He said he had a little bit of difficulty installing it, but eventually got it in. It looks very nice, and dresses up our 28 year old kitchen.

Love the pull-down sprayer and separate water control -- just what I was looking for. The color was a bit different than what I imagined -- but still very acceptable. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect faucet for us! Bought this about a month ago and just love it. The installer said it was very easy to install and he likes it better than the one he has. We have 2 holes in our granite countertop, so this was perfect. My husband is left handed, I am right - and it works well for both of us. I also highly recommend a pull-down vs. a pull-out hose/sprayer. By pulling it down, instead of out and then down, the sprayer is already facing the direction that you want (down vs. out) and once you use it, the magnetic catch lets it go back into the faucet docking very easily. We have brushed nickel and there's no water spots at all. Love it!

It was also larger than I had pictured in my head, but I am used to it now. I love the pull down head and the sprayer works great. I like that is doesn't drip down into the cabinet under the sink like the old side sprayer did. I would happily buy this again.

The tall faucet aids in filling large pots, or buckets, and the spray pulls out so easy to use on vegetables or doing a person's hair, or simply rinsing the sink. The lever that changes the faucet from spray to flow is so easy. The lever to turn the faucet on, or to hot or cold is so easy, that you have to be careful of turning it on too forceful. Love the soap dispenser, easy to fill, and handy at all times - simply use dish soap in it, but diluted a bit for easier flow.

The only complaint that I have is that the cartridge had to be replaced early on. I felt like it should have lasted a bit longer. Delta sent me a new cartridge, a benefit that I really like.

When I was looking for a new kitchen faucet our plumber suggested looking at Delta because of the quality you get for the price. As I began looking at faucets I preferred Deltas faucet designs and was impressed with the features on the faucets. The chrome finish is beautiful and easy to care for. There are several features I enjoy having on my new faucet. I love the pull down spray feature, the hose is nice and long, the two spray settings are wonderful ,and the swivel spout adds extra convienience.

It seemed to meet our needs and certainly has. It was reasonably simple to install (no surprises) and the single handle makes on/off and temperature adjustment easy. The gooseneck faucet with pull out spray is very nice too. I would rate this as a definite choice provided you are looking for a two hole faucet with single handle. We are very satisfied with the product.

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches.  Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?

Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2". Best regards, Edward

I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?

Water pressure has become low at kitchen faucet. How do we take the sprayer apart to clean it?

Thank you for your question, Cathy! This Leland model included a cashe aerator wrench, part number RP50815 that is used to remove this aerator counterclockwise. It is designed to clip onto the Pex supply line below the counter but a pair of needle nose pliers may be carefully used in its place. Is Venetian Bronze still available? The photos look suspiciously like oil-rubbed bronze. We are replacing a faucet in our kitchen, and there are two sinks in close proximity. It will be obvious if the finishes are not the same.

Thank you for your question, david524! Delta model 978-RB-DST is only offered in Venetian Bronze which is a dark chocolate brown color with copper brushed highlights throughout. Oil Rubbed Bronze is a much darker, almost black finish with copper accents but without brushed marks. Best regards, Edward

Model 978-DST. Cannot remove the bonnet to replace the cartridge..Used suggested 1 5/16 socket. Cannot break it loose from the base. Some help please. Thanks.

Is it possible to increase the gpm flow rate of this faucet? If so, what part should be ordered?

Hi meb, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 978-RB-DST has a flow rate of 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. We do offer a wand assembly that includes an aerator which will increase the flow rate to 2.2 gpm at 60 psi. That model number is RP51480RB. Thanks, JessW

Difference in finishes

What is the difference between your arctic stainless finish and your stainless finish? Does one match stainless steel appliances better than the other?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet Artic Stainless finish has a bluish tint to it and does more closely resemble the stainless steel appliances that are out in the market today. Delta Faucet Stainless Steel finish has a more gold finish to it and is used in the bathroom to match the gold toned finishes there.
