Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not sure it was worth it To start off, I like the design, the pull out sprayer, the touch, etc. I really want to love this faucet but it has to many flaws. I had to replace the LED light and the solenoid all in the first month. Customer service was great and they actually tried to troubleshoot with me before sending me replacement parts. But, finding out parts are not working after professional installation, what a pain. It's not easy to take this back off to replace the LED light and I don't want to pay the plumber to come back out just to replace the one part. So, if everything is working correctly I would recommend this faucet. I would recommend plugging the LED light in and checking to make sure it works before tightening and final installation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta Faucet 9178T-AR-DST Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet with Touch2O This faucet has worked well until now. All of a sudden we have leaking both below the sink and from the faucet itself. The leaking seems to come on somewhat slowly (after the sink has been on about 15 seconds). After trying to pinpoint the exact spot, we noticed multiple leaks: 1) at the top where the water sprays out of the head (it seems to trickle down from there--I'm guessing because it no longer fully clicks completely to maintain independence from spray to stream and vice versa), 2) at the mid-part of the faucet where it detaches and the hose is revealed, and 3) the water is either collecting or also leaking at the base where it meets the granite. I also noticed water underneath the sink in the cabinet space; enough to make me a little nervous changing the batteries. If that persists, mold is next. We need to either repair or replace the issues. Has anyone else had this problem?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love the touch technology My husband and I never planned on having touch technology, but a sales rep highly recommended it. We have LOVED it!!! It's easy to use & is extremely handy when your hands are messy, which is almost always. The overall quality of the faucet is excellent. The magnet that keeps the retractable head attached is high quality & works great. We would highly recommend this faucet. That being said, we were very surprised & disappointed that the touch technology feature malfunctioned after only 4 months; whatever happened (the solenoid had to be replaced) not only affected the touch aspect, but the whole faucet malfunctioned---sometimes it would only trickle, sometimes not at all, then all of a sudden, it was full-strength for a minute before it trickled again. Customer service was excellent. The solenoid part was under warranty, but we did have to pay a plumber to install it. The plumber told us that, although the Delta faucet has a lifetime warranty (one reason we bought it), the solenoid' warranty is only 5 years & he said sometimes that affects the whole faucet's functioning. So that's a big disappointment to hear.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great design, and when it works - it's impressive! When this faucet works, it's really cool. I've started touching everyone's faucets thinking they will turn off/on like this one is SUPPOSED to do... We've had this faucet for about 18 months, but, now the water will not completely turn off with touch. We have to turn the faucet off manually. (The faucet thinks it is off, and will continue to trickle out water when it should be done.) Also, the blue light no longer works... It sounds silly, but why does the red light work, but not the blue one? I tried changing the batteries, and that didn't help anything.

I found it much easier to install than I expected and it looks fantastic! To top it off, the pull down head I received was the wrong finish for the faucet, but Deltas customer service sent me a new one to match in record time. I couldn't be happier with the purchase and entire experience!

We have used this particular faucet style in many of our projects but this was the first time we had used this model with the touch feature. We installed the product a few days ago and it has been a hit. The subcontractors on the job were so impressed with how easy it was to use they all said they would like one for their house. Most importantly the clients love the functionality and the finish is the superb quality we expect from Delta. I will buy it again!

We are still in the construction phase, but needed to go ahead and purchase a faucet and this one is perfect. It's exactly what I have been looking for, and the price was great. I cannot wait to use it. It was well packaged, ordered it about 7pm one night, and it was shipped and arrived to my home within one day. I was surprised how fast the shipping was. The faucet is stylish, beautiful color; not just a typical stainless steel, and seems to be very good quality materials as it is pretty heavy. We are beyond pleased with this purchase and will continue to buy from build.com.

For some reason now it turns on immediately, but turning off is delayed. By reading some reviews see there is software. Is there anything I should follow to upgrade the software or a sequence to restore the faucet to original on and off touch mode. Still loving it just need a little help.

