Rated 1 out of 5 by from Problems with sprayer This faucet is definitely one of my biggest regrets from our kitchen renovation. I was attracted to the style of it, but it is not functional. It is very large and sticks out quite far into the sink basin. But, the biggest problem is that, after you pull out the sprayer, it is very hard to get it to fit back into the faucet. You really have to force it in to get it to stay put. Otherwise, it kind of dangles from the faucet. Then, when you need to use the sprayer again, you have to forcibly yank it out. Because of all this yanking, the actual faucet keeps loosening from the counter and twisting around. My husband has to go under the sink to tighten the screws about once a month, and they are now almost stripped. So, now we just leave the sprayer dangling out. This is disappointing, because this was not an inexpensive faucet.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality The plumber we hired to install our new kitchen faucet gave it very high praise. This is a beautiful faucet that works perfectly. My only comment is, it's a warm colored chrome finish. For some reason I was expecting a "brushed" warm nickel finish... somewhat "satin". But, it's chrome. Completely smooth and shiny. I know I just misunderstood so I'm living with my choice and enjoying it anyway.

I am concerned every time I attempt to put it back that I will break it. Otherwise I have to leave it hanging partway out which looks terrible. This is not acceptable for a product that gets used multiple times every day. Will provide photo if necessary. ★★★★★ ★★★★★ 1 out of 5 stars. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great styling and EASY installation with clear, detailed instructions! We did extensive research and explored dozens of brands and faucets before selecting this one. After deciding we evaluated many sources before buying it directly through Amazon. The box came within another box and was obviously a brand new OEM Delta faucet. First I must say the instructions were fabulous. They were VERY clear and very detailed with terrifically precise drawings. Also the parts were very well packaged and labeled. It took me more time to get the old faucet out than it took to install the new one! I love the new retainer nut with securing screws solution since the edge of the sink and the counter penetration make the "normal" retainer nut uneven. This easily accommodates that! The next piece of clever engineering I LOVE is the way the hose is a "pressure" connector with a security clip to insure it stays in place. Given the difficult access I had threading (and un-threading) a hose connector fitting (which I had on my old Kohler) was a nightmare! Comments we have had from visitors since we installed it are universally positive with most complimenting how the style is so appropriate for our 1920 vintage house. Functionally we have experienced none of the issues variously mentioned in the comments. Every feature works exactingly as designed. We were concerned about "sag" of the handle pull-out but, so far that has not been an issue at all. The handle fits back in securely and stays there. All in all we are absolutely delighted with the purchase and will consider Delta FIRST in the future and would recommend them, and this faucet in particular, without reservation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Spray head extremely difficult to insert and remove We installed a Delta Faucet, 4197-AR-DST, while doing our kitchen renovation. After a year the spray head will hardly insert into the faucet body. Both ends are plastic, with pull out sprayer having o’rings. Only time it fully inserts is when you get both end wet with water, but Then it almost impossible to remove it. I’d like to know if there’s anything that can be done so it operates as designed. This was a $300 purchase, and I don’t feel it worth it in current condition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed in 60 Days This faucet failed in 60 days. Unbeknownst to me, a small o-ring between the hose and the sprayer broke while I was doing dishes after a dinner party. I wasn't using the pull-out sprayer at the time, so didn't realize that water was leaking -- no, gushing -- out of the hose, down through my kitchen cabinet and subfloor, and into the basement ceiling. The damage was extensive. What's more, the hose itself looks shredded. Both my contractor and I believe that something inside the faucet caused the failure in the hose and in the o-ring. This is a major product defect, and I do not believe that replacing the hose will correct it. Beware.

What is the distance from the base to the top of the handle?

Would you call this faucet a brushed chrome or brushed nickle

I am trying to match pendant lights with the faucet. All lights are either brushed chrome or brushed nickle. The faucet is called stainless.

Hi! Thank you for your question. This finish is called Arctic Stainless. It is neither a 'Brushed Nickel' or a 'Brushed Chrome' finish. It is a matte finish with a tint of blue. Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic tones. Best Regards, Rosanna

Re Cassidy kitchen faucet, I have a replacement retainer part that Delta supplied.   How do u replace this part?

Thank you for your question, Karen! The RP73942 retainer can be reached by first turning the water supplies to the faucet completely off, next remove the wand from the pull-out hose. You will then need to lift the top portion of the spout up and off, while pulling the hose through. The retainer will pull straight out of the lower portion of the spout and off of the hose. Now you can install the new retainer, threading the hose through it, until it sits inside the spout base as well as the upper spout segment. You can not screw the wand back on and turn on the shut-off supplies. Regarding this kitchen faucet: CASSIDY™ Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet MODEL#: 4197-AR-DST.  When this faucet is put in spray mode and the water is turned off, will it stay in spray mode when the water is turned back on?

Hot/Cold lever seems backward

We just built our new home and had this faucet installed. I love the classy look and cross handles we chose; however the lever that controls the hot and cold seems backwards to me. When it is lying down toward me, I can see the letter "C". I would assume this means "Cold" but when I turn it on in that position the water is hot. Vice versa the other way. My husband checked the water lines and they are connected blue to cold and red to hot so that is not the issue. Is this just how the lever is designed?
