on CASSIDY 4197-C2-DST , how do you replace the valve cylinder, once you have the handle removed? what holds the valve in place? Any special tools needed?

Hello TomB, Thank you for your question. Once the handle of the Delta Cassidy Pull-Out Kitchen 4197-CZ-DST faucet is removed, you would remove the cap and unscrew the bonnet nut from around the the valve cartridge. Then, the valve cartridge can be pull right out of the valve body. Best regards, Tanya

Is the champagne color more of a beige/taupe color or does it have any gold tones to it?

Please explain how the handle operates - it looks like it rotates away from the faucet to turn it on and off. But how is the temperature regulated? If the handle needs to rotate back towards the backsplash, how much clearance does it need. Thanks!

Hi, Marilyn! Thank you for your question. The Delta 4197-CZ-DST faucet handle turns out/away from the faucet to turn on and give hot water. Move the handle towards you to get hot water. The minimum clearance to back splash for the faucet is 2 1/2" (64 mm). Best Regards, Rosanna

Hot/Cold lever seems backward

We just built our new home and had this faucet installed. I love the classy look and cross handles we chose; however the lever that controls the hot and cold seems backwards to me. When it is lying down toward me, I can see the letter "C". I would assume this means "Cold" but when I turn it on in that position the water is hot. Vice versa the other way. My husband checked the water lines and they are connected blue to cold and red to hot so that is not the issue. Is this just how the lever is designed?

Is there a larger size escutcheon available for this model?

I am mounting this faucet on a vintage cast sink with previously a 3 hole mount faucet. The area has some discoloration I am trying to cover. I purchased a RP714545 escutcheon but it is a little short for the coverage area I need. Is there a larger one that is compatible?

We installed a Cassidy faucet it our Kitchen and love the color (Chrome) however it is very difficult to pull out the sprayer and return it??? Can you give me some things to check, I really don't want to return it, I just want it to function correctly.

To help with the tight fit issue try WD40 Silicone spray on the plastic base that fits into the wand opening not the opening itself.
