with the Coranto. I think I'd buy one again.

The only negative for me is that the handle is moved forward for hot water and backward for cold. Over the years, for all of the faucets I’ve used, the handle is moved forward for cold water and backward for hot water. This not an installation issue, it’s how the faucet is designed. This has been quite an adjustment for me.

Both faucets had failed within 10 years. What! Faucets should last decades. Their failure caused damage and incurred significant plumbing charges for removal and installation. Lesson is - buy from a plumbing supply firm.

The faucet itself is great in finish and displays elegance to our kitchen. However within 1 year the handle kept coming off and for the last 6months we used the allen key to screw it back in now that also doesn't work and the handle just won't screw back in. Very disappointed and the new faucet with labor is expensive. Not surr how to reach out to delta to get this resolved. We do not have Receipt since our new home builder put it in. The builder says to reach out to Delta

A year and a half later the magnet on our “upgraded” faucet has rusted away and now the sprayer won’t stay connected to the stem. Poor design if the magnet is rusting away this quickly. Heck, I don’t even know how water got to it to make it rust. And what do you know, we are just out of our warranty range with the home builder. Maybe Delta can help right this wrong?

Can I get either a left hand or right hand lever?

Is there a way to clean out pipe scale from the faucet besides flushing it through the supply lines?

Hello Larry! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you. To flush the Delta Coranto™ Single Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet In Chrome MODEL#: 9179-DST, we recommend following the instructions below: Start with the easy stuff: -Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. -If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is.  -Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow.   -If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. -Next, check the supply lines for debris: -Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines.  -Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water.  -Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket.  Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. -Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. -After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. There is no other way to clean out the pipes besides flushing the unit. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. is it spot resistant?

Hi frustrated, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9179-DST. The reflective chrome finish would show water spots, but they can be easily wiped off with a soft cloth or towel. Hi. I bought a faucet about 7 years ago that looks very similar to the 9179-DST. The spray head will no longer dock to the spray tube, so I guess the magnet is bad. Can you please provide the part# I need to replace the magnet?
