Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but... I absolutely love the look of this but less than two months in, it started intermittently leaking from the spray nozzle. I've cleaned the nozzle numerous times and tried everything to get it to stop to no avail. VERY disappointing. I did not expect this so early in it's lifetime and it is not returnable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Magnetic ring detached and broke. Hi, is an excellent product, I would like to know if you sell the magnetic ring, is not on your parts list. Mine detached from the goose neck, and it broke. Is a metal magnetic ring. I Really need this part and instructions of how to attach it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overengineered. The solenoid ("brain") failed and had to be replaced within the first 3 months after installation. Delta sent a new solenoid which seemed to work fine. However, two years later, it is again malfunctioning. If you turn on the faucet, it randomly turns itself off without being touched. It is very annoying and I'd just as soon have a traditional faucet that works with the handle for on & off. No more of the touch on & off. The six batteries need to be replaced about every four months; expensive and also very annoying. The spray feature works very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One Way to Improve a Beautiful Faucet. The faucet is beautiful. I would have appreciated better, easier-to-follow directions for the on/off feature. I'm still working on the temperature feature.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hot and cold labels not consistent I have both this faucet and the Trinsic single-handle bathroom vanity faucet. The cold and hot label are in the opposite direction. For one faucet, when you pull towards the wall, it is hot; in the other, it is cold. It is dangerous for young children, and annoying for us and guests as it is not consistent. Is there any way this can be fixed?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great!! But handle needs a cover. Installed this a few years ago: Love it! However the handle needs a cover so it doesn’t activate the on/off switch for water supply when trying regulate the volume/temp. Frustrating but manageable. Hopefully Delta has a handle cover (can’t find one).

Q&A

Can the faucet be operated manually if the batteries are disconnected?

Asked by: Dave
Hello Dave! Thank you for your question and we are happy to help. We apologize for this information not being readily available to you. For Lavatory Touch2O and Touch2O.xt faucets, the only way to make them manual is to remove the battery box from the solenoid while the water is running. For Kitchen Touch2O faucets, there are a few ways to make them manual. 1. If you can get the water to flow, then the most universal option can be used. It does not matter which model or version for this method (excluding Pascal & eFLow). With the faucet running water, disconnect the battery pack by opening it. Or if you have an open battery tray, remove the batteries. You now have a manually operated faucet. The solenoid was open allowing water to flow through and is now stuck open because you removed the power it would use to close. Reconnecting the battery would close the solenoid and make it electronic again. Or 2. If the faucet is a later generation, the solenoid assembly may be removed, and the wand hose connected directly to the valve outlet tube. a. Open the battery holder cap. b. Disconnect the sensor hook(s) from the spout and/or valve shank. c. Remove the hose clip and hose from the solenoid. d. Remove the solenoid from the valve outlet tube by removing the clip or swinging the clip open. e. Reconnect the hose with the hose clip to the spout outlet nipple. Note: If the solenoid uses an RP60520 adapter to connect to the valve outlet, for example, the early Trinsic, Addison, and Ashton … the pullout hose can be connected directly to the valve outlet nipple, not the adapter. a. Open the battery holder cap. b. Disconnect the sensor hook(s) from the spout and/or valve shank. c. Remove the hose clip and hose. d. Remove the metal solenoid clip and solenoid. e. Remove the adapter from the valve outlet tube. The adapter must also be removed to reveal the valve outlet nipple. The hose cannot connect to the adapter. f. Reconnect the hose with the hose clip to the valve outlet nipple. The faucet is now a manually operated pullout or pulldown. Or 3. If the solenoid Generation 1 or 2, and operational enough, we can directly energize it open. This is the least preferred method. These directions are in the M&Is, using the battery pack to reverse the power to the solenoid momentarily. Also attached below. This step can also be used on the solenoid for a Pascal if needed. With any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Best Regards, Carrie

Have model 9159t-ar-dst. It started dripping so changed out the batteries but it is still dripping in the touch mode.

Asked by: Doug
Hello Doug, Thank you for contacting us. I apologize for the leak when touched off you are experiencing with your Delta Faucet model 9159T DST Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet With Touch2O® Technology and I am happy to help you. The leak when off you are experiencing typically is caused by debris within the solenoid assembly. We recommend doing a flush on your electronic components. Please follow the below steps to resolve your drip: 1. Put the handle in the off position. 2. Remove the blue clip that is attached to the top of the solenoid assembly below the sink. 3. Pull the solenoid off of the faucet connection. Remove the debris screen in the top connection if able and clear any debris with tweezers or a q-tip. 4. Set a bucket under the pex supply line that is exposed. 5. Place the handle in the on position and allow it to run water for 2 full minutes. This will clear the supply line out of any debris. 6. Put the handle back into the off position. 7. Reconnect the solenoid to the faucet and clip it back into place. 8. Now remove the bottom clip from the solenoid where the hose connects and pull the hose off. 9. Turn the water back on for an additional 2 minutes to clear the solenoid assembly of any remaining debris. 10. Reconnect the hose and clip it into place again. Once that is finished, turn the water on to the faucet and run it for 15 seconds. Please contact us back directly via email with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

One day old Model 9159T-DST solenoid works intermittently, usually works first use after being off for awhile, but then doesn't shut water off/on when touched. You can hear the solenoid "clicking" when you touch the faucet, but water doesn't shut off.

Asked by: Jay13
Hello Jay13, Thank you for contacting us. I apologize you're having difficulties with your Delta touch faucet and I am happy to be able to assist you. There are some prominent reasons the touch feature could be acting erratically. Please make sure any wires are isolated from the solenoid box, the water supply lines, and anything else that might conduct electricity. If space is limited, we recommend a minimum of two inches of clearance, if possible. We also recommend placing the battery pack flat on the floor or as close to the ground at your feet as possible. The battery pack should have at least 2 inches of clearance from the walls or anything that can conduct electricity below the counter as the pack is also touch-sensitive. Please ensure your LED wire and green sense wire are isolated from anything conductive and your sense wire is securely mounted on the threads of the shank. After making the necessary changes, there is a certain way in which we recommend changing the batteries in order to allow the electronics to reset. First, remove the battery cable from the side of the battery box, then remove the old batteries and install new batteries, then reattach the battery cable. After doing this, turn the faucet on by the handle and tap the spout to turn it on and off by touch. If this resolves the issue we know it was battery-related. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

How should this faucet be cleaned? We have it in Champagne Bronze

Asked by: LCJones629
Hi LCJones629, thank you for your interest in the 9159T-CZ-DST! Always blot dry any water from the faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to a build-up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean, soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse the surface thoroughly with water afterward. Hi Archer, Thank you for contacting Delta Faucet Company! Please accept our sincere apology for the inconvenience you are experiencing. Here is the information needed to resolve your issue for you. We would also like to have you do a flush of the unit, flushing the touch faucet will fix multiple issues with leaking, flow, and debris. Please see the steps below. We would like you to keep the handle in the center full-on position, then remove the wand. Hold the hose, so it does not fall back into the faucet, then point the hose into the sink. Next, I would like you to turn the faucet on by touch for 40 seconds. Then shut the faucet off by touch and back on for another 40 seconds. Then hold the handle and move it off and then back on without letting go for another 40 seconds. Once this has been done, please re-install the wand and check for leaking. Next, check the supply lines for debris: Turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply.
