Very big faucet; Finish different in person
I bought this faucet for our new kitchen a month ago and am sadly replacing it. I have a large sink, so wanted a larger sized faucet, however, this one is so large, it comes out farther into the sink than I expected. In addition, the nossel is slightly angled so the water comes out even closer to the front edge of the sink and water sprays everywhere when washing dishes. I'm swapping it out for a faucet that comes down lower/straighter and doesn't come out so far into the sink. I was also a bit disappointed in the finish. I had expected it to be like a standard oil rubbed bronze look, but it almost looks as if its been scratched all over with a wire metal brush so that lighter copper streaks come through the darker finish. On the plus side, it works great and the water pressure coming out of the faucet is better than expected.

Nice Faucet, Easy install
Good looking faucet. Sprayer works well and has good water pressure. I like the magnetic lock that holds the sprayer in place. Very easy to install. Once I got the old one out, it took about 15-20 minutes to get this one installed. It was also a lower price than some of the other faucets I was looking at.

I did a lot of research before purchasing this faucet. some of the complaints were low water flow, and difficulty shutting it off. I find no problem with the water flow (we have a well and perhaps are used to low water pressure). I do occasionally find that I do not completely shut off the faucet--you have to hit the exact right spot or it dribbles. That has only happened a few times and it is obvious and easily remedied. The final reason that I chose a Delta over a Moen is that the Delta uses a magnet to secure the pull out spray. This alone makes the faucet worth it--you will never have a dangling spray hose! The faucet looks very modern and sleek

One question!
I called Delta the morning the plumber installed it. IF, on separate handles, HOT is on the left, COLD right, then why is HOT push back and COLD pull to front on this single handle faucet? I stumped customer service--no answer! I'm getting used to it and I do like it very much.

Love this. Love the pull down sprayer.
I ordered this when I was remodeling my kitchen. When the plumbers put it in, I was surprised it seemed big. Now that I have used it, I absolutely love it. Goes great with my new sink, which is deeper than my old one.

Really nice faucet
We've had this faucet installed for about a month now - it is a really nice faucet. I especially like the on/off switch for the spray feature - it gives you a satisfying click when switching from spray to stream. The magnetic head is also a great feature, it ensures you will never have a dangling spray head.

First, I admit to a serious aversion to single lever faucets, and this one does demonstrate some of the reasons why. But more later on that. It is very attractive, and while I could see some of the problems people complained about, I thought those complaints stemmed from a lack of understanding of how the faucet pull-down works ( "magnets don't always work"), and a complaint that the spray/stream doesn't revert to a default setting. This latter is fine with me. Just because I turn off the water during a spray doesn't mean I want it to go back to a stream. So that's just a question of preference. As for the magnet, I found out pretty quickly what that complaint was about. The magnet is in a certain place inside and if you twist the sprayer away from the magnet, it won't retract. However, once you find that "sweet spot", it works just fine. My aversion to single levers still applies. There is little variance between positions;that is, it is pretty darned easy to have the hot water half on if you're not careful when you want cold, and vice versa. This potentially wastes a lot of hot water. Also the on-off function means that sometimes as I withdraw my hand the water comes back on because of a very slight catch from my hand. Also, the pressure has very little variance. It takes conscious consideration to get the right amount of water stream. Apart the single lever issues, I do like this faucet very much, especially the spray function.

My main problem is making sure it is in the off position. Sometimes if you don't get it quite right, it's not all the way off. I'm sure I will get used to it at some point. Just have to think about shutting it off. Love the way it looks and color.

water-saving and easy to use
I worried that this deck-mount faucet would be awkward as my concrete counter required installation on the left side. That is no problem even for a right-handed person. It works well, saves water with a spray or full stream, and the lever is easy to manipulate even with your left hand. I didn't think I'd use the pull-out feature -but use it all the time!

Where is the hot water

Can I install the Leland beneath a cabinet with 16” clearance between the counter top and cabinet? If necessary, can the swan neck be detached from the body/handle assembly?

Our 9178-AR-DST-R is 14 7/8" inches tall. The spout can be removed, however, the body of the faucet has a brass piece with a friction spacer to help hold the spout on, and it will require more space to attach the spout properly without causing any damage to the faucet or the countertop.
