Rated 4 out of 5 by from Save the Diverter Plug! I bought this kitchen faucet in 2013--thirteen years ago--and it performed well until two days ago, when I felt water on my foot while using the sprayer. The sprayer hose cracked in a few places near the diverter valve where the hose bends the most when used, and it did an impressive job of spraying everything in the cabinet below the sink when it finally let go. There was enough water coming out of the split hose that it ran out of the cabinet and onto my foot to let me know it failed. I called Delta, and they are sending me a new diverter/sprayer hose for free since the failure falls under their lifetime warranty. I probably use the sprayer an average of a few times a week, to give you some perspective on the longevity of the hose. From what I've seen in other reviews of this faucet, the diverter/sprayer hose is a common point of failure. The important take-home that prompted me to write this review is that the faucet comes with a "diverter plug" installed in the fitting for the diverter/sprayer hose, so there is the option of using the faucet either with or without the sprayer hose. The installation instructions I received told me to discard the diverter plug if I was installing the sprayer hose. Don't discard the diverter plug! Saving the diverter plug and installing it after the diverter/sprayer hose failed allowed me to continue using the faucet without the sprayer. It made the difference between having no running water in the kitchen while I wait for the parts from Delta to arrive, and having running water in the kitchen. Do I wish the sprayer hose had lasted longer than 13 years? Of course, but since the diverter plug saves me from going without water in the kitchen while I wait for the free replacement from Delta, I'm okay with it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not was it once was. Have used this faucet for decades but the recent one purchased on12-30-25 has been a disappointment. The sprayer will not cut off half the time. Luckily I had not thrown away the old ragged looking one and I'm currently using it. Apparently the sprayer relies on water pressure to help shut it off. If any water is being used anywhere in the house the sprayer will not shut off properly!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible sprayer The side sprayer needs a total re-design. Already have had to replace and still does not work properly and leaks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Average Faucet drips after turned off. Especially if you don’t put the handle in the right spot.
Date published: 2026-05-08
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looking good! Easy to install ( it took fore time taking out the old one ) and operate; a little less flow, but that I believe is the new standard. I even looks better than the old Danze thing that I was about to repair for the fourth time in 3 years. Using a pex style install was new to me as well, but it's easier than copper.

Where is the diverter valve in this model located? Please advise on how to access this part in my faucet.

Asked by: WendyN

Will this work with a Mustee utility/laundry sink? I want a faucet with a sprayer option rather than a utility faucet that can't be used with a sprayer.

Asked by: JoJo
Hi JoJo, Thank you for your question about the Delta Faucet model 400-DST. Some models of sink have a recessed area for installing a faucet that has drill points for an 8" installation that this faucet uses. But there does not appear to be a drill point for the sprayer on the sink ledge. I recommend confirming with the sink manufacturer if the sink accommodates a 4-hole 8" installation. Please contact us directly if you have any additional questions! Best Regards, Bryan Digital Communications Specialist

I have a 400-DST sprayer and can not find a hose relacement to fit the plastic plug in fitting under the sink--found adapters but nothing to fit this unit--the fitting that connects to the sprayer handel pops off when water is turned on--.

Asked by: Butch
Hello Butch, Thank you for your question! I am sorry that the information you are inquiring about the Delta Faucet Single Handle Kitchen Faucet With Spray, model 400-DST, is not readily available; however, I am happy to help you. The correct part number for the Sprayer and Hose Assembly for model 400-DST is RP60097. RP60097: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP60097.html We recommend flushing your unit. Parts Diagram: 400-DST https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-K-100-DST_A.pdf Flushing your Single Handle DST Kitchen Faucet What you need before you begin: 1/8”-Allen wrench Bucket Strap wrench Second pair of hands Towel Before beginning, please turn off the faucet at the shut-off valve, and cover the drain for your sink. To begin, you will need to remove the set screw on the handle with the Allen wrench. When the set screw is removed, you can remove the handle, sleeve assembly, bonnet, and valve assembly. Please note that some people may need to use a strap wrench to loosen and or remove the bonnet; that is okay. With the valve of the faucet empty, go ahead and place the towel behind the back of the faucet; then put the bucket over the top of the towel, allowing the bucket to sit over the faucet; where the handle would be. Turn the cold-water valve on, allowing the water to run up in the bucket and down into the sink. Allow the water to run for at least 60 seconds for the best results. Once the time is up, go ahead and turn the cold-water valve off. Turn on the hot water valve and do the process once more. Please wipe off the puck (which is where the valve assembly sits inside of the faucet) with a soft cloth before putting it in your valve assembly. Flushing the supply lines at the shut-off valves What you need before you begin: Bucket Towel Please shut off the valve for the cold-water line. Next, disconnect the cold-water line from the shut-off valve and place it into the bucket. Place the handle in the on-position and at what would be considered lukewarm temperature. Next, turn on the cold-water valve and allow the supply line to bleed for at least 60 seconds. When the time is up, turn the valve back off and attach the supply line back like it was before. Now you can move onto the hot water line. Go ahead and shut off the valve. Remove the hot water supply line from the valve and place it into the bucket. The handle to the faucet should still be in the lukewarm, on-position as before. Next, turn on the hot water valve and allow the supply line to bleed for at least 60 seconds. When the time is up, turn the valve back off and attach the supply line back as it was before. Thank you for being a loyal Delta Faucet customer. Best Regards, Emma
