Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size Easy to use, however sink holes had to be reamed out a little to fit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good functions, well thought our features. Product works well as designed. The adjustable flow control for spray or stream is easy to use and the pull out extension is secure and versatile. My source for this faucet was a local plumbing contractor so the cost was quite expensive. Had it professionally installed and everything works great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bad design of interior parts This could be a nice simple faucet, except the plastic piece at the end of the pull-out handle quickly becomes impossible to fit back into its slot. This should be made out of a different material or redesigned to work after a month.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta's 470-DST faucet is Simple, Elegant&Sturdy. This is my third Delta 470-DST. I received a new faucet after 12 years on the first warranty and a replacement part for a warranty repair on the second faucet. I decided to get a brand new 470-DST faucet and pay for it's installation rather than installation of the part. I'll keep the part. The faucets are quality, well priced and the design works well in many kitchens. I recommend this faucet. Hard to get Chrome finish in Calif so I was lucky to find one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacement. This faucet is an exact replacement (only w/DST) for one I have had in my kitchen that had been in service for 14-1/2 years. I am a retired Building Professional and I installed this faucet. The installation went well.

Q&A

Where can I find disassembly instructions for this faucet?

Asked by: JD Frye
Thank you for your question, JD Frye! Uninstalling this model will involve shutting both the hot and cold water supplies off below the counter. Turn the handle to the full mixed position to drain any remaining water out of the faucet and place a large drip pan below the faucet before continuing. Once the Pex lines have been disconnected from the shut off supplies and the pull out hose has been disconnected from the outlet fitting, you would simply unscrew and un-thread the mounting nut on the shank as well as un-threading the lock nuts on the escutcheon shanks if used, then pull the faucet straight up through the counter. If you need further assistance with this please contact our customer service team directly at 1-800-345-3358 Monday-Friday: 8a.m.-8p.m. EST and Saturday: 9a.m.-6p.m. EST or via email at customerservice@deltafaucet.com. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/X00076075_C.pdf Best regards, Edward

Hi I bought my faucet in 2003 how do I know whether its a model 470 or 472? Is the 472 longer? What are the dimensions? Thanks

Asked by: Barb
Thank you for your question, Barb! If your faucet was installed in 2003, you would not have the DST version of this faucet. The DST version of this faucet, was not introduced until 2009. Model 470 takes an RP28898 lever handle, and model 472 takes an RP32183 loop handle. I have included a link to the technical specifications diagram for models 470 and 472, for you to refer to, https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-470_Rev_D.pdf Best Regards, Benjamin

when I look online for a Delta faucet #470DST, the faucet shown is like a 472DST which has a wider base. I need the narrow type faucet. I have checked several different suppliers. David Irvin

Asked by: d irvin
Hi d irvin! Thank you for your question. Delta model 472-DST and the 470-DST are essentially the same and both part of the Signature collection, however model 472-DST is used to designate the standard Signature model using the optional escutcheon plate along with the loop handle. The bases are exactly the same width. (1 15/16") Thanks, Antoine

hose leaks under sink, no drip from faucet

The black water feed hose under the sink leaks from the top of the connection. Would this be a problem with the faucet connection or the plumbing connecting the small hose under the collar bracing the hose to the sink? We are going to replace parts since the faucet is already partially taken apart. Does the base also come apart
Asked by: Maureen
Hi, Maureen. Thank you for your question. The base does come apart by turning off the water to your faucet first. You're then able to remove your handle assembly by using a 1/8" allen wrench to unscrew the set screw. Take the handle off and then unscrew the cap assembly. Then, you're able to take the hub/base off of the valve. Best Regards, Rosanna

What clip to use for attaching pull out handle to faucet water line?

From the information on your webpage I think the faucet is a Signature 470-DST, 470-WE-DST or 472-DST. The pull out handle uses some type of clip at the end to attach to the water line coming from the faucet. From the parts diagrams it looks like part # RP60911 is the part. Can you verify this? Attached are a couple of photos of the faucet and the connection I'm trying to repair with this part. Thanks.
Asked by: Paul
Hi Paul, Thank you for your question. Based on your photographs you have an older non-DST version of the 470/472. The correct clip to use on your hose connection is the RP32522. I have attached a link to the parts breakdown of the model 470 below to help with your repair. 470-DST Constant Drip

We were having a constant drip and purchased an off name repair kit from Home Depot (although Delta faucets were included as one of the brands it was for). My husband replaced most of the workings, but now it not only drips, but continues a tiny stream of water after turning it off unless you lift the handle at a certain degree and angle. So was the repair not done correctly, or is there something else we're missing?
Asked by: Cat
HI Cat, Thank you for your question! You will need to order and install genuine Delta parts. Even though it is stated on the package that it will work the generic parts will not. The are not manufactured exactly the same. Best regards, Brandis

What is the difference between the 470-DST and 472-DST kitchen faucets?

Asked by: Remmie
Hi, Remmie! Thank you for your question. The difference for the two units is within the handle, itself. The 470-DST has a solid metal lever handle. The 472-DST has a hollow loop in the handle which is ADA compliant so that the user can loop a ribbon through the handle so that the handle can be moved up and down and left and right in a sitting position if needed.
