Is there a filter that can be cleaned out in the pull down part of the faucet where it screws off?
Asked by: Tammy
Thank you for your question, Tammy! There is a screen where the spray wand connects to the hose that you can check for debris. You can also soak the complete wand in a 50/50 white vinegar and water solution to help dissolve any mineral buildup.

When you press the button on the pull down, does it lock in spray mode or do you have to continue to press it to keep it spraying?

Hi, ala8c!
Thank you for your question. The spray mode on the sprayer assembly for the Delta 9159-CZ-DST is a toggle and will stay at the mode you select without having to keep pressing the desired spray mode.

Delta 9159 vs. 9959
Is it possible to use the 9959 bar/prep sized faucet as a main kitchen faucet? Is 6.5" spout reach too short for a 30" undermount sink? Besides size/dimensions are there any differences between the 9159 and 9959 Trinsic faucets specs or features?
Asked by: marissyt
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet models 9159-DST and 9959-DST are the same faucet with the 9959-DST just being a smaller version of the kitchen faucet. The only reason we would not recommend using the 9959-DST is it may not have the reach that you would like to all corners of the sink but that is a personal preference issue.

The handle of my faucet is very loose. I can't seem to find something to use to pop the screw "cover" off. What do you all suggest we use to remove that cover and then get in to tighten the screw?

For stone counter tops. What size does the opening need to be?
I'm having new stone counter tops installed in my kitchen. I'm having a company come over to take measurements. I want to let them know what size hole or opening to make on the counter to install this particular faucet, which would be a single hole application. I would be installing a farmhouse sink in the kitchen and therefore I need to install the faucet on the counter. Thank you

Hi, John!
Thank you for your question. The measurement for your hole size should be 1 1/4" to 1 1/2". Here is the link to our technical specifications for this faucet:

Other than price, what is the difference between Trinsic & Trinsic Pro? Both have same model #.
Asked by: Deb1954
Thank you for your question, Deb1954! The Trinsic model, 9159-DST is the standard pull down kitchen faucet model. The Trinsic Pro version is actually model number 9659-DST and has a coiled spout that can be removed from the arm so that you can point the sprayer in any direction. The internal 70" pull-out hose can also be extended from the end of the coiled spout for additional reach.

spray hose composition
within 5 years, our current faucet hose deteriorated, possibly chlorine in the city water was the blame.
What is the trinsic 9159-dst spray hose made of?
What are the supply hoses made of?
How long will they last in chlorine water?
Too, how much room do I need to operate the on/off lever?
How much room do I need between the lever and soap dispenser?
thank you
Asked by: anna
Hi Anna, Thank you for your question. The spray hose is made of an ultracore liner. The ultracore liner was developed to be resistance to chlorine and chloramines. The supply tubes are PEX (cross linked Polyethylene) which are also designed to be chlorine and chloramine resistant. Both the hoses and the supply lines are covered under the lifetime warranty for the product.
The handle needs 1-1/2" of clearance to the rear and will extend out 4-3/8" to the right of the faucet centers. If you are placing the soap dispenser to the left of the spout 4" centers would be a normal distance. If you are placing the soap dispenser to the right , 6" centers should give you enough space. I have attached a link to the spec sheet for the model 9159-DST below.

Dave

Will faucet work with a tight backsplash
I have about 2" between the center of my hole and the backsplash of my counter. I was wondering if the faucet would still work in this tight space. For example, does the handle operate only in a pull down fashion or does it require space to push the handle back to turn on either the hot or cold water. Thanks.
Asked by: Dweezle64
The faucet works in pull down only. It is in the off position
in the picture, but it moves to half way down to be on hot
fully. You move the faucet handle to the right to turn it on
and it only moves about an inch or less to the right to be on full
force. The answer is yes, you can use this in a tight spot.
The faucet does not operate back at all, all the movement
in the handle is down and to the right.

What is the purpose for the min 2.5" clearance
What is the purpose for the min 2.5" clearance from the center of the faucet to the backsplash? It seems it wouldn't be for the faucet handle since it moves out and forward, not backward. I have about 2" clearance and want to get this faucet but am confused if the 2" clearance would be enough for the faucet to be installed correctly and function properly.
Asked by: kyla
Dear Kyla,
Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic Kitchen Pull-Down 9159-DST faucet has a recommended minimum 1 1/2"
(38 mm) clearance to the back splash, due to the spout being able to swing 360 degrees.

Flow rate
I had this faucet installed in a kitchen remodel. It's beautiful and looks great in my kitchen. It works great in "spray" mode, but in the "regular" flow seems very slow/weak to me. Could something be wrong with the faucet, or the installation? I read in one of the customer reviews that the flow seems to be somewhat of a "low flow". I'm just wondering if this is intended, or if we did something wrong. Thanks!
Asked by: Laura
The wand assembly probably needs to be taken apart and cleaned. There is a YouTube video illustrating this. Here are the steps:
1. Use small screw driver at top of button to pop it off.
2. Remove the Phillips head set screw.
3. Slide interior assembly down slightly to expose set screw hole in small plastic "cam" piece.
4. Pop out (from bottom) the small plastic "cam" piece.
5. Slide interior assembly down to completely remove.
6. Unscrew the bottom part (about 1/2" long) of interior assembly.
7. Clean both parts of interior assembly (this will be obvious!). Reassemble the wand assembly by repeating the above steps in reverse order.
Replace the button (last reassembly step) by pushing in bottom part first. If button does not work, remove and try again. This took me several tries. Here is the link to the YouTube video, which is not mine, but was very helpful:

What type of cleaner do you recommend for the Artic Stainless finish?
Asked by: Karen
Hi Karen, Thank you for your question!
Here is the cleaning and care information for our Delta products below:
Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward.
If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use.
Avoid using the following which can damage your finish:
Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner.
Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents.
Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes
Avoid bleach-based cleaners