Unfortunately, it no longer functions properly. We changed the battery pack and it worked well for a day or two but then stopped working. Again, I replaced the batteries and the unit does not work. I watched your installation movie and it appears that our plumber installed the unit correctly. Please let me know what I need to try to try to have the unit function properly. Your assistance will be appreciated. Chuck

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the Concept When we installed the faucet it didn't work. The water flow was a trickle only to be exceeded by the dripping when you turned it off using the touch feature. Needless to say I was disappointed. After calling Customer Service (which was excellent) a new solenoid was shipped. A week later I had the part and we installed it. It fixed the problem. I love the touch on and off feature. It's wonderful. The water flow still seems on the slower side to me compared to other faucets. Checking the water pressure to the faucet was one of the first things we did and that was good. I guess it's just something to get used to. I rated the faucet as Good and not Excellent because it's design is nothing exceptional but it is good quality and not excellent because I had to replace a part immediately. Performance, slow water flow. I would buy another Delta faucet because of the outstanding customer service. I just hope I don't have to call upon them too often.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from We love the touch technology but... We have had nothing but issues with this faucet since installing in February of this year. At first it kept turning on and off by itself and the light didn't work consistently. After two follow up visits from the plumbers it was determined the faucet needed to be replaced. After replacing it appeared the issues were corrected. However, this week it started turning on again by itself and the blue light, that indicates the water is cold, is no longer working at all. I have referred the issue to my builder but at this point I am thinking I may need another replacement faucet or a completely different faucet altogether.

After dismantle the old faucet to prepare for the instal we were excited to have a new faucet in place. Everything worked fine for about 2 minutes then the light stopped working, the touch still works but one of the main features is defective. Now I'm stuck, I can't just tear it out and return because I bought it online. My bad, I expected it to work.....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional Review Being in the plumbing industry for over 15 years, It is a great faucet easy to install and maintain. The customer service from delta has always been great getting parts out to me and local representation in the LA area. For those who do buy a touch faucet and have a metal sink, ( stainless, cast iron, ect.) you must make sure that the shank does not touch any part of the sink insulate with something if you cant install with out it touching the metal. Otherwise the touch feature will short and will not work. I have one and installed one in my mothers house who's has a hard time with arthritis and work great. On hers i had to insulate the shank it kept touching the sink.

We had our kitchen redone and this faucet installed as part of that three months ago. We love the faucet, its design and function. What happened two weeks ago was that the base LED started just displaying red only and would flicker out when going to cold. I called Delta and talked to a wonderful person who was very helpful, who diagnosed that the LED base went bad. He sent me a new base unit and the solenoid unit (at no charge) as he said there was a more recent software version. Yes, even our faucets get software updates. I am working with my original kitchen designer to see if they will come out to replace this for me so I can't say at this point if the issue is resolved. Just reporting where we are as of receiving an email to provide a rating today, 7-14-16.

Appreciate the warranty, but the 2nd solenoid failed and faucet was inoperable until I had to wrestle with bypassing the solenoid when we had house guests. The solenoid just installed only lights the LED indicator on hot water (red). The magenta light does not come on at all.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look and use of faucet not convinced on the touch I bough this over a month ago and wanted to give the chance for the touch feature to warrant itself. I am not sold on the feature yet. It is nice when you are washing dishes. It is trouble some for those one time uses when you want a cold glass of water the faucet will be set to warm so you move it to cold and it shuts off so you have to double tap the faucet. Not the end of the world. Also troublesome when you pull the faucet out to spray something and when you return the faucet it shuts off.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks nice, not sold on worth the cost I would have rated this faucet at 5 stars when it was new, but 6 months later I just can't do it. The batteries only last a few months, then no water until replaced or disconnect the touch. The switch from stream to spray doesn't engage fully. So when we have it in spray mode, there is a constant, slight stream in the middle of the spray. We chose this faucet as part of a 75K kitchen remodel and we deliberately used high quality components throughout. We thought this would fit right in and last a very long time. When it works, it's great. My wife loves the touch functionality. But replacing batteries and fiddling with the spray switch constantly have soured me.

Can I rotate the on/off handle portion to the front to use? My backsplash is too close to rotate the hold cold lever when it's turned on.

Hi, Nate! Thank you for your question. The minimum clearance to back splash for the Delta 9178T-RB-DST is 2 1/2&quot; (64 mm). We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on the front, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. Most single handle kitchen faucets have the handle on the right. &nbsp;Are there any Delta kitchen faucets that come with a handle on the left

Hello Kmel, Thank you for your question. We recommend installing the side mounted handled faucets with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on the front or left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. Can you recommend a drain that would match the bronze finish?

My faucet has a low water flow. How do I increase the pressure?

Hi, Ken! Thank you for your question. The faucet gives a 1.8 gpm. If you are getting less than a 1.8 gpm flow rate, we recommend to flush the line to make sure no debris is clogging the sprayer. You can also soak the sprayer in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water mixture for an hour to clean. 2 questions - Does the touch on/off work if the faucet handle is in the off position, the on position or both? &nbsp;If the handle is in the off position, at what temperature setting does the water come on?
