We have the soap pump as well, because our granite had the three separate holes that needed to be filled. We love the sprayer. We’ve had no problems with it clicking back into the faucet after pulling it down. The water pressure is great. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replaced the same model We had to replace the same model in a house we recently bought because the previous installation was done so poorly that the faucet handle wobbled and even when fully tightened down. The skirt spun around because a tab had been broken during the original installation. It was painful to have to buy a new one but the replacement is much more stable .

After reading some of these reviews I’m thinking I need to replace the cartridge, but I kept thinking it was too soon. I should still be under warranty but the plumber disposed of the packaging. Is there anywhere else to find this information?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from the downside I bought the delta brand to replace a moen fixture similar in design. The magnet faucet does not snap back into place like I had hoped. The hot cold is difficult to control. I wish there was a pause button to stop flow from handheld faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A startling decline in quality My previous Leland lasted from 2008 until August of 2021 when the aerator began to deteriorate. Because at some point they changed the design of the Leland, I wound up having to get an entirely new faucet which Delta provided under warranty. I had to get this installed at considerable expense, and exactly 1 year later (08/22) I had to have them send me a new cartridge under warranty because it wouldn't close completely and it leaked. It is now 3/1/24 and it's leaking again, and will need its third cartridge in 3 years. Keep in mind my original made it 12 years on one cartridge. Furthermore, the old Leland used a mechanical clip to retain the sprayer head, but the new one uses a magnet. That magnet failed almost immediately and now the sprayer head just hangs. Overall I am incredibly disappointed in the nosedive in quality that Delta has apparently taken. This is also a $650 faucet, not the $59 Lowe's builder special, which makes this dismal quality all that more unacceptable. Do better, Delta.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intermittent leaking Faucet was purchased and installed over a year ago. The faucet looks solid and fits my style. However, from the start we’ve had some leaking reportedly due to a faulty valve, as well as the tiny hot & cold indicator tab that gets pushed into the hole, keeps falling off. The customer support was excellent with quick turnaround, we received the replacement parts with instructions. We replaced the valve and was working properly. However, same issue happened again within few months and same repeated. So far working ok but the water shuts off only with repeated attempts. At this point, I’m concerned about the quality and durability of this specific product. We’ve had many Delta products over the years and I’m going to rest easy hoping the Co will continue to stand behind.

There is a piece of black plastic in the lever assembly with four tabs that hold the cylindrical trim on the lever snug to the counter, These tabs break easily. The plastic piece cannot be replaced without buying the entire expensive metal trim. Bad design. It costs upwards of $60 to replace the assembly just to fix a 10 cent piece of plastic. Delta does give the option of buying the cheap plastic insert.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Design & Ease of Use & Quality I bought this approx. 9+ years ago and it has serviced us well. It's so easy to use. The only issue we've had was about a yr. ago, water was dripping. We didn't know it had a cartridge. After speaking with St. Tammany Supply where we purchased, we were told it probably needed a replacement cartridge. The recommended a plumber and the same day, he came out and replaced for us. Probably could do it ourselves when needed. The first one lasted about 8+ yrs. - Found out on other bathroom faucets there's a key to remove strainer for cleaning. Today, checking with St.Tammany Supply, they had a key for the bathroom faucets. Wow worked like a jewel. No more toothbrushes to try to clean upside down. Hopefully, there's a key for this one, if not, will have to check assembly. Hats off to Delta. Ours looks as good as the day they were installed with the Nickle finish.

The cons have been that it’s hard to shut off completely and will drip unless it’s shut off from the cold side. It started squeaking when it was turned off and on about 2 months after install.

It says 2 or 3 hole installation. How does it work on a 3 hole? Also any similar setups on black?

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches.  Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?

Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2". Best regards, Edward

I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?

Water pressure has become low at kitchen faucet. How do we take the sprayer apart to clean it?

Thank you for your question, Cathy! This Leland model included a cashe aerator wrench, part number RP50815 that is used to remove this aerator counterclockwise. It is designed to clip onto the Pex supply line below the counter but a pair of needle nose pliers may be carefully used in its place. Is Venetian Bronze still available? The photos look suspiciously like oil-rubbed bronze. We are replacing a faucet in our kitchen, and there are two sinks in close proximity. It will be obvious if the finishes are not the same.

Thank you for your question, david524! Delta model 978-RB-DST is only offered in Venetian Bronze which is a dark chocolate brown color with copper brushed highlights throughout. Oil Rubbed Bronze is a much darker, almost black finish with copper accents but without brushed marks. Best regards, Edward

Model 978-DST. Cannot remove the bonnet to replace the cartridge..Used suggested 1 5/16 socket. Cannot break it loose from the base. Some help please. Thanks.

Is it possible to increase the gpm flow rate of this faucet? If so, what part should be ordered?

Hi meb, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 978-RB-DST has a flow rate of 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. We do offer a wand assembly that includes an aerator which will increase the flow rate to 2.2 gpm at 60 psi. That model number is RP51480RB. Thanks, JessW
