Rated 1 out of 5 by from Mind of it's own I purchased this faucet with the battery pack only for a new house we were building. That ran out of power and to my horror, I discovered that the entire faucet will NOT TURN ON if the batteries are discharged. To make matters worse, I decided to get the extra part to change this to a wired product - more expense for an electrician and a plumber! So now I don't have to worry about changing the batteries but the real reason I got this faucet was to utilize the touch technology which I thought would be great to keep from contaminating everything by tapping with the back of my hand. However, this faucet has a mind of its own. It turns on and off at will and while trying to clean or use the water it will repeatedly turn off. Not the best thing to happen when you are using the garbage disposal. And if I leave the faucet on to use later, it will simply turn on at will whether I'm there or not. I HATE this thing and if it weren't so expensive, I would replace it. I'm hoping Delta will stand by their lifetime warranty and help me out. It's incredibly annoying to try to use your faucet and have to repeatedly tap it to turn on the water two or three or four times. Sometimes it won't even work at all - seems to need a "rest" between taps. And make sure you turn it off when you are done or else you will find the blasted thing running when you come back into the room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Faucet! Moved to new house. 2nd Touch faucet from Delta. Excellent customer service and support. Easy to install. Don’t know what your missing until you don’t have one anymore and we had to install in new house.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Performance degrades over time We have had this for about 7 months, and while it works reliably in terms of the touch functionality and turning on and off, over time the shut-off performance has degraded significantly. When it was new, the shutoff was almost instantaneous from when you tapped it, but now there is a significant delay from when it is tapped until the flow of water actually stops. I believe this is a reliability issue that is coming about through regular use, because we have one of these installed in the kitchen that we use every day which exhibits the slow shut-off behavior, and another one in the basement laundry room that we only use rarely and still shuts off quickly. So, it is a good idea and a convenient feature, but I would not recommend buying this due to the reliability issue of the performance degrading over such a short time frame (7 months).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sadly disappointed Unfortunately, after only a few days after a professional installed our new Delta faucet, the faucet randomly turns on and sometimes the touch mechanism does not work. We were hoping a Delta faucet at this price point would work. However, this is not the case.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It’s killing me! We bought a new home and thought this would be a great addition! It was the worst thing ever! We have had it for 3 months now and had to replace the batteries 4 times, it turns off by itself and won’t turn on at times. Now I am dreading cooking and washing dishes because it won’t even turn on unless I jiggle some wires underneath the sink! I should’ve gotten the old fashioned faucet. Would’ve saved me the headache!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We love the faucet,...except for the leaking Our contractors installed this faucet in our new home. After two or three months, the faucet drips unless the lever has been moved to the off position. If we didn’t have this drip, the stars would be 5, because it is quite handy when cooking and my hands get messy. I can just touch the faucet with my forearm or elbow and it comes on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product We upgraded our 10-year old Delta Brizo faucet to this top of the line model. There is so much to like about this faucet. It was easy to install. It is solidly built. The touch on/off feature is awesome. The water temperature light at the base of the faucet adds another level of coolness. Overall, we are very very pleased with this faucet upgrade.

I have this faucet. How do you turn off the auto shut off?

Sometimes I want this faucet to have water running more than 4 minutes but it has a auto shut off feature. How do you turn this off? It is really annoying. There are specific reasons why the faucet needs to go beyond 4 minutes.

Dear Superfood, Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic Pull-Down Touch2O Technology Kitchen 9659T-KS-DST faucet, auto shut off is a safety feature of all our touch faucets. To turn off the auto shut-off, you would need to fully remove the solenoid assembly. Best regards, Tanya

Can the handle be mounted in the middle as opposed to the right side?

Asked by: Keith Wayne
Hello Keith Wayne, Thank you for your question. You can install the Delta Trinsic Pro Touch2O 9659T-DST faucet, with the handle in the front. The spout rotates the full 360 degrees and is not affected by the handle position. Be aware of the fact the the handle will then pull toward you to turn on, with hot to the right, and cold to the left. Best regards, Tanya

how do i do clean sprayer assembly (partialy clogged )

Asked by: Thomas
Thank you for your question, Thomas! The wand on your Delta model 1993-SD-DST has Touch clean spray holes which can easily be wiped by hand to remove mineral buildup. If the issue is inside the wand, you can remove the wand and pour a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water inside to help break up deposits.
