Rated 2 out of 5 by from Temperature Adjustment: VERY DIFFICULT I bought this as part of my kitchen remodel about a month ago. I debated between a Moen faucet and this Leland by Delta. All those reviews that complained about how difficult it is to adjust the water temperature were spot on!!! There is a wide range for scalding your hands and a wide range for freezing off your fingers, but there is barely a range for nice, warm water for washing dishes or hands. All of the other features work fine and I do like the look of the faucet. But I would not purchase this again.

I did read the bad reviews first taking note of the need to finger tighten the product, during the shipping process, things may come loose. After checking what we could.... WE HAVE A WINNER!!! Love the size- it reaches farther into the sink than our previous one, so no more water splashing all over the counter. I also love the magnetic feature of the removable spout, so it sticks together no matter what. The three different streams are great. The only downside is that they are so fun, my preschoolers think the faucet is their own personal toy and want to play with it all the time! So much for the whole no-more-water-on-the-counter bonus ;o)

Everything works silky smooth with a good volume of water. The magnetic spray head holding system works smoothly yet holds securely, and the stainless finish matches my sink well. A well designed faucet.

It does help prevent splash but it isn't perfect - though I cannot see how it would be and maintain the power the small jet does actually have. It was easy to install. I did have a slight leak (2 drips an hour) but this was easily found and easily tightened to resolve.

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

Hello Chritsy, Thank you for your inquiry! The wand/sprayer assembly of the Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 978-AR-DST faucet, an be remove by simply unscrewing it from the end of the hose assembly. This should be done by hand only. Best regards, Tanya

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches.  Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?

Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2". Best regards, Edward

I see where you have answered the question about the difference between Model 9178 and 9678. What is the difference between those and Model 19978?

Hello Kathy 61, Thank you for your question. The Delta Leland Pull-Down 19978-SS-DST faucet is a Home Depot exclusive model and it is similar to the Leland 9178-AR-DST faucet. I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?

What is the tubing for the pull-out spray made of? I am concerned about the materials as the drinking water is now being consumed from this spray.

Water pressure has become low at kitchen faucet. How do we take the sprayer apart to clean it?

Thank you for your question, Cathy! This Leland model included a cashe aerator wrench, part number RP50815 that is used to remove this aerator counterclockwise. It is designed to clip onto the Pex supply line below the counter but a pair of needle nose pliers may be carefully used in its place.
