She paid about $100 more through a big box retailer. Without realizing it, when I was looking for a new faucet, I picked the exact same one! I love this faucet. It moves easily and the sprayer goes where you want it, and not where you don't. It's a good value for the money. You won't be disappointed!

I love the pull-down featureof the faucet - as well as the magnetic "pull back up". The arch of the faucet is well positioned to wash anything and is easy to turn on and off and turn wherever you want it.

We have a smallish kitchen, and when we got the faucet I thought it was going to be too big when installed, but it looks and performs beautifully. Didn't get the soap dispenser as have had problems filling it from under the sink in the past--just purchased a nice nickel-plated soap dispenser from a local store that can be refilled on the counter. I would definitely recommend this fixture to anyone looking for ease of use and elegant design. LOVE the pullout spray!

I love the finish because it doesn't show fingerprints and matches my stainless steal sink perfect. It moves back and forth effortlessly and the pullout spray easily returns to the original position with the powerful magnet it has.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good looks, improved design Last year I purchased this same faucet in an earlier design version and was not happy with it. Two phone calls to the manufacturer did not resolve the issue, and I found out later that it could never be resolved because of a flaw in the design--it didn't have a removable aerator. We have hard water and even with a softener, the faucet would clog up with mineral deposits after a couple of months. There was no way to clear out the deposits--I tried the suggestions given to me by the customer service rep, and they didn't work. Then I went shopping for a new faucet and happened to see that Delta had a new version of the same faucet--this time with a removable aerator. A couple of other features were improved as well. I'd always loved the look of this faucet, and I still couldn't find one that I liked (the look of) better. So I decided to buy this model. It's been installed for just a couple of weeks, and at the time of installation I had the installer take out the aerator and put it back in--just to see that it does work. So far, so good. It hasn't started to clog up yet, but when it does, hopefully we'll be able to get it fixed without a hassle. This is a beautiful-looking faucet, and I love everything else about it.

I would like to take off the faucet head because it has begun to spray - I assume build up is inside the head. I see the little piece you can push in but it doesn't want to come apart from the hose easily. Is there a trick to take the head off?

The spec indicates a min clearance of 2.5 inches from center of hole for faucet to backsplash. I only have 2 inches.  Why is 2.5 inches needed since the handle goes forward and not back? Will 2 inches work?

Thank you for your question, Bridget! The minimum clearance to the back splash is typically suggested for lavatory models with lift rods or for models where the handle does reach backwards. This is still suggested for maximum comfort and ease of use with the handle; however this model can still work with only 2". Best regards, Edward

I have granite countertops with two existing holes. One hole is only 1.375" dia. Is this large enough for the handle?

Water pressure has become low at kitchen faucet. How do we take the sprayer apart to clean it?

Thank you for your question, Cathy! This Leland model included a cashe aerator wrench, part number RP50815 that is used to remove this aerator counterclockwise. It is designed to clip onto the Pex supply line below the counter but a pair of needle nose pliers may be carefully used in its place. Is Venetian Bronze still available? The photos look suspiciously like oil-rubbed bronze. We are replacing a faucet in our kitchen, and there are two sinks in close proximity. It will be obvious if the finishes are not the same.

Thank you for your question, david524! Delta model 978-RB-DST is only offered in Venetian Bronze which is a dark chocolate brown color with copper brushed highlights throughout. Oil Rubbed Bronze is a much darker, almost black finish with copper accents but without brushed marks. Best regards, Edward

Model 978-DST. Cannot remove the bonnet to replace the cartridge..Used suggested 1 5/16 socket. Cannot break it loose from the base. Some help please. Thanks.

Is it possible to increase the gpm flow rate of this faucet? If so, what part should be ordered?

Hi meb, Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 978-RB-DST has a flow rate of 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. We do offer a wand assembly that includes an aerator which will increase the flow rate to 2.2 gpm at 60 psi. That model number is RP51480RB. Thanks, JessW

Difference in finishes

What is the difference between your arctic stainless finish and your stainless finish? Does one match stainless steel appliances better than the other?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet Artic Stainless finish has a bluish tint to it and does more closely resemble the stainless steel appliances that are out in the market today. Delta Faucet Stainless Steel finish has a more gold finish to it and is used in the bathroom to match the gold toned finishes there.
