Rated 1 out of 5 by from Delta Nightmare 7/23/2020 I would not recommend any Delta product with the experience I have had. Our plumber installed a Delta Faucet Series 400-DST in February of 2020. By July 9th, our water to the kitchen sink would not run and the vegetable sprayer had been leaking underneath the sink. Oh what a mess. After five days without any running water to our kitchen sink, the plumber came. He said that there is a plunger in the sprayer and that was not allowing the water to flow through the faucet. He went to his shop and returned with a new hose for the sprayer. He gave me a number to call because the faucet was definitely still under warranty. Even though he purchased the Delta Faucet, Delta won't honor him with the warranty, only the client. I called the number and after a hour and a half a representative finally came on. She said she needed pictures of the faucet and a picture of underneath the sink. I took the pictures and sent them to 205-708-8410. They failed to send. I called the plumber and asked what series the faucet was and he told me the 400-DST. I called back this time waiting 45 minutes before talking to a representative. They said that even though I had the model number they could not send me a replacement hose unless I sent pictures. I tried later in the day to send the pictures, but it failed to send. Two days later, I resent the pictures and they did send. I called back with a wait time of 65 minutes before I talked to a representative. They told me that they didn't have the pictures and could not help me. So I'm out $75 plus labor because Delta won't honor their warranties.

We did have a set back with my husband leaving the faucet on the kitchen table for 3 days while he got around to installing it. Our Great Dane helped himself to the plastic sleeve of the sprayer and destroyed it. I called customer service from the phone number on the box and they sent me a new part for free! It's installed now and works wonderfully! Thanks Delta!

Even then it still drips. Doesn't seem sturdy either like the old delta I had. Very disappointed. Emailed custom service two days ago, still no response other than the "we're looking into it".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to shut off The installation was easy, no need for a plumber if you're at all handy with tools. Found that we also experience 2 problems as noted on other reviews. 1. Difficult to find the "sweet spot" to turn water off so that it doesn't leak. 2. Rocks on the sink. It appears that the wrong gasket was furnished with the faucet, won't snug down on the sink, rocks on the gasket.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Warning: Low-flow Design The cartridge failed after <2 years, which to Delta's credit was replaced under warranty. However, we were sick of the low flow from this faucet, and I finally attempted to pull out the flow restrictor at the nozzle only to find that it's integral to the faucet, so not it's ruined and have find a better faucet. Also, this faucet uses some oddball oversized rosette washers (the "nuts" that secure the faucet body to the sink) that seemingly aren't available anywhere; why, I have no idea.

Is there a way to disable the sprayer hose for this faucet?&nbsp;

Hi, Nancy! Thank you for your question. The Delta 400-DST Faucet can be used without the sprayer assembly. To use the faucet without the hose attached, you will want to cap the end valve with the cap, part number RP54269. Dear Diy Always, Thank you for your question. To install the Delta Classic Kitchen 400-DST faucet. You would first remove the old faucet. Remove the gasket from the old faucet and install it onto bottom of the new faucet. Next, feed tubes/shanks down through mounting hole in the sink. Secure faucet to sink with mounting nuts supplied with your faucet. Mount the spray support in far right hole of the sink. Hand tighten the mounting nut. Insert sprayer and hose down through support assembly. Hello Dwidemn, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta Classic Kitchen 400-DST faucet. This unit comes with a 5/16&quot;-27 Male thread aerator. A portable dishwasher may be used with this model. However, it is up to the installer to adapt it and ensure a leak-free connection. Because the spout has an internal tube, water could leak below the sink. You may use the gasket from the aerator with the necessary adapter, but an additional gasket may be needed. Can I convert the DST 400 from an existing 3 hole installation to a 1 hole installation?

Faucet with cover plate covers 3 holes and sprayer uses 4th hole. I bought a water filtration system and need one of the 2 covered/unused holes for installation. I would like to re-use the existing faucet instead of buying a new one. I saw you sell RP51490. Can I buy this and just exchange it with the current 3 hole plate?

Hi tvirtualw, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the escutceon plate on the model 400-DST cannot be removed and switched out to another escutcheon. We offer the 2 hole install 175-DST and the 3 hole install 300-DST faucets from the same Classic collection that would free up the extra hole. Thanks, Dave
