The pull-down spray wand comes free with a gentle tug and gives you total flexibility. The hose extends and retracts without friction points, fed by gravity. As you raise the wand to dock it, the magnet embedded in the spout pulls the wand precisely into place. So, unlike other pull-downs that tend to droop over time, MagnaTite® keeps your pull-down faucet looking picture-perfect. This one gives a strong force of water in either spray or straight stream. Nozzle is on long hose so plenty of maneuverability. Happy it’s made in USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to find 4 hole faucet. Very happy with this faucet. My sink has 4 holes so I did not want a faucet with the supply on the stem as most all seem to have now. This faucet provided a hole for our filtered water. The pullout spray is magnetic so returns to the faucet automatically and easily switches from stream to spray.

I purchased this one and had a plumber install it. I love it. I like the spray and the natural flow both and the pull down nozzle works well and goes back up without a hitch. It also cleans up well, not spotting with our hard water. I definitely recommend it.

Not sure how long Delta's guarantee is for, but I'd still be looking at another plumber installation charge. What a hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly What We Needed We remodeled our kitchen 24 years ago including a Delta Faucet that needed three holes in the new counter top (Valve, Faucet, and Sprayer). When it came time to replace the faucet, we needed a model that would fill all three holes. This was not a 'slam dunk' because everyone has replaced the separate sprayer with an integrated spray head and many have also integrated the valve so that only one hole in the counter top is required. Thankfully, Delta has the 16970-SD-DST model with separate faucet, valve, and soap dispenser. True, we now have two soap dispensers but we don't have an empty hole in our counter top. And best of all is the performance of the Magnatite Docking, Diamond Seal, and Touch Clean features. I have no doubt that this system will last us another 24 years as did our last Delta faucet!

I love the fact that it actually has a button to switch from stream to spray and that it works even while the water is running. It fits lower in the sink than it looked in the picture and at first I was unsure about how I would like it, but it didn't take me long to get used to it. The water stays in the sink and not on the counter. Great quality!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice looking I purchased this 2 weeks ago and even though the reach is 9.25 with the arc is very wide and the water from the spout hits the bottom of the sink way out front next to me (reach should be 11+ NOT 9.25) and I get splashed so I pulled out the head and had my husband cut a small piece of garden hose then I pushed the hose piece up into the spout which holds the head back to where the water from the spout now comes straight down and hits the middle of the sink. May not look that great with the head out and the hose showing but it works great for us. No splashing. Love it now.

The instructions and diagrams are clear and easy to follow. The only tools I needed were a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. I am a 66-year-old woman, and I had this installed in about 45 minutes.

I was concerned about the magnetic locking system but it works just fine. I have a deep sink and I like the pull down sprayer on this product. It's much easier to rinse my sink after cleaning it as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far... an excellent product I did spend a couple of hours removing the old fixture and cleaning up the "footprint" of mung and residue it left on my stainless steel sink, before I could begin the installation of the Kate fixture, which does not have a plate to cover the top surface of the sink around the holes where the faucet, spout and soap dispenser protrude from. So the entire project took a good part of a day. (But I work slowly and carefully to avoid mistakes.) The installation instructions were pretty clear and understandable, but I did have to call the help line 3 times during the installation to get clarification on certain steps. The response time in all cases was fairly quick - matter of a 2 to 4 minute wait, which helps when you are in the middle of a project like this! And the help line staff was thankfully able to understand the details of the questions posed - they are apparently well-trained in their products! In one case, however, I wound up doing something differently from the recommended action, once it became apparent how the parts were going together. But overall, the installation went well, despite the very cramped and crowded conditions under the sink, which is a testament to the care Delta put into the design for ease of installation!! Due to the cramped conditions I wound up not installing the ring weight used to pull the spout hose back to a fully retracted position, or else it would have been banging on one of my shutoff valves every time the hose is released, which would not bode well for the long-term leak-tightness of the valve. Thanks to the magnetic catch that holds the hose in place, the weight isn't really needed. It is no bother at all to gently raise the hose back to the retracted position where the magnet finishes your action by pulling the hose nozzle into its seat. I followed the instructional guidance as closely as possible, and to my sheer delight, when I re-opened the shutoff valves, absolutely NO leakage or drippage anywhere! I continued to monitor under the sink for the start of leakage for almost a week thereafter - nothing! It is very important to remove the spout nozzle as called for in the instructions, because the first slug of water to come out was absolutely black, before it cleared up. Let that get flushed out so as not to get caught in the fine orifices of the nozzle, potentially clogging up your brand new faucet. The product has worked flawlessly for about 3 weeks since installation, and really improved the looks of the whole sink area. Here's hoping it stays this way for a long time! Also pleased that the soap dispenser can be filled from the top, and it is easy to monitor the soap level in the bottle with a flashlight. I would offer a suggestion, however, that the spout on the soap dispenser should be longer to allow it to more easily reach items you want to add soap to. (We use it to contain dish soap - not hand soap.) In fact if the spout could "telescope", so that it could be made shorter and temporarily out of the way when you are trying to wash a large pot, that would be ideal.

Is this a standard stainless finish or brushed? Model 16970-SSSD-DST-R

I have a leaking Delta kitchen faucet.  Current one has a 3-hole concept with the faucet on left, then the single hot/cold handle, then sprayer.  Can the order of this particular trio be switched to match my current one?
