Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed Your site shows the cost of this faucet at over $400, the plummer provided your product and changed us over $600 for it and installation. I don't think it works any better than the less expensive options.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nothing special, This faucet is average nothing special about it. It looks good but needs more weight to draw the sprayer back to dock. The sprayer itself is kind of bulky to hold. The third function of the sprayer is pretty much useless(at least I have not found a use for that pattern). Would be nice to have the option of which side to have the on/off handle on. The supply lines could benefit by being more flexible. The durability and no leaks is most important to me and only time and use can answer those two things

Rated 1 out of 5 by from TERRIBLE FAUCET Purchased this faucet from HD two months ago and it keeps dripping. I move the handle around to try to find the "right spot" to stop the dripping and sometimes it works but most of the time it does not. The faucet is brand new so I should not be having any issues with it, right? WRONG!!! Honestly, I would like to exchange this faucet for a different type altogether but that would cost me about $500 for the faucet and a plumber to install it. Wish I never purchased this faucet. DO NOT PURCHASE!!! You will have nothing but headaches.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk! Our faucet was purchased from HD, and within the first year, the magnetic mechanism broke twice. We had to replace the parts twice before finally after another “fight” and easily two hours on the telephone, they agreed to send a replacement faucet. They sent the wrong model and once again wasted more time on the phone with Delta. The supervisor we spoke with, was not very cordial and didn’t care how inconvenienced we were through this entire process. He couldn’t even schedule a home delivery pickup for the wrong faucet which was their fault! What kind of company does this???? In our opinion, his attitude and lack of regard to the paying customer was unacceptable and such that we will never buy another Delta product again. We also feel their quality has gone down hill like the customer service we received.

This may be a dumb question but are there Directions for using the different Sprays. I thought I read somewhere that you shouldn't use the Shield Spray without pulling out the hose and not to pull out the hose while the water is on.

Asked by: doowopman50
Hi doowopman50, thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! We do not have separate directions for the spray features, however, we are happy to help! Pulling the sprayer out with the water on may result in getting water outside of the sink. Our ShieldSpray is recommended to be used closer to the space you prefer to use it at. Please refer to the video in the link below to see how it can be used. https://www.deltafaucet.com/video-gallery/innovations/shieldspray-technology We appreciate your inquiry. How do you clean the sprayer on my Delta Leland Model#: 19978Z-SS-DST?

Asked by: phil
Hi phil, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel. Stubborn hard water spots are best avoided by this daily regime. If extra measures are needed, a solution of 50% distilled white vinegar (not apple cider or balsamic vinegar) and water could be used by wiping, spraying or soaking. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward and wipe dry. Our sprayer is plugged with low water flow. How do I clean it or get a replacement?

Asked by: indianasam44
Hi indianasam44, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 19978Z-SS-DST. We recommend removing and cleaning the aerator and unscrewing the sprayer to clean any debris trapped in the connection or screen. Soaking the sprayer in 50/50 white vinegar and water for an hour or two, then rinsing, helps remove mineral deposits that can build up over time. Asked by: Crystal

I had this kitchen faucet now hard to close well has dripping what to do pls advice thanks

Asked by: Ann ip
Hello Valued Customer, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! It is possible that a flush could resolve this issue with the LELAND® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With ShieldSpray Technology MODEL#: 19978Z-SS-DST. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold-water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the fully open middle position, and then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and repeat with the second line. If this does not help, please let us know. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist

I just changed the cartridge a couple of weeks ago and now the flow rate is drastically reduced, on both hot and cold.  The pressure on all other faucets is fine.  i took the nozzle off but that's not the problem.  Can debris get stuck in the cartridge?

Asked by: Jimm
Hi Jimm, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 19978Z-SS-DST. Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. We will be happy to assist you in resolving this issue! Over time, common water debris will settle in the house supply lines. Anytime the water is shut off to a portion of the home, this debris can become dislodged and will move through the pipes to be caught by a faucet. Local construction or the changing of the seasons can also cause this. Flushing the supply lines through the unit should remedy this situation. To flush the faucet, we recommend the following: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. Please contact us directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you!
