Rated 3 out of 5 by sealy22 from Looks good, but drips... Great looking modern faucet that gets lots of compliments. It drips however, and sometimes has a random spray when in standard faucet mode. You have to really press down hard to make sure it is not in spray mode to prevent this. Even when not using the spry mode in awhile, it will randomly drip from it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Ginonet from Big Bar Faucet When we bought this faucet for our bar/counter online, we had never seen one in person. It's a little bigger than we expected. The pipe is very big in circumference, check one out in person first. If we would have known this, we might have shopped around a little more, but online, the style was very sleek and contemporary. It's a pretty cool look and the pull out spray nozzle is very handy for rinsing around the sink rim and filling various items of glassware etc. We had it installed by a knowledgable plumber so I can't share any install horror stories, but after it was in, I took a peek under the counter and it looked simpler than the instructions lead me to believe. I'm not real happy with the touch technology. It's really awesome when it's working with the blue LED "on" light, but sometimes it doesn't work and takes a couple of taps or more to get the water flowing. Sometimes when it's running and I re-adjust the temperature, just touching the handle shuts it off, then I have to touch it again to get the water flowing. The Touch feature should work on everything BUT the handle.Very frustrating, especially if your hands are holding things or they're soapy. This defeats the purpose of the Touch20 feature, right? I've even had it come on when nobody was near it. (The handle was in the open position obviously, as water started flowing) I would suggest making sure the handle is in the shut position if you ever leave the house for any amount of time. I think in hind-sight I would have gone old school and opted out of the Touch2O feature altogether, which is offered on the exact same faucet. As for the handle itself, I think they could have done a little better with the design. There's not much to grab on to, as I would have preferred more of a paddle design to the "stick" on this model. I guess it wouldn't matter much if the Touch20 feature worked 100%, but like it said, it's a little quirky. Maybe I could get better performance if I mess around with the wires, but everything looks clean, well connected and grounded. Who knows. As far as construction and quality, just the feel and mechanical function is top drawer. I don't see any reason why this faucet shouldn't last for many years.

Q&A

I have a question regarding the 9959-DST Trinsic prep faucet. Because of the location on my counter, I will have to mount the handle on the left, so I was wondering if the handle swivels the same amount back as forward (like 45 degrees each way).

Does faucet 9959-cz-dst have hot and cold water?

Can this faucet be used in NYC? it shows the faucet has internal PEX components. Please advise.

What is the difference between a bar/prep faucet and a kitchen faucet? I like this model but want it for my main kitchen sink and I'm wondering if it would work for that?

Thank you for your question, Brett! The Delta Trinsic Faucet models 9159-DST and 9959-DST are the same faucets, with the 9959-DST just being a smaller version of the kitchen faucet. The only reason we would not recommend using the 9959-DST is it may not have the reach that you would like to all corners of the sink. However, it would be a personal preference of the homeowner or installer. Best regards, Tanya

The touch-on/off feature stopped working. Is there a battery or something that needs to be replaced?

We've had the faucet less than a year

There is a battery pack located under the sink connected to the solenoid assembly. Batteries can be replaced with either 6 AA batteries or 6 C batteries. Best Regards, Rosanna

Does this faucet have hot/cold indicator dots on the handle? Which direction is hot and which is cold?

How do I remove the head so that I can clean the screen?

Hi, JeffU! Thank you for your question. The sprayer assembly for the Delta 9959-CZ-DST faucet unscrews counterclockwise at the hose connection. Once removed, this can be soaked in a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water solution and can be soaked for an hour or even overnight. Best Regards, Rosanna

Someone responded that the sprayer is plastic. Are they saying that the pull out section (like the last 2 inches on the faucet) is plastic or do they mean the inside assembly of the sprayer is plastic. Also, is the water aerated?
