Rated 1 out of 5 by from Annoying - replacing after 6 months The turn-off mechanism is very sensitive. If you don't hit the point with the handle just right it drips/flows. It is centered so you have to bring the handle down and then up to the exact spot. I have mastered it 95% of the time but my husband is ready to yank it out. I am shopping for a replacement today.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Purchased this faucet for a kitchen renovation. Being a Delta product, I assumed it would be well engineered and manufactured. I am disappointed. Although attractive I have found the exact same problems identified by a reviewer of this faucet published five years ago. See below: "Faucet looks nice. Wanted something streamlined and not too tall. The pressure fit handle is a bummer. You really have to push hard to get it back in all the way. Usually it's not all the way seated which works but doesn't look nice. The handle to turn it on and off is very fussy and if you don't push it in just right it doesn't shut off. It's not a huge deal but annoying enough to make me dislike this particular design. It runs really hot or cold, the adjustment for warm is so narrow that I cant get warm unless I'm very careful to adjust it. I don't know why 99% of the positioning is burning hot or cold and 1% is warm."

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Faucet with Poor Durability For the most part the faucet is ok. The wand didn't last a full year before the buttons started to stop working properly. I tried descaling it thinking there might have been some gunk build up in the parts. That helped the flow a bit but after a few more months the buttons themselves stopped changing the water flow type to where the water came out using both flow types at once. For the price of this faucet (Artic Stainless) I would have expected the wand to be higher in quality and durability. No reason I should have to replace the wand after 12 months of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pluses and minuses Nice looking. Very difficult to find the “just right spot for warm water, it’s easy for just hot or just cold”. Hose for sprayer is too long so the weight on the bottom just sits on the bottom of the cabinet defeating its purpose of locking it back to the faucet. Sprayer is chintzy plastic. If I knew all that from the before installing I would have chosen something else. Do like the lower profile

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice faucet but Flow Switch is Cheap About a year after we bought it the flow switch stopped working, It Wouldn't switch back from spray to flow, so the only way to go back to flow is to turn it off and on. Now, about three years in, the flow switch is leaking water wildly, so it gets everything wet around the sink. Seemed well made when we bought it and maybe three years is the life of a faucet, but we had our former faucet for more than 10. Disappointing.

Q&A

If the water is running with on spray, will it remain on spray when the water is turned off and then back on? I have seen other pullout faucets that revert to stream when the water is turned off and then back on.

what is the difference between models 4153-AR-DST and 4153-DST? also, I need a pull-down kitchen faucet that is less than 15" maximum height. Suggestions, please.

Thank you for your question, anne38! The model 4153-DST is Chrome and 4153-AR-DST has the Arctic Stainless finish. The top of the spout is 12 5/16" above the deck surface. All of our current pull-out models are under 15" tall. Can I use this faucet on top of Formica and mounted off of the sink?

Will the cover plate be sufficient in protecting my countertop from water damage?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 4153-DST has a maximum deck thickness of 2 1/2 inches. The escutcheon plate will protect the sink from water underneath the escutcheon plate.

Can the operating lever on the 4153 dst faucet be installed on the left side of the faucet?

Hi Dee, Thank you for your question. Yo do have the option of placing the handle to the left. The hot and cold will be reversed on the lever unless you switch the supply lines as well. Thanks, Dave

Linden 4153-dst https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/dsp-k-4153-dst_C.pdf shows 2 below sink depths 34 15/16" and 33 7/16": are these distances required? Also a 2 x 1 5/16" and 3 x 1 5/16" holes: how does this relate to 1 or 3 holes? Thanks.

The hot water line is 34 15/16" inches long, and the cold water line is 33 7/16" inch long. 2 x 1 5/16" refers to the number of holes and size, if the single hole escutcheon is used, but the correct measurement is 1 x 1 5/16" since only 1 hole would be needed. 3 x 1 5/16" refers to the number of holes and size, if the 3 whole escutcheon plate is used. Is the sprayer assembly plastic or metal on the chrome 4153-DST faucet? If plastic, do any of your pull-out kitchen faucets have a sprayer assembly that is metal? Also do you have any pull-out kitchen faucets with the MagnaTite feature?
