Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta faucets!! I just had this installed in my kitchen with a matching island sink faucet and I love them! Delta is the best!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement Replaced same model that was 16 years old. Noticed some changes. Water comes out noisier. Replaced braided stainless steel hose with a rubber one. I hope it holds up as well as the previous one. The brushed nickel finish looks almost like stainless steel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use and high quality. Plumber installing had to go get an extra part ($). The only thing we don't love is that the extended nozzle needs a real push to get back in the faucet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worked well for a while, but didn't last I've owned this faucet for 13 years and at first it worked well. Magnetic docking of pull-down spray is a nice feature, but the magnet has rusted over time. The valves don't last very long. I've probably installed 4 or 5 valve body's in this. It fails the same way every time, when it starts leaking when in the down/off position. You have to rotate the handle in a circle left or right to get it find the sweet spot where it actually shuts off. The finish on both the handle and the top of the spout is basically gone. It didn't last more than 5 years in daily use. At this point I'm sick of replacing valves and will likely replace the entire faucet, unless Delta will "warranty" it.

How to stop a drip?

The Leland 978-DST faucet valve mounting bracket (RP47029) rusted out. I purchased a new bracket and the corresponding wrench with nut (RP47030) but now need a new stud for the assembly. Please provide a part number or specifications for the stud.

Asked by: Chevy Engineer
Hi Chevy Engineer, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 978-BL-DST. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! Our faucet is almost 10 years old, and it is hard to keep the faucet from dripping. We have to try a few times and get the on/off mechanism in just the right place for the dripping to stop. What kind of repair might this faucet need? Thanks in advance.

Asked by: SteveD1166
Hello! Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! If it is difficult to turn the faucet off, it may be a defective cartridge assembly. Our 978-AR-DST uses RP50587. This part can be found online or locally! https://www.deltafaucet.com/where-to-buy We appreciate your inquiry. Please reach out directly if you have further questions! I bought this new in March 978-RB-DST.  The pressure is much lower than the old one. I use with and without the aerator and Head. With the head off the time to fill a bucket is half the time with the sprayer head.

Asked by: Mike
Hi Mike, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 978-RB-DST. Please accept our apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We are happy to help! If the flow rate is less than expected, the spray head may need to be replaced. It could be defective, or there could be debris or sediment trapped in the spray head. An older faucet may have had a higher maximum flow rate. This model used to have a flow rate of 2.2 GPM. Current faucets are 1.8 GPM. The spray head is designed to limit the maximum flow rate. It's normal for a higher flow rate with the spray head removed. Please reach out for assistance or with any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

When I have the handle all the way to the hot water side, there's no (hot) water coming out of the faucet. If I turn the handle slightly toward the cold side, hot water will run. Is this an issue with the valve assembly?

Asked by: Howard
Hello Howard, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! Low flow is caused by a blockage or debris, we would recommend flushing the Delta Faucet LELAND® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet MODEL#: 978-RB-DST. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Thank you for being a loyal Delta customer. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

I purchased a faucet at WinNelson in Searcy, AR about 5 yrs ago. It has began to drip, my plumber came with a new cartridge but is unable to get the bonnet apart to replace the cartridge. Are there parts available?

Asked by: Tim W
Hi Tim W, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! We recommend to soak a towel or washcloth in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water solution. Wrap the soaked towel around the bonnet to loosen any hard water or corrosion that maybe keeping the bonnet tightened. Once loose, use a strap wrench or adjustable wrench to unscrew the bonnet nut counterclockwise to remove. Please reach out with further questions! Hello - I need cartrage for my Delta kitchen faucet  DST 978 as it is leaking continuously. I wonder if you can help me get one Thanks

Asked by: Naguib
Hi Naguib, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the fully open middle position, and then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and repeat with the second line. If this does not help, please let us know. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist
