What is the difference in stainless and polished nickel?

Hello Beth, Thank you for your question. The Delta Stainless Steel finish is a neutral brushed, low-gloss silver finish and the Polish Nickel is a high-gloss, pale gold finish. Doe the Cassidy bathroom faucet Model # 3597LF-ssmpu-lhp have a pop up drain or a pull up drain?

Are the internal components metal or plastic?

I put the stainless version of these in all if my new sinks when we got the bathrooms remodeled. The finish on the drains/stoppers are all changing color in splotches. Why? Is this normal?
