Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet
Purchased and paid to install in July 2025.
Leaks from handle so they sent me a new cartridge but I need to pay some one to install. Crazy to believe a relatively expensive faucet would last less than 1 year.

Faucet dead when batteries die
Could not believe my faucet would not work when batteries died!! I have wanted a touch to activate faucet for so long (I hate trying to turn on the faucet when I have raw meat on my hands). I was so excited after installing this, which, by the way, was pretty easy. Then to have it not work after only 2 months because the batteries died!! During my husband's birthday party! I was scrambling g to find more AA's wherever I could find them, and after only a month I cannot use my sink AGAIN.
I am going to try the C batteries and fingers crossed it will last more than 2 months.
I will repost if it does work, Delta needs to make this known

Model 9178T-DST. I do not get enough water pressure on my kitchen faucet as it was before. Is any part that I should change or has to be clean inside some where taking it apart? Hope that someone can help me with this issue.

Thank you for your question. We would recommend flushing the supply lines of your faucet. To flush out the valve body, so that these parts do last as long as possible, please first turn off the water supply to the faucet. Gather an adjustable wrench, some towels and a bucket.
Disconnect the hot side Innoflex line. Move the handle to the full on position, middle temp.
Point the hot side Innoflex line into a bucket. Turn on the cold supply valve full.
Let a gallon or two flow into the bucket. Shut off cold supply.
Check bucket for debris. If no debris, empty bucket and run one more time.
Move handle to off position.
Reattach hot side line. Turn on both water supply valves.

What is the difference between Leland model #: 9178T-AR-DST and Model # 9178T SP-DST and the one at Lowe's Model # 9678T- DST? Also Can I order any Delta Kitchen faucet you make through Lowe's, or just select one's?
Thank you for your question, MAUREEN! 9178T-AR-DST and 9178T-SP-DST are the same faucet, but with different finishes. AR is a finish code for Arctic Stainless, and SP is the finish code for Spotshield Brushed Nickle. The 9678T-DST is the bar/prep version of the 9178T-DST. It has the same design as 9178T-DST, but has a shorter height. Certain retailers such as Lowes and Home Depot, have Delta products manufactured exclusively for those retailers. We can not guarantee if a specific retailer has an item in stock. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us directly.

How does the aerator come apart for cleaning?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 9178T-Ar-DST Faucet sprayer assembly does have a removable aerator that can be unscrewed counterclockwise from the face of the sprayer with the RP50815 aerator wrench. Once removed, the aerator, or even the whole sprayer can be soaked in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water for an hour or even overnight to clean debris.

My faucet is hard-wired, but we also have batteries in the battery pack for when our power goes out. My question is, are the batteries being used along with the other? Do I need to take them out and only use when the power is out?

Thank you for your question. The Delta 9178T-SP-DST faucet only uses the back up batteries when the electricity is out and the A/C adapter is not being used. We recommend to keep the back up batteries in place.

Can this be installed with the handle on the left side?

Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install it with the handle on the left, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature.

We would recommend putting the Delta Leland Pull-Down Kitchen 9178T-DST faucet easily into the manual mode, by removing the lid of the battery box while the faucet is running. This will allow you to run water from the faucet, without the 4 minute shut off feature. For putting the faucet in manual mode permanently, please refer to page 17 of the maintenance and installation manual for your model.

If I use the adapter on this model 9178T-SP-DST, what happens should the electricity go out? Or am I missing the point, that this model also can function at all times as a manual non-touch faucet would, by using the hot-cold/water pressure handle?

What is the part number for a 4" center (approx. 6" long) escutcheon plate that matches a Delta Leland 9678T -ST-DST faucet with Spotshield finish? And where can I order one?

Thank you for your question. If you manually turn the faucet off, you would have to manually turn it back on. If the water is left running for 4 minutes with no interaction, it will automatically shut off (as a safety feature).

My Spray Shield button is sticking. Tried soaking it and it has gotten better. It doesn’t stick EVERY time. Just very 5th or 6th time. Have to use pliers to pull out the button. How does one fix this? Is a replacement spray head unit available?
