Rated 2 out of 5 by from Unacceptably poor water flow. Purchased 10/23. Started well but flow at the nozzle is barely more than a trickle now. I’ve cleaned and soaked the filter and nozzle head in a vinegar solution countless times but the flow just continues to decrease. It’s now unacceptable as a functional kitchen faucet. I’m in the market for a replacement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Faucet dead when batteries die Could not believe my faucet would not work when batteries died!! I have wanted a touch to activate faucet for so long (I hate trying to turn on the faucet when I have raw meat on my hands). I was so excited after installing this, which, by the way, was pretty easy. Then to have it not work after only 2 months because the batteries died!! During my husband's birthday party! I was scrambling g to find more AA's wherever I could find them, and after only a month I cannot use my sink AGAIN. I am going to try the C batteries and fingers crossed it will last more than 2 months. I will repost if it does work, Delta needs to make this known

Q&A

My Spray Shield button is sticking. Tried soaking it and it has gotten better. It doesn’t stick EVERY time. Just very 5th or 6th time. Have to use pliers to pull out the button. How does one fix this? Is a replacement spray head unit available?

Leland (9178T-RB-DST) touch faucet. At first install (08/09/2021) the touch functionality worked as designed. I could touch anywhere on the faucet. As of 3 days ago, only touching the base of the faucet is working. I use battery pack and plug.

Asked by: RobbT

Can this faucet be used just as a manual faucet? Right now, I can’t get water if the batteries are dead. My faucet is 4 years old.

Asked by: Prickly1
Hello Prickly1, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 9678T-SP-DST LELAND® Single Handle Pull-Down Bar / Prep Faucet With Touch2O® Technology. I apologize for any difficulty finding this information. We are happy to help! Yes, this faucet can be used manually. One way is with the faucet running water, disconnect the battery pack by opening it. You now have a manually operated faucet. The solenoid was open allowing water to flow through and is now stuck open because you removed the power it would use to close. Reconnecting the battery would close the solenoid and make it electronic again. Also as a second option, the solenoid assembly may be removed, and the wand hose connected directly to the valve outlet tube. a. Open the battery holder cap. b. Disconnect the sensor hook(s) from the spout and/or valve shank. c. Remove the hose clip and hose from the solenoid. d. Remove the solenoid from the valve outlet tube by removing the clip or swinging the clip open. e. Reconnect the hose with the hose clip to the spout outlet nipple. The faucet is now a manually operated pulldown. Please reach out at customerservice@deltafaucet.com or 1-800-345-DELTA if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Best regards, Bryan

The faucet drips after touch shutoff even with new batteries - does the solenoid need to be replaced?

Asked by: Truckeejim
Hello Truckeejim, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company. I am sorry to hear that your Leland® Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® And ShieldSpray® Technologies In Chrome MODEL#: 9178T-DST is leaking, which can be very frustrating. I am so glad that you contacted us, so we can get this taken care of for you! The leak when off you are experiencing appears to be caused by debris within the solenoid assembly. We recommend doing a flush on your electronic components. Please follow the below steps to resolve your drip: 1. Put the handle in the off position. 2. Remove the blue clip that is attached to the top of the solenoid assembly below the sink. 3. Pull the solenoid off of the faucet connection. Remove the debris screen in the top connection if able, and clear any debris with tweezers or a q-tip. 4. Set a bucket under the PEX supply line that is exposed. 5. Place the handle in the on position and allow it to run water for 2 full minutes. This will clear the supply line out of any debris. 6. Put the handle back into the off position. 7. Reconnect the solenoid to the faucet and clip it back into place. 8. Now remove the bottom clip from the solenoid where the hose connects and pull the hose off. 9. Turn the water back on for an additional 2 minutes to clear the solenoid assembly of any remaining debris. 10. Reconnect the hose and clip it into place again. Once that is finished, turn the water onto the faucet and run it for 15 seconds. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. We appreciate your business and look forward to continuing to serve you. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

After installing my new faucet the hot water is not very hot.

Asked by: tom g
Hello tom g, Thank you for contacting us. I apologize for the low hot flow you are experiencing with your Delta faucet and I am happy to help you. Reduced flow is typically caused by debris. If only one side is affected, there is debris in the supply line. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut-off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the middle position, fully open, then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and turn on both supplies. Check flow from the faucet. If this does not help, please let us know. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

Asked by: Andy
Hi Andy, Thanks so much for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Resetting the solenoid could resolve this issue with your LELAND® Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet MODEL#: 9178T-DST. To reset the solenoid, remove the lid to the battery box and the black LED wire from the side of the solenoid (and unplug the AC adapter from the solenoid, if you have that optional accessory). Let it sit for at least 2 minutes. Reattach the lid to the battery box and plug the LED wire back into the solenoid (you should hear or feel it click when it is fully inserted). If the issue persists, please clean/flush the solenoid. To clean the filter basket/screen, please turn the handle to the off position. You will need a paper towel or two. Disconnect the clip from the top hose going into the solenoid. Look into the top solenoid valve you should see a white/blue debris screen or basket. It should simply unscrew or, depending on the model, you may need to take a pair of needle-nose pliers (or tweezers) and pull the small debris basket/screen out. Clean the debris screen by rinsing it. If the screen does not remove easily, use a swab with white vinegar and water to wipe the screen clean of any debris. Place the basket/screen back into the solenoid and reinsert the top tube into the solenoid, making sure the clip is securing the hose (tube) to the solenoid. Please reach out with further questions! Best Regards, Kelley Digital Communications Specialist
