Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good but not user friendly Installed this when we remodeled our bathroom couple of years ago. It is a great looking faucet but from a functional perspective it doesn’t work well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta Vero 3553 I am an Interior Designer and this product is stunning! However, due to the design of the sink used (a Kohler product), the water splashes everywhere. I would advise future consumers to buy a deep sink bowl without a gradual incline. If Delta would adjust the angle on the faucet, ever so slightly, this would not happen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but the finish doesn't last I love the color and style of this faucet! We bought the whole line for our tub/shower, sink, and even toilet handle. We have it in our guest bathroom, which doesn't get a ton of use...sadly the finish on the faucet is fading, which takes away from the original luxe look. I would recommend, but maybe not in champagne bronze. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Design The design and finish are beautiful. Have gotten comments from visitors. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the way the water flows out of the faucet. The way the water hits your hands, it tends to splash onto the surrounding counter top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Set screw in handle problem The 3553LF is a beautiful tub faucet assembly but the handles keep pulling off no matter how tight the set screw is set! Maybe a part is missing? There is a screw hole in the top of the stem; is it there for a reason ? The builder didn’t leave me the installation instructions, so I don’t know if something is missing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this faucet We got this in the champagne bronze (wide set) to replace an old faucet. We're very happy with it, and haven't had the splashing issues that other reviewers have had (perhaps because my water flow doesn't fall on the drain).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Look great but functional issues We installed a set into both of our bathroom sinks. Both sink push-pop plugs have always been poor at holding in sink water. We now have to leave some water running to retain water level Also, 2 of the 4 handles go past the “off” position and go behind where they are supposed to go. The stop doesn’t work

What is the maximum deck thickness for installation?

What is the maximum deck thickness for installation? The spec sheet says 1 1/8" but I saw a post that this had been increased recently to accommodate thicker granite installations? Hi Frustrated, Thank you for your question. In response to the trend of thicker counter top surfaces all of the recent and new wide spread lavatory faucets have a max deck thickness of 2-1/4". We offer the RP10612 for the models that need additional thickness. Thanks, Dave Skill Level: Advanced Read more: http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp10612.html#ixzz3tszB8GhG

Hi Larry, Thank you for your question! Out of the box, this unit works with a maximum deck thickness of 1 1/8". However, the RP10612 extension kit will add an extra inch to the maximum deck thickness. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp10612.html?showPhotoGallery=false Thanks, Jon

Hi, Stefano. Thank you for your question. The stream straightener for the Delta 3553LF faucet simply pushes straight up into the mouth of the spout to install. Best Regards, Rosanna

Even since install the hot and cold handles do not lie completely straight when in the off position.  How do you adjust it?

Asked by: embiidphila
Thank you for your question, embiidphila! The placement of the handles will rely on the valve orientation. If the base of the handle is not appropriately placed then the lever will also stop short of center. Please refer to diagram A and B in section 1 of the maintenance and installation manual for instructions. How can I adjust the handles so they stop when turning them

When I add the bonnet under the handle the handles do not catch on the stops so the handle goes all the way around. Is there a way to adjust the valve up or should I not use the plastic bonnet on top of the valve cover?
Asked by: Dmoench
Hi Dmoench, Thank you for your question. Please refer to diagram B in section 1 of the instructions. Please make sure that the top glide ring (5) is installed with the flat side face up. Please also be sure to press the handle (6) down until it is flush with the handle base (7). Please also make sure that the top retainer (8) is threaded all the way down onto the valve. You may need to loosen the mounting nut to thread the retainer. How do you remove the filter from the spigot.   We have a new construction and when we turned the faucet on for the first time it was blocked with debris.   No tool was provided to remove it.

Asked by: Everett
Hi Everett, Thank you for your question. Based on the "Maintenance" section of the below Maintenance/Installation document link, page 4. It states that you can pull out the stream straightener out of the end of the spout, with a long nose plier. This tool would not come in the box with the faucet. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/86410%20Rev%20C.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Distance from spout to deck

The spec sheet on the 3553LF shows a distance of 2 5/8" from end of spout to counter/deck. Is that correct? Screen shot attached.
Asked by: JM
Dear JM, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the 2 5/8" is the correct distance from the end of the spout to the counter-top/sink, for the Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet. Best regards, Tanya

In 2012, was the GPM 1.2 which they are currently 1.5 this year?

The water flow is very restricted. I see the product has a 1.5 GPM. In 2012 was the GPM 1.2?
Asked by: Dee
Dear Dee, Thank you for your question. The Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet had a flow rate of 1.5 gpm at 60 PSI in 2012. To comply with all states current plumbing codes and restrictions the flow rate of this Vero faucet converted to 1.2 gpm at 60PSI, starting July 1, 2016. Best regards, Tanya
