Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Faucet We actually purchased two of these (Delta 470-DST) at different times; both were black: one for our kitchen and one for our laundry room. We have had several complements on the faucets. We also purchased two matching soap dispensers (Kohler K-9619). My wife has commented several times that she enjoys the utility of the pressure of both settings, regular stream and spray in the kitchen and laundry room sinks. They work better than our previous faucets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Sticky Black Goop We have had to replace the hose on this model once already. Now sticky black goop is coming out of the faucet into our drinking water. When I took off the hand sprayer it was filled with sticky black goop the consistency of wood glue, The agent at Delta told us that the hose lining in this model has a history of breaking down and clogging up the hand sprayer. Her solution offered no apology. However, she gave us the tip to soak the hand sprayer in vinegar and water. I have no idea how long we have been filling up our ice trays and drinking glasses with the lining of the hose,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best faucet we ever had at past home. We moved a few months ago where we had this Delta model faucet for 10years. It was on a treated well but 1/2 of the water coming through the faucet was untreated well water. Our prior faucet was an expensive German brand which cost in the $500 range. I remember this well since my husband "had a fit" when he saw what I paid for the faucet. It lasted 2 years and the manufacturer's help was to tell us to purchase a new one! Our Delta faucet had an issue after 5 years and Delta's response was to send us an entire replacement faucet honoring their lifetime warranty! We are currently looking for a new Delta faucet for the condo we just purchased!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I like this faucet a lot but have 2 minor complaints: 1. The style lever/valve that Delta faucets have makes it very difficult to get the right temperature. It is either too hot or not hot enough. You have to give it a slight "tap" to get it right where you want -way too touchy. 2. In certain positions, the faucet makes a high pitched singing noise. Not loud but it annoys my wife.

However, after just 5 years we are replacing it because of the problems previously listed: leaking & corrosion and the whole thing is no good. We bought Delta because we thought is would last, but even before this faucet completely went kaput, the finish started wearing off--at about age 2. Really? I'd like to think faucets last longer than this. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Experience I replaced my faucet with the same identical faucet. It came in a timely manner and is the exact same faucet. I would definately make purchases again from this company. One improvement that could be made is to let the customer know that Delta guarantees their product for life and I did not realize that until I received my new faucet. However, I sent the old faucet to Delta and they are reimbursing me for the purchase of my new faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor design We are now ready for yet another replacement of this faucet. The push button that allows you to go from spray to regular keeps falling off because the clips are plastic and just don't hold up. Keep looking for a different faucet ... you don't want this one.

I caught it in time to avoid water damage to the inside of cabinet where it leaks when you dont have it pulled out and wount notice it leaking.Looks good but not worth the money and the damage it can cause.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking faucet We have only had the Delta 470 DST installed for a month but so far it is working great (the water output is wonderful) and looks great. I have a white solid surface sink and had a Moen white faucet before. I was never happy with the output of water and the finish turned yellow over time so I decided I would go with a Delta chrome faucet this time. I was a little apprehensive about how chrome would look with my white sink --but I am very happy with it. With care in keeping the water wiped off of it after use, it seems like it will stay nice and shiny. We did pay a very good reputable plumber to install it for us which I feel is important. I am trusting Delta that it will be a faucet we will be enjoying for a long time to come.

Cannot locate a replacement handle without buying a complete unit. This faucet does not carry a lifetime warranty as stated on the box.

We had it for 2 years after which it started a slow leak, followed a few months later by the handle breaking off as its made of cheap plastic...this caused the hose to spray at my wife.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not So Great Faucet reach was not as expected and does not work well with a large sink. Swivel is limited which also affects faucet reach. Water shuts off only when faucet is aligned in the middle - otherwise the water continues to run (but it it so quiet you may not notice). Enough dripping down the faucet to create a pool of water after each use. Looks good, low profile, stainless matches fridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Go with Delta! Ordered Delta single handle kitchen faucet with pull-up spray to replace an old one which leaked after 10 years. Best price at the time. Processing and shipping were prompt. Took 30-40min to replace/install on my own and the product looks/works nicely. The best part was when I learned Delta faucet's lifetime warranty we called Delta and confirmed! Got 100% reimbursed from Delta within a week after I shipped the old one back! Now I feel good since all faucets in my house are Delta brand throughout.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed My second purchase of this item. The first one bought a couple of years ago started leaking. Bought the repair valve insert but it does not work in my older unit. Also bought a whole new faucet presumed to be identical to my old one but that is only in what you see above the sink. Old one had nice flexible metal braided hoses, easy to install. The new one has stiff plastic hose and I haven't worked up the wherewithall to attempt the installation. Might have to just call in a plumber or jury rig the installation if the plastic tubing kinks. I guess like every other manufacturer. cost saving changes are never ending.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delta 470 Promo worst experienece with this faucet. 1. 2 yrs ago. water leaked through the pull out pipe. damaged entire basement sealing. had to spend 1000 in fixing basement and 160 + (80 installation) for a new delta faucet. Biggest mistake I made in purchasing the same model. 2. 1 year ago had problem with clogged tube and delta promptly sent me replacement for free. 3. today 10/15/2010 we just realized that the pipe is leaking again and to my shock basement sealing is wet again. I will never buy a delta in my life again. I am writing this review while fixing the faucet. Just imaging my frustration. Thanks for reading !

Its beauty is apparent, but in a plumbing fixture, I am of course most concerned with quality, durability, and functionality. Upon inspection and installation of this faucet, its quality, design, and construction seem exceptional. And it functions better than any other kitchen faucet I have owned (I'm approaching 70). I'll have get back about durability, but the description of Delta's "diamond seal" technology--claimed to make the valve function ten times longer than the industry standard--may not be exaggerated based on how effortlessly and well the valve operates. I'm sorry if this review sounds too good to be true, but I'm really impressed with the quality and design of this faucet and would like to get the word out.

Have used it for a month without any leaking or issues. Good basic, simple faucet. Dependable. Can be installed without the white base plate. Plumber says Delta has life-time replacement warranty.

I hope this doesn't turn into a need for a repair. Other than that I'm very pleased with the style and function of the faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great, Looks great Installed unit as soon as I received it. I had a Delta single handle pull out spray faucet before that was leaking after a couple of years. I scratched the finish on it in a futile attempt to remove and replace the old cartridge. Decided to go with stainless steel finish this time. I like the new design cartridge and should be able to service it easily when the time comes. Unit is working great and looks awesome.

Do you make a reverse osmosis faucet (smaller faucet off to side) in arctic stainless that will go with 470-ar-dst?

Wand Shutoff??

Does the pull out “wand assembly” have a water shut-off button? That is, can you shut the water flow completely OFF from the wand assembly?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 470-AR-DST has a handle on the back of the faucet. The only way to completely shut off the water is to use the handle. The spray wand will switch from spray to stream but not turn the water off completely. We do manufaucture touch faucets that can be shut off by touching the spout.

Is there a flow restricter I can remove? (I have low water pressure)

Hi Jkflip, Thank you for your question. There is not a removable flow restrictor in the model 470-AR-DST. The flow rate is controlled by the aerator which on this model is 1.8 gallons per minute. You can switch out the aerator to one with a higher flow rate, the RP53998 flows at 2.2 gpm and will fit this model. Thanks, Dave http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp53998.html

Cache aerator adapter

My 470-DTS has cache (hidden internally) aerator. Need to know specification for the aerator thread size to convert it to most common 15/16"-27 or 55/64-27" thread. Thank you.
