Beautiful faucet!
Love this faucet in the oil rubbed bronze. Solid, well built and the color is rich. The diameter of the neck might be larger than some and it does sit very close to our windowsill. Be careful where it is mounted for good clearance of window framing and the sill.

Don't promise shipping if you can't deliver.
Product was great - shipping was not. I get that you can't control delays after passing it off to the shipper - but you promised two-day delivery and didn't even put it in the hands of the shipper for almost that long. Purchased because of the delivery promise, but it was a week in getting to us. Don't offer if you can't make it happen!

Not happy with this faucet. I had it installed less than a month ago and it has already started leaking at the handle and under the sink. Had 2 plumbers look at it and both said they could not fix it. Since going to the manufacturer is a painfully long dream out process and we need a faucet that does not leak we ordered a Kohler.

Handle fell off
Ordered this faucet to replace a bad faucet. Our plumber installed it (service call and charge). The handle fell off within 1 month. Plumber returned to take a look (service call and charge). Delta won't reimburse me and said - you should have installed it yourself.

Lovely Faucet and a Beautiful Finish
The Delta 9179-DST Coranto Pull Down Kitchen Faucet is designed with the perfect blend of elegance and simplicity. There is just enough detail to take away the heaviness and clunky feel of the styles offered in most big box stores. Delta's Matte Black finish is beautiful and easy to maintain with a quick wipe (using a microfiber cloth) after each use. I found the installation to be straight forward and easy to understand. Note: If using the optional escutcheon, it helps to add a bit of silicone caulking on the underside edges of the plate in order to create a water tight seal; this also firmly secures it to the sink deck, as there is a slight wobble without it. The instructions do not mention that step but it truly made all the difference in the "sturdiness" of the install. Some reviewers mention low water pressure, which in reality, is unique to each install but in our home the pressure is strong and temperatures are balanced. The one lever handle functions nicely, without any lingering drips and the spray nozzle is easy to pull in/out and stays in place once docked. The stream to spray button transitions smoothly and although I have not found myself using it that often, the splashguard feature is a nice feature. In my opinion, Delta did an amazing job with this one ... the style, the finish, the functionality. It truly is a lovely faucet.

I had a real hard time trying to figure out the coloring/metal. We wanted more of a brushed look (ie: satin nickel or similar). This is a little more chrome like, than i wanted. I felt the assistance when i bought it didnt help my choice. Its not bad, just not my 1st color choice

Can I get either a left hand or right hand lever?

Is there a way to clean out pipe scale from the faucet besides flushing it through the supply lines?

Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you. To flush the Delta Coranto™ Single Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet In Chrome MODEL#: 9179-DST, we recommend following the instructions below:
Start with the easy stuff:
-Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed.
-If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is.
-Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow.
-If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet.
-Next, check the supply lines for debris:
-Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines.
-Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water.
-Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket.
Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply.
-Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds.
-After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies.
There is no other way to clean out the pipes besides flushing the unit.

Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9179-DST.
The reflective chrome finish would show water spots, but they can be easily wiped off with a soft cloth or towel.
Other faucet models with Lumicoat technology resist water spots and buildup.

Hi. I bought a faucet about 7 years ago that looks very similar to the 9179-DST. The spray head will no longer dock to the spray tube, so I guess the magnet is bad. Can you please provide the part# I need to replace the magnet?
