Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish but Splashes Users We purchased two of the vero faucet wide spread vanity champagne bronze faucets for our master bath remodel. They are very design conscious and look wonderful, but we need lobster bibs to use them. The water stream hits the drain cap and splashes absolutely everywhere, so that we walk away soaked. I am only relieved I didn't purchase these for the guest bath or powder room. If there's a "fix" for this, please share! Recommend it for looks, but otherwise, we'll need to reduce star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vero tub faucet: beautiful and functional We just installed this set in bright chrome on our new white freestanding acrylic tub. The tub is designed for a deck mount and this faucet set is perfect. The faucet itself is designed to go up and then out so it takes up a little less space than those Roman tub sets that extend way into the tub. It’s visually beautiful and delivers a nice stream of water. Our installer was VERY impressed with the quality and ease of installation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the Look, BUT.... We just renovated our master bath and installed two on each vanity. It looks great but we get splashed and my husband likes to shave in the sink and when you push down the drain stopper, it doesn't hold the water. It's a slow drain...we didn't realize it when we purchased. It is a chore to always wipe dry to keep it looking clean & shining each time you use it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks good but the worst purchase of my life I bought 3 of these faucets and one for our tub. They have never been anything except a problem. I have had a Delta rep come out and he couldn't figure out the problem with them. The handles do NOT stop where they should and go backwards with the water still running. On top of that even the base doesn't stay in place and rotates on the sink. This happens with all of these faucets. Do your self a favor and stay far away from these.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look. The polished chrome does show spots but I just quickly wipe it down after use. Also absolutely no problem with the aerator mentioned in some of the reviews—water comes out in a nice ribbon stream. Very attractive— just noticed this faucet was featured in a cCarte and Barrel ad for bathroom towels etc.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a beautiful faucet! I’m an interior designer and just used this faucet in my own powder bath. It’s a quality piece and such a showstopper! Love the champagne bronze finish... it’s expensive looking!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tired of being splattered We are very dissatisfied with the faucet due to the splattering. Each time the faucet is used we get wet along with the counter around the sink. Very disapointed with this faucet especially at the cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3553LF water splashes outside the sink Water splashing on your clothes and floor while in use. Call Delta they sent out aerator to replace, its round and will not fit. Contractor that installed faucet came out and turn down the water to a point its very low and it still splash hitting my stopper. The other option use one side and get less water splashing on clothes and floor. Delta rep was blaming my sink not being deep enough, after I mentioned the sink is standard size and I have three sinks with same size and the other two has no problems with splashing and I have Delta faucets on both. Its the faucet in my one bathroom that either is not designed properly possibly the spout maybe it should be arch a little more outward.

What is the maximum deck thickness for installation?

What is the maximum deck thickness for installation? The spec sheet says 1 1/8" but I saw a post that this had been increased recently to accommodate thicker granite installations? Hi Frustrated, Thank you for your question. In response to the trend of thicker counter top surfaces all of the recent and new wide spread lavatory faucets have a max deck thickness of 2-1/4". We offer the RP10612 for the models that need additional thickness. Thanks, Dave Skill Level: Advanced Read more: http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp10612.html#ixzz3tszB8GhG

Hi Larry, Thank you for your question! Out of the box, this unit works with a maximum deck thickness of 1 1/8". However, the RP10612 extension kit will add an extra inch to the maximum deck thickness. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp10612.html?showPhotoGallery=false Thanks, Jon

Even since install the hot and cold handles do not lie completely straight when in the off position.  How do you adjust it?

Asked by: embiidphila
Thank you for your question, embiidphila! The placement of the handles will rely on the valve orientation. If the base of the handle is not appropriately placed then the lever will also stop short of center. Please refer to diagram A and B in section 1 of the maintenance and installation manual for instructions. How can I adjust the handles so they stop when turning them

When I add the bonnet under the handle the handles do not catch on the stops so the handle goes all the way around. Is there a way to adjust the valve up or should I not use the plastic bonnet on top of the valve cover?
Asked by: Dmoench
Hi Dmoench, Thank you for your question. Please refer to diagram B in section 1 of the instructions. Please make sure that the top glide ring (5) is installed with the flat side face up. Please also be sure to press the handle (6) down until it is flush with the handle base (7). Please also make sure that the top retainer (8) is threaded all the way down onto the valve. You may need to loosen the mounting nut to thread the retainer. How do you remove the filter from the spigot.   We have a new construction and when we turned the faucet on for the first time it was blocked with debris.   No tool was provided to remove it.

Asked by: Everett
Hi Everett, Thank you for your question. Based on the "Maintenance" section of the below Maintenance/Installation document link, page 4. It states that you can pull out the stream straightener out of the end of the spout, with a long nose plier. This tool would not come in the box with the faucet. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/86410%20Rev%20C.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Distance from spout to deck

The spec sheet on the 3553LF shows a distance of 2 5/8" from end of spout to counter/deck. Is that correct? Screen shot attached.
Asked by: JM
Dear JM, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the 2 5/8" is the correct distance from the end of the spout to the counter-top/sink, for the Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet. Best regards, Tanya

In 2012, was the GPM 1.2 which they are currently 1.5 this year?

The water flow is very restricted. I see the product has a 1.5 GPM. In 2012 was the GPM 1.2?
Asked by: Dee
Dear Dee, Thank you for your question. The Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet had a flow rate of 1.5 gpm at 60 PSI in 2012. To comply with all states current plumbing codes and restrictions the flow rate of this Vero faucet converted to 1.2 gpm at 60PSI, starting July 1, 2016. Best regards, Tanya
