Rated 3 out of 5 by from just okay I purchased this as a replacement faucet, it was the only one I liked with at least 3 holes. I do not use the soap dispenser. It works nice except for turning off. You must get it just right for the facet not to keep running or dripping. Most of the time I need to turn it on full again and slam it down hard to get it to turn off. I don’t see this faucet lasting too long if this is the way it needs to be shut off. And apparently I am not the only one that is having this problem. I guess we’ll see what happens because I’m not paying the plumber again to replace a 2 month old faucet.

The bigger problem is to shut off water one must jiggle the handle and find the sweet spot which is not straight down but off to the right and slightly up. Driving family crazy.

The design is very smooth and attractive. The only thing I don’t like is the “cheap” plastic of the sprayer. If it were as hardy as the other parts the would be a 5 star faucet!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy installation Replaced a 13 year old PF faucet that had been slowly leaking unknown for a while. Though I wish the leak hadn’t occurred it’s replacement is a great improvement. The Delta is not only better made the spout has a longer reach into the sink, the soap dispenser is more functional and the sprayer has a more friendly control and set. If it lasts 15 a bit longer than the PF I’ll be more than satisfied.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed The handle is loose, apparently by design, but the constant movement wears on the inside of the handle, increasing the looseness. I replaced the handle once, hoping that the looseness was a fluke but the new one was exactly the same. Finally wrapped the stem with plumber's tape hoping to fill the gap, which helped for a little while. Also, at first the water shut off as it should but over a short period of time we now have to push down hard and to the left to turn it off. It's sometimes so difficult that my wife gives up. Definitely not recommend this faucet or any Delta faucet with a similar design. Not worth the expense or the frustration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stay away from this faucet! I’ve had this faucet for 2 years now and at first it was great. Now the sleeve assembly is broken at the top where it holds the valve so it’s constantly dripping water, moving all around in the sink and practically impossible to turn off completely! This was a $200+ item with what seems like very poor build quality and quality control. Stick with Moen or Kohler if you want a dependable faucet that will last. This is the only Delta faucet I have and the only faucet I have that’s failed miserably!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big Mistake Had this faucet for a couple of weeks now. Handle must be continually jiggled while pushing down to get it to shut off fully otherwise, it continually dripps. Sprayer does not seal properly and after using the faucet for a while or multiple times, water builds up in the sprayer and starts leaking out of the sprayer. Terrible design with many flaws. Wish I had my old delta one back or at least, never purchased this one! Yes, it was installed properly, by a plumber.

We had this faucet installed this week and we love it, however, after only day, the hot/cold insert fell out and into our garbage disposal. I was able to retrieve it, but when I tried to re-insert it onto the handle, it would NOT snap into place. Any suggestions of why?

Then after a few attempts at cycling the water on-off it started working fine. Then about 3 weeks ago it stuck in the open position and would not close. So, called Delta and they sent a new sprayer. It works fine now. Delta seems to stand behind their products and gave really good customer service.

However, the fact that a crucial screw was left out of the box, he was unable to install the piece that turns the faucet on and off. We then had to go back to Lowe’s to exchange. Decided I no longer wanted this model and purchased the Savile #19949Z-SSSD-DST. Installation completed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Company And service!! I have a beautiful Faucet, I bought at Lowes. Ives had it for maybe 5-6 years. I did have a drip problem after a few years of ownership. I called and they sent a kit to fix, Great directions, Fast service. Now its 3 years later, same issue. I called and they are sending out another kit. I love the faucet and realize anything mechanical can have issues and hard water may be causing my issue. Regardless, They stand by their product and I will be purchasing nothing but Delta for my bathroom remodels and my next kitchen. Thanks Delta.

Should be up for on, down for off and left and right for temp. Instead it is all over the place. Took forever to find right position to shut it off. Company sending another plumber next week in case it was an install problem but now I am not sure.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Easy Install I bought this at the end of December and installed first week of January. It installed easy, just take your time reading the instructions. The set looks great in the kitchen. However I have two issues that I have seen in other reviews. One is that the handle needs to be closed in a very precise position or it drips, probably not enough to be noticed on your water bill, but annoying. The second is that the sprayer drips out of the head onto the counter when turned off. I have tightened the nut on the cartridge, removed the aerator to flush out any loose particles, and checked all fittings. Nothing helps. The sad part is that I bought this to replace a unit that the sprayer did the same thing just worse.

The install is time-consuming, but the Delta kit included all needed pieces including a solid 3-hole plate to ensure a nice and snug fit. I am pleased with the design, fit and finish. The issue I am now facing is with the handle; how it feels when you adjust the water temperature and the drip, if not turned off in a certain way. The handle is tough to move and creaks at times. If you do not push the handle to the right (cold) and then down, it will drip.

My delta faucet model #11946-SSSD-DST handle is very loose making it very hard to turn the water totally off so it doesn’t drip Any suggestions? Or do I need to replace faucet?

Can a different aerator be installed on this faucet in order to cut down on the splash?

Water comes out so hard and "streamed" that it splashes out of the sink and all over the place.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 11946- SSSD-DST has an aerator with a flow rate of 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. There a couple of factors that can affect splash into your sink. If your sink is too small to handle the arc of the faucet, then the water will splash out of the sink. If the water is turned on too hard, then the water could splash out. If you would like lower flow aerator, you can purchase one with a lower flow. RP60729 flows at .5 gpm. RP72676 flows at .35 gpm. RP63886 flows at 1.0 gpm, and RP60983 flows at 1.5 gpm at 60 psi. Any of these aerators will work with your existing faucet.

Can you install without the spray nozzle on older models

The one I have does not have the plug to eliminate the sprayer. It has a tee fitting. Is there an adapter that can be purchased.

Hi, Jerome! Thank you for your question. The older Bellini faucet (11946-SSSD) does not have a plug to eliminate the sprayer. For the newer Bellini faucet, (11946-SSSD-DST), the plug is available to eliminate the sprayer. The plug is RP54269. Best Regards, Rosanna

Why does the aerator drip water from opposite sides. Removed several times and no change. Unit does not have an o-ring or gasket. Also does not look like the replacement aerator shown in the parts list.

is it possible to hook up a portable dishwasher adapter to faucet?

No, the spout is too wide. I had the same problem years ago and discovered several solutions. I installed a T between the hot water valve and sink supply line. Then I attached a second valve to the T that allowed me to connect the portable dish washer. I connected mine permanently by running the dishwasher hose behind the cabinetry. If that is not an option for you, the second valve could be turned on when the portable dishwasher is connected and off when it is disconnected.

I want to install a swivel head on the end of the faucet

On my old very similar Delta faucet, I was able to install a swivel head on the end of the faucet that could either flow or spray. The threads on this new faucet do not alow that. I want to know why this one was made this way, and also if there are any swivel heads available that I could install.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 11946-SSSD-DST has a cache hidden aerator. We do manufacture an adapter that will convert your faucet to a 55/64" - 27 male thread faucet. You should be able to add a swivel aerator to it then. The model number is RP51505, and it can be purchased at your local retailer or wholesaler.
