Design Flaw - Faucet Swing
The faucet quality is great, with the exception of one design flaw. The range of swing is poorly suited for a double-basin with disposal sink. If the handle is centered during installation, the limited swing doesn't cover the large basin while "over-swinging" the disposal basin.

Q&A
Does the tip of the faucet have internal female threads? Size?
Is it possible to use this faucet with the Whedon sprayer-aerator SU6c? The stock model screws into 15/16 - 27 screw threads at the tip of the faucet (I think adapters for different sizes are available). If this will work, would I need to remove the supplied 1.5 gpm aerator as mentioned in another question?
Hi RiponEric, Thank you for your question. The thread size on the RP54977 cache aerator that comes with the model 4453-DST faucet is 13/16". We do not offer an aerator adapter that fits this thread size.

I would like to know if there is way to connect a portable dishwasher to this faucet.
Am I able to change the aerator to a standard one that will attach to a portable dishwasher?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model 4453-DST has an aerator that measures 13/16" and if your portable dishwasher will fit this, then you should be fine. We do not offer an adapter for this size aerator.

How do I remove the aereator from the faucet?
We have hard water minerals that build up over time in the aereators and have to clean them from time to time. This faucet does not have the type of aereator we are accustomed to. We just had it installed. Please advise.
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 4453-DST has a cache aerator that is hidden from view. It does require a special wrench that is included with your faucet when you purchase it. If this wrench has been lost, you can order another one through your local wholesaler or retailer. The part number is RP52217.

faucet and handle are misaligned
Just bought a home, it has this faucet installed. The faucet and the handle are misaligned, with the handle turned to the right by about 30-45 degrees. I was able to remove the lever by loosening the setscrew, but was not able to determine how to rotate the cap/bonnet/valve so that the handle would be aligned with the faucet. Ideas? It works fine, just bugs me about the alignment thing

Thank you for your question. The position of the handle is determined by the installation of the valve. The valve body can be aligned by loosening the mounting screws and nut under the sink, rotating the faucet, and then re-tightening the nut.

Does the handle swivel to the right and left for cold and hot water and can you adjust for warm water
4453-AR-DST. Am thinking about buying this one but have this big concern. Also I have 2" space between raised countertop and faucet handle I have now. Specs say need 2 1/2. If handle swivels, would this still be a problem?

Thank you for your question. The handle will tilt up to turn the water on and right/left to adjust the temperature. We recommend that there be 2 1/2" from the center of the faucet to the back splash.

Thank you for your question, BarbaraC! The Delta model 4453-AR-DST will work with an undermount as well as top mounted sink. Our products are manufactured to fit standard applications. However, we do manufacture extension kits for granite for some of our models. This information is normally located in the technical specifications sheet for each model. This model will require 2 1/2"(64 mm) Max. deck thickness.

Is there an adapter available for this faucet that will work with a PUR faucet mount water filter system?
I tried all of the adapters that came with the kit plus extra ones that PUR gave me but none are exactly right. Is there one available for this faucet?

For faucet 4453-ss-dst - Linden series ? I want more
water flow. This comes with a 1.8 aerator and I want to
change over to the 2.2. Will it fit this faucet? Will It take a
different wrench than the one that came in the box?
Hi Doug, Thank you for your question. The RP46117 will not work in the model 4453-SS-DST, the thread patterns on the cache aerators are different. RP64078 with a 2.2gpm flowrate will work for you.

Faucet Finishes
I have a 4453-AR, I'm not sure of the finish that I have. I need to order a single mount escutcheon & gasket. What is the difference between the stainless steel and the arctic stainless steel. The pictures don't show enough detail for me to identify which I have. I updating counter tops and want to have a single mount. I can take a photo of what I have if that will help.

Hi RLB, Thank you for your question. The AR in the model number stands for the arctic finish, SS would be the brilliance stainless. The SS finish has a gold hue to it, comparable to brushed nickel. The arctic stainless has a blue tint that matches with stainless appliances. The part for the single mount would be the RP60692AR.

Water supply adaptor
I am installing a Linden touch kitchen faucet and the water supply connections are too small. My water supply hoses are 3/4 and the Linden is 1/2. Do you have an adaptor kit?

Hi Jeff, Thank you for your question. The supply lines that come with the faucet are 3/8" compression threads. They are made to attach directly to the shut off valves/ water stops under the sink. In your picture you are trying to connect them to your 1/2" faucet supply line. Check the other end where your existing supply line attaches to the shut off. Most often if you remove your supply line the new line from the faucet will make that connection. If you have to attach to your existing faucet supply line you will need a 1/2" MIP to 3/8" compression adapter to make the connection. We do not offer this adapter. The adapter should be available at your local hardware or home center.

The base plate shanks are 1 inch and the predrilled counter top holes are only 7/8 do you make a base plate without the shanks?

The sprayer button gets stuck in the on position. I have to pull the button out to stop the flow. Is there a way to repair/clean the button so it works? Or will it need to be replaced?

Need a one hole baseplate vs current three hole plate.
Having new granite counters installed with under mount sink. Installer told me to ask Delta for a one-hole faucet base plate in lieu of the current three-hole faucet base plate. This is regarding our Delta faucet 4453-RB-DST 1-handle faucet with spray.

Hi Jessycae, Thank you for your question. The easiest way to get warm water is to start out at a high flow of water with the handle pushed all the way back and set to your desired temperature. Then pull the handle forward to the lower water volume.

Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, we do not make water filters for this unit. However, you should be able to find water filters locally at a plumbing or hardware store. You may also need to adapt the spout to work with the filter. If so, the spout has 13/16"-27 female threads.

Delta Linden 4453-DST faucet not rotating smoothly. Typically there is an O ring that can be replaced or lubed with silicone. I don't see anything like that in the diagram for this faucet. Is there a way to lubricate it so it swings side to side smoothly?
