Would you call this faucet a brushed chrome or brushed nickle

I am trying to match pendant lights with the faucet. All lights are either brushed chrome or brushed nickle. The faucet is called stainless.

What are the major distinctions between 4197 RB DST and 4353 RB DST?

Appearance wise they are identical but with a $175.00 difference.

Hi Rich, Thank you for your question. The main difference is in the styling of the faucet. Both faucets are single handle pullouts in the venetian bronze finish . The Cassidy model 4197-RB-DST has an integrated handle with the Euro motion cartridge and more intricate design. The Linden model 5353-RB-DST has more of a transitional design. The list price difference between the 2 models is approximately $35. Thanks, Dave

When Setting up the soap dispenser can longer tubing be used and put directly into a bottle of soap on the cabinet floor?

Instead of using the small plastic bottle that came with the soap dispenser, can you add a longer piece of tubing and extend it into a larger soap container that you can set on your cabinet floor? It would be much easier to get to when it needs replace.

I am considering purchasing this faucet, but have concern with how easy it is to pull out and replace the wand.

I tried it at a friend's home, and it was very difficult to pull out. Could this be an installation issue? Is there somewhere near Gainesville GA that has the faucet in their showroom to try it?

Can I have a soap dispenser with this faucet?

Hi Kitty, Thank you for your question. The model 4197-DST can be installed as a 1 or 3 hole installation. As long as you have space available you can add a soap/lotion dispenser to this faucet. The RP71543 coordinates with the Cassidy collection but you can choose which ever style you like to go with the faucet. Thanks, Dave

Can the lever be positioned in the front?

I'm very interested in your model # 4197 PN-DST in Polished nickel. According to the little youtube video on this page, this model comes in 4 colors and the polished nickel is NOT one of them. So is the video correct, or can I order it in Polished Nickel?

I want to purchase Cassidy faucet # 4197-DST for a vintage kitchen with shallow depth counters. Why do I need 2 1/2" distance from the backsplash?

I would have just 1 3/4" to backsplash, and there is also a windowsill nearby, which makes the upper space for faucet even tighter. I really want this faucet.... It doesn't look like it would need that much, but I don't want to do an order I can't return. Please tell me why. Also wondering why the sprayer is is plastic not metal? Seems odd. Thank you for your help.

The Delta Cassidy Kitchen Pull-Out 4197-DST has a recommended backsplash clearance of 2 1/2" because of the spout (with the decorative finial on the back) swivel of 120 degrees. Hi, Roger! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this Delta 4197-DST faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. how do I remove from feed hose

Magnet docking

I am having a difficult time finding anything on this faucet that acts as if its a magnet to doc the wand pull out. Has this been eliminated by the this type pull out? I literally have to shove the wand back in to seat it

How does the pull out arm work? Do you just pull it out and it fits back in place?

I just had this faucet installed with our new granite counter tops. I love the look, but, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information in the owner's manual/installation guide.

Hi Trezy, Thank you for your question. The pull out wand does simply pull out for use. You will then slide the wand back into the spout when finished. The weight under the counter will help with the hose when returning the wand to the spout. The button on the wand will allow you to toggle back and forth between stream and spray modes. Thanks, Dave

Re Cassidy kitchen faucet, I have a replacement retainer part that Delta supplied.   How do u replace this part?

Thank you for your question, Karen! The RP73942 retainer can be reached by first turning the water supplies to the faucet completely off, next remove the wand from the pull-out hose. You will then need to lift the top portion of the spout up and off, while pulling the hose through. The retainer will pull straight out of the lower portion of the spout and off of the hose. Now you can install the new retainer, threading the hose through it, until it sits inside the spout base as well as the upper spout segment. You can not screw the wand back on and turn on the shut-off supplies. Had this faucet about 4 years now & the past few months we have water leaking under sink intermitinly. Finally saw it is leaking from the cold water line within the body of faucet. This should'nt be happening after only 4 years of service. Please advise.

This may sound like a silly question, but this was installed by a contractor for me, and I am wondering if he got the cold and hot backward. When the handle is vertical should the water be hot or cold?

Don't know about 9197T-RB-DST, but 4197-RB-DST does not come with escutcheon plate. And this would be the only negative thing i would have to say is that it is pricey. around $65
