Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I bought this faucet at the end of January and installed it soon after. The installation was easy, but the plastic threads inside the handle sleeve (RP53858) are cheap and easily broken. The red/blue button (RP50786) that hides the set screw does not fit into the threads and can't be used. The real problem with this faucet is the handle. It is very stiff and much more effort than expected must be used to move it. This makes finding just the right position to balance the water temperature very hard to achieve. There is simply no fine adjustment to the handle position. It also is sometimes hard to get the water turned off completely and often takes 2-3 tries to find the spot that works. Based on a review/question posted to this site, I tried to install a swivel aerator. Delta advised taking out the aerator that comes with the faucet, installing a cache aerator adapter (RP 51505) to adjust the threads, then use swivel aerator RP 63137. I bought these parts and they do not work. The threads are still the wrong size. You cannot add a swivel aerator to this faucet.

Delta will replace this under warrantee, but what am I supposed to do for water in my kitchen for several weeks until the part arrives? I shouldn't have to overhaul my faucet that often! I probably won't use a Delta faucet when I replace my other eight sink and shower faucets.

The sprayer of this newer model I can not describe. Why was the activation lever moved to the under side where you would normally grip the sprayer when when removing it from the holder? In my opinion, definitely a design flaw.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not perform as promised Brought this faucet home after replacing a different version of a Delta kitchen faucet. The old one dripped constantly from the very start. I had high hopes for this one, but again....it drips constantly and won't quit. I am tremendously disappointed in Delta products at this point and am not sure that I feel confident enough to give them a third chance or even give them the opportunity to have my business. I've sent in a request for a replacement of a broken part that was in the box and as yet have not heard a reply, so I think I have to say that I'm finished buying Delta products. Spending the amount that I did on my faucet only to find that it leaks and came with broken parts in the box is not a confidence builder.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from NOT HAPPY We bought this set a couple of weeks ago to replace the exact set we purchased years ago.The reason was that we could not get the water to run completely cold It was always "luke warm." At one point we had the valve changed (covered by your warranty.) I am sorry to report that we are having the exact same problem with this new set. No problem getting very hot or warm water. Practically impossible to get cold water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Faucet - But Production Refinement is Needed I bought and installed this faucet about 3 weeks ago as a replacement for Moen which was starting to show its age. I probably could have cleaned it up and rebuilt it but for one small problem - the plastic hot/cold indicator disintegrated leaving a hole in the front of the faucet. I tried in vane to replace it, scouring the Moen site and plumbing supply shops all over the internet. I originally opted to purchase another Moen (Edison) over the Delta but when I took it home it was missing a part. Since it was the last one in stock I exchanged it for the Delta Bellini. It is a good looking faucet and is proportioned for a large kitchen sink and I liked it better than my first choice. It took me about 3 hours to install, which included the return time for the Moen and the time to disassemble and wrestle with the old unit. The instructions left much to desire. They were unclear and the illustrations were poor. They would be useless to someone who is not familiar with installing faucets. The parts went together well and the push-in compression fittings were leak free. I checked for leaks periodically for 3 days. The last step was installation of the hot/cold indicator which covers the faucet handle set screw; the very same part which caused me to replace my old faucet. Well it didn't secure properly. The little spreader clip which is supposed to engage the hex socket in the set screw wasn't long enough to hold the indicator in place. Come on Delta - really?! After all of that work I had a smiling faucet with a missing front tooth. So much for your design and quality control. I wasn't about to pull the faucet out, so used a small amount plumbers putty to secure it in place. So far so good. Time will tell if it holds and I'll have to clean the hardened putty out of the cavity if I ever want to remove the handle. I gave it a 4 because it functions well and the good looks. But I almost gave it a 2 because of the frustration factor. Delta - get a grip on your design and manufacturing.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love it but 1 issue Have had this faucet for over 5 years now. It is hard to find sets that utilize 4 holes instead of a plate. It looks great and works great. The issue is the handle. It is very loose and you really have to work to get the water completely off. As others have mentioned you have to almost turn off in a clockwise motion or just "slam" it off. If anyone has any suggestions of how to fix I am all ears. Thanks.

