Rated 1 out of 5 by from Annoying - replacing after 6 months The turn-off mechanism is very sensitive. If you don't hit the point with the handle just right it drips/flows. It is centered so you have to bring the handle down and then up to the exact spot. I have mastered it 95% of the time but my husband is ready to yank it out. I am shopping for a replacement today.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Purchased this faucet for a kitchen renovation. Being a Delta product, I assumed it would be well engineered and manufactured. I am disappointed. Although attractive I have found the exact same problems identified by a reviewer of this faucet published five years ago. See below: "Faucet looks nice. Wanted something streamlined and not too tall. The pressure fit handle is a bummer. You really have to push hard to get it back in all the way. Usually it's not all the way seated which works but doesn't look nice. The handle to turn it on and off is very fussy and if you don't push it in just right it doesn't shut off. It's not a huge deal but annoying enough to make me dislike this particular design. It runs really hot or cold, the adjustment for warm is so narrow that I cant get warm unless I'm very careful to adjust it. I don't know why 99% of the positioning is burning hot or cold and 1% is warm."

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Faucet with Poor Durability For the most part the faucet is ok. The wand didn't last a full year before the buttons started to stop working properly. I tried descaling it thinking there might have been some gunk build up in the parts. That helped the flow a bit but after a few more months the buttons themselves stopped changing the water flow type to where the water came out using both flow types at once. For the price of this faucet (Artic Stainless) I would have expected the wand to be higher in quality and durability. No reason I should have to replace the wand after 12 months of use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pluses and minuses Nice looking. Very difficult to find the “just right spot for warm water, it’s easy for just hot or just cold”. Hose for sprayer is too long so the weight on the bottom just sits on the bottom of the cabinet defeating its purpose of locking it back to the faucet. Sprayer is chintzy plastic. If I knew all that from the before installing I would have chosen something else. Do like the lower profile

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice faucet but Flow Switch is Cheap About a year after we bought it the flow switch stopped working, It Wouldn't switch back from spray to flow, so the only way to go back to flow is to turn it off and on. Now, about three years in, the flow switch is leaking water wildly, so it gets everything wet around the sink. Seemed well made when we bought it and maybe three years is the life of a faucet, but we had our former faucet for more than 10. Disappointing.

We have the Single Handle Pull-Out Kitchen Faucet 4153-RB-DST, but recently the handle at the Cartridge Value always has trouble stopping the flow of water completely. What is your suggestion? Is there a life time warranty for this issue?

Will the nut that secures the faucet to the counter top loosen in time causing the faucet to move. If so is there an additional way to prevent this from happening.

My Delta 4153-DST started leaking. I have to give the handle a HARD jerk to the right to stop drips or slow flows. This began 2 weeks ago. I notice the entire base is lose. Tried to tighten this from underneath, but could not see how to do this. Help

We have 3 inches between our backsplash and our sink, and the hole is obviously in the middle (approx 1.5 inches from backsplash). The specs for this faucet say we need a minimum of 2.5 inches, but I assume that is from the center of the hole. Correct?

Hello, the LInden (4153-AR-DST) faucet lists a minimum 2.5" clearance from the backsplash. Is this measured from the backsplash to the center of the hole? If to the base of the faucet, how do I determine where that would be?

4153-DST pullout faucet: What is the maximum height from the deck to the top of the on-off handle? Bottom of window ledge above sink is about 7.5 inches above the countertop and need to know if the handle would fit under the ledge. Thanks.

How to stop leaking after the faucet was used for 4 years?

Good morning Cdle! Thank you for your question! I do apologize that your faucet is leaking and we will be happy to help you. Leaking like you are describing is typically caused by debris. If only one side is affected, there is debris in the supply line. To flush the supply line, first shut off the hot and cold water supply. Remove the hot supply line from the shut off valve and place the line into a bucket. Open the handle to the middle position, fully open, then turn the cold supply back on for one minute. The cold water should flow through the faucet and out the hot supply tube. Reconnect the supply line and turn on both supplies. Check flow from the faucet. If this does not help, please let us know. My 4153-AR-DST faucet (MFG 2014) either drips or has a small stream many times when shut down. I believe it has a replacement cartridge. Is this correct? If so, what is the replacement procedure? If not what are my options?

What years was this faucet made? Our house was built in 2013 and we had this installed but I want to put a new cartridge in it as it is noticeably more 'touchy' to get the water completely shut off. For that year what would the part numbers be?

Hello Boomer, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The Delta 4153-DST faucet model is available from 2010 to the present. For the issue you describe, we recommend flushing the faucet and replacing the RP50587 cartridge if the issue remains. Be sure to securely tighten the bonnet nut with a wrench. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts/product/RP50587.html To flush the unit, turn the supply off to both the hot and cold-water lines. Once off, turn the handle on the faucet to the on position and leave it there to bleed the lines of any excess water. Next, disconnect the hot water supply line and place it inside of a bucket. Once the line is securely positioned into the bucket, turn on the cold-water supply. Since the handle was left in the on position, the water will flow up the cold supply line, through the faucet cartridge, and back down the hot water line into the bucket. Leave this flowing for at least 30 seconds. After flushing, reconnect the hot water line and repeat this process with the cold-water line to ensure all particles have been removed from both supplies.
