Rated 2 out of 5 by from Faucet inexplicably stops working Worked fine for a year or two. Touch feature became inconsistent. Then, the faucet would invariably become inoperable. How can I fix this? I changed the batteries but that doesn't seem to be the issue. I'm not a plummer. Didn't think I'd need to decipher instructions just to get the water running. Is there a simple fix?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Touch Feature Sucks! The basic faucet functions fine and is stylish. However, the spray head doesn't have enough arc and when pointed straight ahead just almost sprays out of the sink. The major complaint is the techie feature of the touch sensor. I thought when I order this item that might be a neat feature, now that I have it I wonder what was I thinking. First of all since I've installed it I find we really don't have much need for this feature. It's a good thing we don't use it often because it doesn't work well. I've tried all the fixes recommended by Delta and troubleshooters online and it works for a short time but as soon as you put the wrong item under the sink or move the sensor wires it goes haywire. Now we have to play tap, tap, tap games with the faucet to get it to come on. Take my advice don't pay the extra money for this feature it just leads to frustration. This review wants to know if I would recommend this product to a friend, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from broke after two months The solenoid in the faucet broke after two months of use.The plumber advised us to turn all the way off when I was not in the kitchen so it really did not get much use.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Faulty or Poor Quality Loved the faucet until it suddenly stopped the water flow and now its down to a trickle. Called a plumber and he suggested replacing the faucet with a standard faucet or just bypass the water regulator associated with the touch system. Obviously after spending this kind of money on the faucet I am not too inclined to purchase a new one. Unfortunately my loves the design of this one so I am stuck with the touch faucet with the touch feature disconnected. Not what I expected when I purchased this during our kitchen remodel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the touch faucet and temperature sensor We have had this installed for about a year and have loved this so much. Installation is a breeze. At first, the touch was a bit hard to get used to, but after maybe a week, you pretty much can't imagine not having it. It is so nice to just tap the faucet that is over the sink so your wet hands don't leave water on the countertop where the handle is.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good out of the box but unusable over time We bought in Dec 2017 and were very happy for the first few months. Unfortunately over time cheap construction renders the faucet useless. The top of the battery compartment can't handle the pressure of the internal springs and continually pops off over time (and once it happens there is no going back). The top connects the batteries to the faucet - so once it's broken, the faucet won't work. A $700 faucet rendered useless by a 30 cent plastic part...

I have low water pressure with cold water only. Just started coming out slower. Hot water flows our normal pressure. What could be the issue?

Asked by: JCSmith
Hi, JCSmith, Thank you for your question and I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing low flow with your Delta Faucet. The low flow you are describing is most likely the result of debris in your supply lines or faucet. Over time, common water debris will settle in the house supply lines. Anytime the water is shut off to a portion of the home, this debris can become dislodged and will move through the pipes to be caught by a faucet. Local construction or the changing of the seasons can also cause this. Flushing the supply lines through the unit should remedy this situation. To flush the unit, we recommend the following: Start with the easy stuff: Remove your aerator, wand or hose to check the flow through the unit without that part installed. If the flow is good, the piece you’ve removed is where the issue is. Soaking the part in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water could help remove any particles or debris blocking the flow. If the water does not have a good flow, the problem could be in the faucet. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies. If you need further help with this process, please contact us directly and we can walk you through the procedure. We are available at 800-345-3358 (prompt 2, then 3), Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm and Saturday, 9am to 6pm CST. Best Regards, Rosanna

Installation restrictions

We want to purchase a Delta Touch20 Technology kitchen faucet. We like the Cassidy, Trinsic or Pilar style. Our problem is the back splash is 2-1/8" from the vertical centerline of the faucet to the back splash. The back splash height is 6". The 2-1/2" base diameter of the faucet would not be an issue. My problem is all the technical drawings for these faucets state the minimum faucet centerline to back splash dimension is 2-1/2". Unless the faucet handles go backwards beyond vertical, I do not see why I could not install this faucet. Any thoughts.
Asked by: Mat
Good question, Mat, but you should be in luck! Although the installation might be marginally more difficult under the sink from the reduced clearance, it should work fine. This model features the Euro-Motion handle which only rotates forward to eliminate backsplash interference.

What does a solid red light mean when faucet is running

Asked by: Smitty
Hello Smitty, Thank you for your question. A solid red light on your Delta Cassidy Kitchen Pull-Down 9197T-DST faucet, usually means that the solenoid valve is open, water temperature is greater than 110°F (43°C).The red, flashing light means the batteries need to be replaced at the battery pack. My nozzle droops.  What does the magnet look like?  It will stay in place but once tapped to start water flow, the nozzle pops out nearly an inch or more.
