Water flow pressure

Q&A
I bought this to complement our Delta Trinsic bathroom faucet, but it seems like the two have opposite functionally where this one moves DOWN for hot and the bathroom faucet moves UP for hot. Is this correct?

Thank you for your question. Both Delta 9159-BL-DST and the Trinsic bathroom faucets should move out to turn on and give cold water. Pulling the handle towards you and down will give hot water.

My GC installed this faucet. When it's pulled out it just hanges there. What is wrong with it?

Thank you for your question. The hose assembly of the Delta Trinsic Bar/Prep 9959-DST faucet will hang from the spout, if pulled out, until it is push back up to the magnet at the end of the spout. Our Pull-Out/Down faucet are not designed with retractable hose assemblies.

Can the 6-inch escutcheon RP77702 be used with the 9959-DST faucet?

Thank you for your question. The Delta RP77702 escutcheon plate will not fit with the Delta 9959-DST faucet. The only escutcheon plate that will work for this faucet is RP64070.

How far over sink does it project?
Without using the pull-out, how far over the sink does the faucet extend? In other words, what is the distance from the hole in the counter to the stream of water? I need a faucet that will clear the edge of my sink and not be too close

Flow rate
I had this faucet installed in a kitchen remodel. It's beautiful and looks great in my kitchen. It works great in "spray" mode, but in the "regular" flow seems very slow/weak to me. Could something be wrong with the faucet, or the installation? I read in one of the customer reviews that the flow seems to be somewhat of a "low flow". I'm just wondering if this is intended, or if we did something wrong. Thanks!
The wand assembly probably needs to be taken apart and cleaned. There is a YouTube video illustrating this. Here are the steps:
1. Use small screw driver at top of button to pop it off.
2. Remove the Phillips head set screw.
3. Slide interior assembly down slightly to expose set screw hole in small plastic "cam" piece.
4. Pop out (from bottom) the small plastic "cam" piece.
5. Slide interior assembly down to completely remove.
6. Unscrew the bottom part (about 1/2" long) of interior assembly.
7. Clean both parts of interior assembly (this will be obvious!). Reassemble the wand assembly by repeating the above steps in reverse order.
Replace the button (last reassembly step) by pushing in bottom part first. If button does not work, remove and try again. This took me several tries. Here is the link to the YouTube video, which is not mine, but was very helpful:

what excusion do i need to cover 2 other holes 1 on each side

What type of cleaner do you recommend for the Artic Stainless finish?

Here is the cleaning and care information for our Delta products below:
Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward.
If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use.
Avoid using the following which can damage your finish:
Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner.
Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents.
Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes

Would "Venetian Bronze" color accessaries go with Matte Black?

Does anyone know the how far the hand spray extends? I'm looking for one that extends at least 24".
Once the 54" hose that it comes with is installed, how much of that hose can be extended from the faucet? If I substitute it with the 62" hose, are you saying that it will only extend 18-22" from the faucet? I am looking for a faucet that has approx. 24" extension to reach cooktop next to sink. Thank you for your question. Unfortunately none of our kitchen sink faucets are specifically designed to be installed outdoors. They are not designed to withstand extreme cold weather conditions (freezing) or direct sunlight from the sun in the summer months.
If you do decide to install one of our faucets outdoors, then please remember that our warranty only covers manufactures defects. Damage incurred to the faucet by the extreme weather conditions are not covered by our warranty program.

How do I adjust the temperature on a single handle faucet like this?
I have one in a new house we bought. It starts out cold but soon turns to hot. We can't figure out how to adjust the temp.

Thank you for your question. You will want to make sure to move the handle away from the faucet to turn on the water. When the handle is out, the water should be all cold. When you move the handle closer to you, the water should get warmer until the handle is towards you, it should be at the hottest position.

What is the difference between a bar/prep faucet and a kitchen faucet? I like this model but want it for my main kitchen sink and I'm wondering if it would work for that?
Thank you for your question, Brett! The Delta Trinsic Faucet models 9159-DST and 9959-DST are the same faucets, with the 9959-DST just being a smaller version of the kitchen faucet. The only reason we would not recommend using the 9959-DST is it may not have the reach that you would like to all corners of the sink. However, it would be a personal preference of the homeowner or installer.

Thank you for your question! The spout, body, and handle are metal. The valve consists of a Diamond Seal Technology (DST) cartridge with a brass bonnet nut. The supply lines are PEX tubing.

Thank you for your question and I am sorry to hear that the touch function is no longer working for your faucet. There is a battery pack located under the sink connected to the solenoid assembly. Batteries can be replaced with either 6 AA batteries or 6 C batteries.

How do I clean the aerator screen on a 9159-AR-DS
Thank you for your question, Dave! The Delta model 9159-AR-DST does not have a removable aerator. Typically, we recommend using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water applied to a rag. This spray wand also includes Touch-clean spray holes.

Can the handle be moved to the front?

Ive decided on this faucet but wonder what the difference is between the colours. I am torn between arctic stainless, chrome or stainless black. I have a grey granite sink. Is arctic stainless matte and chrome shiny?Is black a charcoal grey ?
Thank you for your review, Sharon! The Chrome finish will always be reflective or mirror-like. The Arctic Stainless Steel finish is a brushed finish with a cooler blue tone than our typical Stainless Steel. Black Stainless is also less reflective but darker than Stainless or Arctic Stainless.

How far will the pull-out reach?
Water flow can be very strong, in fact it is hard not to spend so much water. It is not normal to open gently, meaning first you pull out lots of water come out. It doesn't pull out that far to be a problem. I would not recommend the ergonomics of this faucet, I have it and I am stuck with it.

Available in regular stainless steel?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9159-AR-DST is not available in Stainless Steel. The Artic Stainless finish was designed to replace stainless steel in the kitchen and it more closely resembles the stainless steel finish of appliances out in the market today. It has a bluish tint to it and the stainles steel is more gold tinted. The Stainless Steel finish will remain in the bath faucets to match accessories there.

As part of a kitchen remodel, I had the 9959-DST installed. I was running the disposal and the handle came off and got a bit chewed up by the disposal before I could turn it off. I need to replace the handle. What’s the part number I need? Arctic silver?