The most difficult part of the entire process was getting my old faucet disconnected. I was disappointed at first because it would drip a little after turning it off. However, after a few days it seemed to have 'fixed' itself and now works fine. Perhaps the washers in the valve needed time to get broken in and seat themselves correctly? Overall a good product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Drips Constantly Unless Very Carefully Shut Off We have an older version of this exact style with a spring and seat valve. It still works great in the house we now rent. We purchased a new Delta for our new house. it looks just like the old one but has the new diamond valve. This faucet drips constantly unless you are very careful to shut it off using a clockwise motion. It's much more difficult after the hot water has warmed the valve. We have teenagers and I find this faucet dripping frequently.This is wasteful and costly. Delta sent a new cartridge and it does exactly the same thing. Come on, Delta I know you have the expertise to design a better valve. We like the design, just not the performance.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor handle design I bought this faucet 5 years ago, and for a while it seemed great! It's gorgeous, looks elegent in my kitchen. A couple months ago it started to become loose on the sink and I couldnt seem to get the handle in the correct position to turn off. I began dripping like crazy until I could get the handle in the best position. Now the handle just jiggles in the sink. The rubber seal that held it down on the sink just disintegrated. I tightened it up, but it has now jiggled itself loose again. It's driving me insane, and I just keep tightening it down. I'm not sure if it's the rubber seal, or the handle is defective, but for what I payed for the faucet I would have expected it to last longer than five years. VERY DISAPPOINTED DELTA!!!

My delta faucet model #11946-SSSD-DST handle is very loose making it very hard to turn the water totally off so it doesn’t drip Any suggestions? Or do I need to replace faucet?

Can a different aerator be installed on this faucet in order to cut down on the splash?

Water comes out so hard and "streamed" that it splashes out of the sink and all over the place.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 11946- SSSD-DST has an aerator with a flow rate of 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. There a couple of factors that can affect splash into your sink. If your sink is too small to handle the arc of the faucet, then the water will splash out of the sink. If the water is turned on too hard, then the water could splash out. If you would like lower flow aerator, you can purchase one with a lower flow. RP60729 flows at .5 gpm. RP72676 flows at .35 gpm. RP63886 flows at 1.0 gpm, and RP60983 flows at 1.5 gpm at 60 psi. Any of these aerators will work with your existing faucet.

Can you install without the spray nozzle on older models

The one I have does not have the plug to eliminate the sprayer. It has a tee fitting. Is there an adapter that can be purchased.

Hi, Jerome! Thank you for your question. The older Bellini faucet (11946-SSSD) does not have a plug to eliminate the sprayer. For the newer Bellini faucet, (11946-SSSD-DST), the plug is available to eliminate the sprayer. The plug is RP54269. Best Regards, Rosanna

Why does the aerator drip water from opposite sides. Removed several times and no change. Unit does not have an o-ring or gasket. Also does not look like the replacement aerator shown in the parts list.

is it possible to hook up a portable dishwasher adapter to faucet?

No, the spout is too wide. I had the same problem years ago and discovered several solutions. I installed a T between the hot water valve and sink supply line. Then I attached a second valve to the T that allowed me to connect the portable dish washer. I connected mine permanently by running the dishwasher hose behind the cabinetry. If that is not an option for you, the second valve could be turned on when the portable dishwasher is connected and off when it is disconnected.

I want to install a swivel head on the end of the faucet

On my old very similar Delta faucet, I was able to install a swivel head on the end of the faucet that could either flow or spray. The threads on this new faucet do not alow that. I want to know why this one was made this way, and also if there are any swivel heads available that I could install.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 11946-SSSD-DST has a cache hidden aerator. We do manufacture an adapter that will convert your faucet to a 55/64" - 27 male thread faucet. You should be able to add a swivel aerator to it then. The model number is RP51505, and it can be purchased at your local retailer or wholesaler.
