Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failing after 4 years of light use We purchased this faucet in 2021. Now it is dripping constantly, the cartridges feel spongy, and we need to call a plumber to repair. Is it ridiculous to expect a faucet used 5 mos of the year (at a summer home) to last < 4 years?

Our old kitchen sink was over 12 years old and they sent us a new model replacement because the old one was not repairable and no longer stocked . Customer service was also top notch!

The kitchen faucet Cassidy 2497LF has been replaced 2 times with leak problem both the handles and the stem. I attempted to contact Delta by E-mail with a no- reply response. I called Delta and was advised I had to take pictures and send them showing the problem. I do not have a smart phone and my son lives 60miles away has assisted in the past with re-installing. I was also advised that I needed to call Delta directly for parts and not use Lowes Store. I only have a simply request to replace my faucet, so I can have my son drive to my house to install

It provides good water pressure, the separate control handles for hot and cold water make it easy to select the perfect water temperature and the separate sprayer allows me to use the faucet spout for priming water filtration filters.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 4 yr old expensive faucet LEAKS - Not recommended This faucet was purchased new in October 2019 through our contractor and installed by plumbing professionals in our newly rehabbed kitchen. In July, 2023, I noticed water damage under the sink where this faucet has been leaking for some time. After investigating further, I could see water leaking from the handles and faucet , over the deck and apparently under the deck where it pooled and dripped down onto the wood cabinet flooring under the sink area. The wood flooring of the cabinet under the sink is humped up from the water damage on our new custom kitchen cabinets ! Why should we pay for a plumber to repair the defective DELTA parts on an expensive 4 year old DELTA kitchen faucet?? We paid for a higher dollar DELTA product thinking it was a well made product with a good reputation and are VERY disappointed.

Also why hide a screen that need ots own special tool to remove? If you lose it you're out of luck. And the tool is frustrating to use. If I knew about these features before having plumber install I would have not purchased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor internal construction I bought this faucet in Nov 2018. I loved the look--the Artic look was perfect with my sink and the style fit with my 100 year old home. Well, that is the outside, but underneath was lurking a catastrophe. A little over a year later, I am going to have to pay a plumber to replace the cartridges in the handles because I have an intermittent, but steady, drip that supposedly is caused by the wearing of the cartridge that controls the water. I was told by customer service that this cartridge could last 5 years or 5 months. NO ONE SAID THAT WHEN I BOUGHT THE PRODUCT. I thought that I would have at least 10 years before I had a problem. I have softened water, so it is not debris ridden. Over the years I have had $25 faucets that never leaked and the water was hard then. This a $400 BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.

Other faucets were flimsey, plastic, and not well made like it. In today's low standards of products and servuces, it stood out as a quality well made faucet.

Can this be mounted without the deck plate onto a granite counter top? If so, how?

Delta 2497LF- What parts are non-metal? Is the sprayer head plastic? What is weight of product?

Hello Dave, Thank you for your question. The Delta Cassidy Kitchen 2497LF facuet has a weight of 5.35 lbs. Our faucets use either metal and plastic combination or a proprietary mixture of components so that the product has a high quality, while maintaining safety control with the various temperatures of water that go through the product. The spout assembly and the valve body is made of metal. Where is the spec for deck thickness?

I don't see the deck thickness that this and other Delta faucets are for. Is that information provided somewhere? I've noticed that many faucets with escutcheons are limited to one inch or thereabouts of countertop thickness.

Can this faucet be mounted without the base plate?

Because of the sink set-up I have to mount the faucet spout at the right, and both handles to the left of the spout.

How do i get the it aerator off the faucet due to the fact that it's recessed? Is there a special tool for this?

Water in Socorro NM is very hard. I am considering the Vessona with a ceramic valve or the Cassidy with the Diamond valve. What is your recommendation for long leak free service in an area with hard water? Thank you
