Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice faucet, but awkward to turn off Nice faucet, but it takes some getting used to. With the handle on the right side, we thought it would work out well for the two of us who are right handed. Not so much. You have to operate it with your right hand while holding the glass, coffee pot, whatever, in the left hand. Feels awkward. Our biggest problem with it is that if you don't get the handle in exactly the right spot, you haven't turned it off and the faucet is still running. Sounds ridiculous, but we have left the water running numerous times in the past week. If we had it to do over, we would have had the plumber install it with the handle on the left. That would probably have worked better for us.

I liked the design of this one, but I returned it because the spout handle was so cheap feeling and looking and it was totally plastic. I did buy another Delta faucet I like much better

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved this faucet and would buy again if I could… I’ve had this faucet and loved it until someone jerked the handle and unseated it in a way that could not be repaired. The faucet is elegant with good flow and spray, though the sprayer doesn’t always reseat all the way, and the handle has to be positioned just right to avoid dripping. But both those issues were minor and easily managed. I would have bought another, but they aren’t available right now due to supply chain issues, and I can’t wait the approximated six months until they are.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful but... Beautiful faucet and love the features, but...we live in an average home with normal and average utility hook ups. With all of the repairs and replacements we have gone through during our 25 years of owning our home, such as other faucets, appliances, expansions, water heater, etc., we have never had an incompatibility issue with regard to "hook ups" like we did with this faucet. First of all the hoses and connectors that attach to the city water inlet connection hardware were not a typical standard size. Also, the faucet's water line connection hardware was backwards from typical faucet applications that we have seen with regard to male and female connections. So, after two trips to our local hardware store to purchase additional parts to add to the fauct hoses, we were finally able to splice into the lines enough additional hardware to accommodate the faucet line's odd sizes and make the newly purchased faucet usable. What should have taken a couple of hours to accomplish, wound up taking two and a half days instead and this $160 faucet wound up costing an additional $25 in parts to make it compatible with our average and typical home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just ok Faucet looks nice. Wanted something streamlined and not too tall. The pressure fit handle is a bummer. You really have to push hard to get it back in all the way. Usually it's not all the way seated which works but doesn't look nice. The handle to turn it on and off is very fussy and if you don't push it in just right it doesn't shut off. It's not a huge deal but annoying enough to make me dislike this particular design. It runs really hot or cold, the adjustment for warm is so narrow that I cant get warm unless I'm very careful to adjust it. I don't know why 99% of the positioning is burning hot or cold and 1% is warm.

Just installed about 2 weeks ago, installation with a composite sink is a little tricky, needed to get some spacers to shim up the bracket on the bottom to match the height of the sink, would be nice if Delta could put some spacers in the box for this.

The lines are clean and functioned well until a few weeks ago when developed a problem. It doesn't always shut off completely - ranges from a drip to a stream. The leak can be corrected by adjusting the lever, or turning back on and shutting off.

We chose this model for the lower profile and find it plenty high to fill pots. The finish is very nice and water spots don't have a chance to appear by simply wiping the faucet with a towel when it gets wet. It always looks perfect!

The faucet I replaced weighed a lot more and was made of a thicker and higher quality metal. So when I walk up to use it now the word that comes to mind is "cheap." Oh well.... I'll hang on to it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great look and style My contractor reccomended this faucet in oil rubbed bronze to go with the rest of my kitchen. I could not use any of the faucets with magnets due to my pacemaker so this was perfect. I love the 360 swivel, the stream to spray and the sleek, clean lines. Unlike chrome faucets this is easy to keep clean and always looks great. I like the touch clean and the pull out length of the hose. This faucet is just what I wanted. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the increase flow button stopped working and the faucet has only been in use for 3 months, so I will have to call warranty. Once that is fixed and stays fixed this faucet gets 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Immediate excitement!! The moment the plumbers walked away from the sink I was elated with joy. So elegant looking. I am thrilled with the height of the faucet. The single side handle is perfect to reach. Not awkward and closer down so water does not run off the top of the faucet when turning off and on. The satin stainless finish is modern looking and much easier to keep clean. Now I can clean my large kettles and baking pans quickly and easily with much less water mess on my counters. It reaches across into the double sink perfectly for filling up anything. The spray is a nice mist that stays in the sink. It runs on spray or straight and the switch underneath make the switch quick and easy. The Pull out is perfect for rinsing the sink. The pullout sets far enough back that it will not just hang out of the end of the faucet. When I am working in the sink the faucet is not in my way causing aggravation. I can't believe I have put up with an ordinary faucet all these years. The soap dispenser is awesome. I have two others but will use this one for soft scrub to make cleansing the sinks so easy. No more messy powder cans. Eventually I will swap the other two dispensers for the ones that match my dispenser for my dish soap and hand soap since I am all about organization and efficiency. The Delta was also a recommended brand by the plumbers I trust whole heartedly I hope it lasts for many years. Pleased in Nebraska

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Low flow The pull-out hose broke down, putting black chunks of hose into the water. The replacement hose that was sent is suppose to last longer before it does the same thing according to support. The new hose restricts the water flow, cutting the pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT VALUE My sister-in-law called me in a panic one night because her old kitchen faucet supply line burst and flooded the kitchen. I went to the local home center and selected a Delta 4153-AR-DST to replace here broken faucet. First of all, this faucet looks very nice with her kitchen color scheme. Secondly, it installed very easily (surprising as the hole cut out in the counter top was very odd). The faucet operates smoothly and is very easy to operate, unlike her previous faucet. The connections on this faucet make the final hook up so simple and are nearly fool proof.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handle problem I bought this faucet in March 2014 and have had a problem with the handle becoming loose and finally just lifting off in my hand one day. I put in a new set screw , but the handle became loose again in less than two months. Have to keep tightening it with a small Allen wrench weekly now. I like the look of the faucet and this is the only problem. It is a design flaw because the set screw is too small for the size of the handle.Am going to have to shop for another faucet, but it will not be a Delta product.

I'd assumed all faucets did that so it didn't occur to me to look closely. I need to manually shove the nozzle back in and yank it out because it doesn't click into place. And the sprayer is great but I want it to go back to stream for the next use. I suppose it's my fault for not asking before I got this one. I regret my purchase.

Sprayer Clogged

My 4153-RB-DST has a partially clogged sprayer which causes the sprayer to spray water in various directions, especially toward the user! How do I clean it out?

Hi wyealbert, Thank you for your question. The wand on your model 4153-RB-DST is equipped with our touch clean system on the spray pattern holes. Simply wipe you finger across the rubber nubbins to clean. To clean the entire wand we recommend soaking the wand in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water to help break up any mineral build up. Make sure to rinse the wand when finished. Thanks, Dave

Can the handle of this facet be installed on the left hand side instead of the right?

Hi, Donnaflowers! Thank you for your question. We recommend installing this faucet with the handle on the right. You may install the faucet with the handle on the left side, but the temperature adjustment will be opposite of the standard operation for single handle faucets. You could compensate for this by swapping the hot and cold supply lines under the sink. However, the red/blue button on the handle will no longer indicate the correct temperature. If the water is running with on spray, will it remain on spray when the water is turned off and then back on? I have seen other pullout faucets that revert to stream when the water is turned off and then back on.

what is the difference between models 4153-AR-DST and 4153-DST? also, I need a pull-down kitchen faucet that is less than 15" maximum height. Suggestions, please.

Thank you for your question, anne38! The model 4153-DST is Chrome and 4153-AR-DST has the Arctic Stainless finish. The top of the spout is 12 5/16" above the deck surface. All of our current pull-out models are under 15" tall.
