Rated 5 out of 5 by from Luxury and utility in this stunning faucet! I received this product complimentary from Delta and Influenster in return for my honest review. This is a gorgeous faucet!! It is BIG, as in tall and HEAVY. It is th prettiest piece of hardware I’ve ever seen. Pictures do not even do it justice. You will have to be sure you have a deep, big sink to install this bad boy. It is 8.75 inches tall . . . Luckily, my utility sink in my laundry needed a serious upgrade and this is IT! Deckplate has to be purchased separately. Water flow is powerful, love the sprayer which is held in place with a strong magnet. This faucet has everything you need!

It’s a one in all type of sink. I really like the pressure the water has when it come out. I also really like that it has more than one water setting. I like that I don’t need extra handles to use all the functions it has. It’s got good esthetics and it works well. All I have left is to buy some covers for the holes left from the previous faucet to make it functional. Overall I think it’s a great faucet and I really like how simple it is! Definitely a keeper!

can the handle be switched from the right to the left?

Hi, Roger! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this Delta 4197-DST faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. delta faucet 4197: is this metal or plastic? Which is less shiney, polished nickle or artic stainless?

Hello FarmGirl, Thank you for your question. The Delta Cassidy Pull-Out Kitchen 4197-DST faucet body and hub are brass, the wand/sprayer assembly is non-metallic. The Arctic Stainless features cooler metallic icy tones. how do I remove from feed hose

Hi, Michael. Thank you for your question. The Delta 4197-DST faucet hose can be fed through the faucet by first removing the spout assembly. There is a small button on the back of the spout. While pushing in the button, twist and pull up on the spout to remove. The hose can be fed through. Best Regards, Rosanna

Magnet docking

I am having a difficult time finding anything on this faucet that acts as if its a magnet to doc the wand pull out. Has this been eliminated by the this type pull out? I literally have to shove the wand back in to seat it

Does this faucet have MagnaTite docking? Is the faucet made entirely out of metal?

I'm wondering how this faucet docks after pulling out the sprayer and putting it back in. How well does it stay in place, does it have MagnaTite docking? Also I'm wondering what material the faucet is made from? I am looking for a faucet with very shiny chrome and am having a hard time telling how shiny the chrome finish is in the picture. When I compare it to other brands, their pictures look more shiny.

Hi Andimay, Thank you for your questions! It does not have MagnaTite docking, but does have tabs on the wand that slide onto slots in the hub to keep the wand stable when it is docked. The wand assembly is non-metallic, but the spout body and handle are metal. Our Chrome finish has a bright, shiny polish. Best regards, Jon

The Home Depot video says this faucet swivels 360 degrees. What part of the the faucet swivels 360 degrees? Is it the acutal faucet or the water control?

Hot/Cold lever seems backward

We just built our new home and had this faucet installed. I love the classy look and cross handles we chose; however the lever that controls the hot and cold seems backwards to me. When it is lying down toward me, I can see the letter "C". I would assume this means "Cold" but when I turn it on in that position the water is hot. Vice versa the other way. My husband checked the water lines and they are connected blue to cold and red to hot so that is not the issue. Is this just how the lever is designed?

on CASSIDY 4197-C2-DST , how do you replace the valve cylinder, once you have the handle removed? what holds the valve in place? Any special tools needed?

Once the handle of the Delta Cassidy Pull-Out Kitchen 4197-CZ-DST faucet is removed, you would remove the cap and unscrew the bonnet nut from around the the valve cartridge. I am trying to match pendant lights with the faucet. All lights are either brushed chrome or brushed nickle. The faucet is called stainless.

What are the major distinctions between 4197 RB DST and 4353 RB DST?

Appearance wise they are identical but with a $175.00 difference.

Hi Rich, Thank you for your question. The main difference is in the styling of the faucet. Both faucets are single handle pullouts in the venetian bronze finish . The Cassidy model 4197-RB-DST has an integrated handle with the Euro motion cartridge and more intricate design. The Linden model 5353-RB-DST has more of a transitional design. How does the pull out arm work? Do you just pull it out and it fits back in place?

I just had this faucet installed with our new granite counter tops. I love the look, but, there doesn't seem to be a lot of information in the owner's manual/installation guide.

Hi Trezy, Thank you for your question. The pull out wand does simply pull out for use. You will then slide the wand back into the spout when finished. The weight under the counter will help with the hose when returning the wand to the spout. The button on the wand will allow you to toggle back and forth between stream and spray modes. Thanks, Dave

Re Cassidy kitchen faucet, I have a replacement retainer part that Delta supplied.   How do u replace this part?

Thank you for your question, Karen! The RP73942 retainer can be reached by first turning the water supplies to the faucet completely off, next remove the wand from the pull-out hose. You will then need to lift the top portion of the spout up and off, while pulling the hose through. The retainer will pull straight out of the lower portion of the spout and off of the hose. Now you can install the new retainer, threading the hose through it, until it sits inside the spout base as well as the upper spout segment. You can not screw the wand back on and turn on the shut-off supplies. Had this faucet about 4 years now & the past few months we have water leaking under sink intermitinly. Finally saw it is leaking from the cold water line within the body of faucet. This should'nt be happening after only 4 years of service. Please advise.
