I was forced to purchase this faucet as a replacement for our house rental unit as a tenant since the previous tenant installed a stainless steel aerator which was not legitimately part of the original faucet that caused damage to the faucet hardware. I ruined the faucet because I could not remove the aerator after I had secured it in too tightly. The faucet needed to be replaced for this reason. This faucet looks nice on the outside, but it is not designed to be functional. The high arc causes too much water splashing into the sink which ends up splattering up on the countertop surface. The water stream is not effective in washing dishes by hand because the high arc is too high from the sink. The faucet high arc design wastes too much water and has caused my water bills to be very costly. Also the one lever handle control for the water temperature is designed poorly. The water is too hot turning the handle to the left, and then the water is too cold turning the handle to the right. It is very difficult and frustrating to get the correct temperature without going to these extremes. It would be better to have separate controls for the hot water and the cold water to exact the correct temperature. Overall, a total DUD in design functionality and a complete waste of money. The sprayer works fine, but the lotion dispenser is a total waste of space. It is only there as a decorative feature. I do not recommend purchasing this faucet at if you are concerned about functionality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 11946-SSSD-DST Review This is a nice appearing and functioning faucet. I especially like the way Delta has improved the installation features. Faucets I have installed in the past have large nuts that have to be tightened but they are up behind the sink with hoses running through them, very difficult to tighten. This faucet has features that make the installation much easier. I hope Delta keeps improving on the install. What confused me for a while was the package contained two items not used with this faucet but was not explained in the instructions. Also there are two different "Nylon" seal washers but have the same part number and one has a sticky back, the instructions did not explain which goes where. Hope I did it correctly. The spray hose feels light and cheaply made, we will see how that goes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No lifetime warranty since it rusts and crumbles after time it just falls apart. First the soap dispenser is junk, then the aerator just blew out in pieces, no one has a correct replacement for that as the listed one is and has been incorrect. Now the plate below the faucet that holds the on off handle tight and the all-thread that attaches it to the plate have completely rusted through. I'm guessing via a leak in the valve, since there are no other issues under the sink. theres literally a pile of rust under it. This was one of the most expensive options available when I purchased it, lesson learned, price does not equate to quality in this case. This one will be tossed to the dumpster along with the Delta Name... just for fun i checked the other faucets installed in this house new at the same time, they were budget models of a lesser name, reserving the Delta and the expensive stuff to the open kitchen. Well they all have nice brackets free of rust.

Also VERY DISAPPOINTED that you no longer have the drinking water faucet that has the PUR filter that mounts the filter container under the counter..Also, the directions for this unit are terrible!!!

Now it runs all the time and the shut off valve has to be turned off to stop water flow to the faucet. The Diamond Valve is defective and coming apart.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drip drip drip I got this faucet at the end of December to replace another Delta one that lasted many years. I'm so unhappy with this faucet, it just keeps dripping if I don't pay attention on how it's shot off. I never had a problem like this with any other faucet, but this one is driving me crazy. My husband kept telling me to give it some time that maybe it would correct itself, but after 3 months it's getting worse. I do not recommend it to anybody.

The thread for the faucet strainer is unique and will not accommodate any adapter for a filter, swivel sprayer etc. available from Delta or a 3rd party market. I have tried them all and after repeated contacts with customer service the conclusion was that nothing will match the strainer thread. Bad Bad design flaw and no remedy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sweet Spot I had the Delta Bellini installed two weeks ago to replace a Moen kitchen faucet. The Moen lasted three years; slow water flow and decay of finish. The jury is still out on the Delta Bellini. The shut off handle has a sweet spot. If the handle is not set in the correct position the faucet will drip. This is a frustrating issue for the Delta Bellini Single Handle Kitchen Faucet. The installation of the faucet cost more than the price of the faucet. I sincerely believe that you have to purchase a product that will stand up to test of time. I do have kudos for Delta's customer service. If sometime goes wrong then Delta customer service will make things right. However, the one that makes out is the plumber, customer beware.

It was easy to install but you need two people when installing on a stainless steel sink and someone has to hold the stabilizer in place above the sink. The sprayer didn't work and had to take back to the store for exchange twice. Neither of these sprayers worked either (Handle stuck & sprayer wouldn't shut off) I called customer service and they sent another sprayer. Finally this sprayer worked.

The diverted hose for the sprayer is not obvious and I missed that one. Biggest job was removing the old faucet. I have a deep double porcelain sink with an instant hot water dispenser and a disposal under there. Of course the old fittings were corroded and rusty

My delta faucet model #11946-SSSD-DST handle is very loose making it very hard to turn the water totally off so it doesn’t drip Any suggestions? Or do I need to replace faucet?

Can a different aerator be installed on this faucet in order to cut down on the splash?

Water comes out so hard and "streamed" that it splashes out of the sink and all over the place.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 11946- SSSD-DST has an aerator with a flow rate of 1.8 gpm at 60 psi. There a couple of factors that can affect splash into your sink. If your sink is too small to handle the arc of the faucet, then the water will splash out of the sink. If the water is turned on too hard, then the water could splash out. If you would like lower flow aerator, you can purchase one with a lower flow. RP60729 flows at .5 gpm. RP72676 flows at .35 gpm. RP63886 flows at 1.0 gpm, and RP60983 flows at 1.5 gpm at 60 psi. Any of these aerators will work with your existing faucet.

Can you install without the spray nozzle on older models

The one I have does not have the plug to eliminate the sprayer. It has a tee fitting. Is there an adapter that can be purchased.

Hi, Jerome! Thank you for your question. The older Bellini faucet (11946-SSSD) does not have a plug to eliminate the sprayer. For the newer Bellini faucet, (11946-SSSD-DST), the plug is available to eliminate the sprayer. The plug is RP54269. Best Regards, Rosanna

Why does the aerator drip water from opposite sides. Removed several times and no change. Unit does not have an o-ring or gasket. Also does not look like the replacement aerator shown in the parts list.

is it possible to hook up a portable dishwasher adapter to faucet?

No, the spout is too wide. I had the same problem years ago and discovered several solutions. I installed a T between the hot water valve and sink supply line. Then I attached a second valve to the T that allowed me to connect the portable dish washer. I connected mine permanently by running the dishwasher hose behind the cabinetry. If that is not an option for you, the second valve could be turned on when the portable dishwasher is connected and off when it is disconnected.

I want to install a swivel head on the end of the faucet

On my old very similar Delta faucet, I was able to install a swivel head on the end of the faucet that could either flow or spray. The threads on this new faucet do not alow that. I want to know why this one was made this way, and also if there are any swivel heads available that I could install.

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 11946-SSSD-DST has a cache hidden aerator. We do manufacture an adapter that will convert your faucet to a 55/64" - 27 male thread faucet. You should be able to add a swivel aerator to it then. The model number is RP51505, and it can be purchased at your local retailer or wholesaler.
